Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

It used to add $15, but then they 'fixed' it a couple days into the promo. The ensuing discussion ended quite a few pages back...had to have been at least two weeks ago.

Unfortunately, I didn't start taking advantage of this promo until after they fixed it.

EDIT: OK, the discussion is in the GS promo thread...reading your comment made me forget I was in the Sears clearance thread... :p
 
I went to my Sears today and i could consider it a total bust because they had no clearance games or game section and among that they said that "we carry no video games anymore" Oh well. Went to K-Mart and Target both were flops guess ill hold off until next week.
 
Someone has been hiding games at my 'secret' sears...but I found their stash today.

I will leave it and buy it next drop. I did get Bionicle on GC for .97. I also got my singstar PS3 bundle receipt adjusted from 9.97 to 1.97!

somehow i dont think its really worth it to hide items because there will always be people like us that will find it eventually. its like hiding it for the person who will eventually find it for a much cheaper price than they couldve gotten it at the time.

like that time from circuit city where i found a bunch of clearance games behind the game guides rack. they had okami for the ps2 and some other gems like odin sphere, etc... i mean obviously nobody will look for stuff there.
 
Agree. I don't bother to hide games. Only CAGers know this stuff, especially at Sears with their clusterfuck of a videogame section and inability to properly tag games. If anything, hiding games means that they'll be damaged when you come back for them.

bought warhawk/bluetooth headphone combo for 16 bucks
ps2 network adapter 13 dollars
wii points cards for 13 dollars
wii classic controller 13 dollars

also bought 6 copies brand new sealed, viewtiful joe for the gamecube. they were 4.50 each. I thought they were rare or something, i guess not according to ebay. back to sears they go!

they also had games like no more heroes, batallion wars, resident evil 4, for 19.99 clearance. they had ps2 singstars for 25, and american idol ps2 sets for 25... tons of psp quality games like syphon filter, parrapa the rappa for 2 dollars...

i have those games, and they arent meant for flipping. but hopefully they go down more.
 
It sounds like Sears has some great deals on clearance items. I'll have to check out my local Sears next week and see if there's anything worth getting.

In the mall in El Cajon CA I found a copy of Lair (PS3) for $6.97 as reported by others, a copy of Twilight Princess (GC) for $4.97 and a copy of NFL Head Coach 07 for $.25 hahaha.

I picked up Platypus (PSP) and Scurge: Hive (DS) for $0.97 each yesterday @ Huntington, WV mall. Those were the last of the stickered UPC games there.
 
My sears blows. 5 copies of MMR and not one of them had the generic UPC sticker so they were ringing up 14.99. Really annoying.
 
I picked up a copy of Head Coach for the Xbox for a quarter today. I was even offered the replacement plan for an additional four cents. I turned it down. Bad move on my part? haha

I nabbed a DDR2 pack too for $4.97 along with a copy of Lair for $6.97. Had a Bioncle, but gave it to a Grandmother whose kid was crying for a game, any game. Told her, "This one's $2." Got thanked, and left with my 2 games.
 
i just came back from a long day of running around everywhere. i stopped by at sears and kmart on the way home. only found these:

death by degrees ps2 - .97
megaman team colonel gba x2 - .97 ea.
bionicle gc - .97

i checked a few other things but they're not worth mentioning. i suppose there were no drops this week. well maybe except for Guitar Hero II bundle for the 360, it scanned at $24.97 unmarked. i really dont think this game is worth this much anymore so i left it. im sure it'll go down at the next markdown.

please keep checking those warhawks, eternal sonata, eye of judgement, and dynasty warriors gundams to see if they drop.
 
Hey, would anyone be willing to work with me to do a big price check of the whole list of clearance stuff? A bunch of items that are on there are OOS or have been brought out of clearance, and it would be nice to clean it up.

I was thinking of looking up the UPC to everything and making Barcodes, and putting the bar codes into a PDF. Grab a pen, stand next to the price scanner, and jot down all values given. Though it would need to be done at multiple sears to ensure that the list is as right as possible.

there is a UPC clearance database somewhere (i dont remember where). the guy that runs it is on cag too.

They probably won't drop for at least a week right? Since next Sunday is Feburary 1st and usually by the 3rd or 4th some stores have the monthly drops in the system.

I am hoping the value UPC Gamecube games (the ones that are stuck at $4.97 like Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2), finally drop to $0.97.

It would also be nice to see Armored Core 4 go to under $10, I am hoping for $4.97 but I think it will be $9.97 next month.

Guys I can help too. My sears isn't very busy at all and they usually have most of the games so I can get the guys in electronics to scan several for me without a problem. The only thing is my sears doesn't have price scanners so if the game isn't physically at the store, I won't be able to get a scanned price.

yeah it wont be for another week. but who knows really. they had alot of viewtiful joe's 1 and 2 for the 'cube but they were $4.97.. i've already gotten it for that price awhile back at kmart.

For me, the only problem with a UPC sheet is I don't have access to a printer at the moment. You can be damn sure I bring up stacks of games to the self scanner though, even with employee eyes planted firmly on my back :)

I hate how there is no price scanner close to the electronics section at my sears. I have to take all my games to a completely different department on the other side of the store.
 
I hit up 5 sears including a standalone store that was liquidating. The liquidating store had all video games for 40% off (unfortunately they didnt have the same regular clearance prices that the mall does). Warhawk was still $15 after the 40%, so i snagged that.

The rest were the usual finds, Manhunt 2 PSP for $4.97, Singstar 80's bundle for $4.97, and non-clearance, but a must buy, Kareoke Revolution: American Idol w/ Mic (Wii) for $39.99 (goes for $100+ on ebay).

Went to another sears butthey were already closing so I took what I knew that was clearanced and headed to the register downstairs.

I should quickly note that I picked up Platypus for $.97 and Manhunt 2 for $4.97. Thanks to those who posted the deals. I'm still looking out for more deals for others!

Literally, I picked up Buzz PS2 and SingStar Amped for a total of 7 bucks... in the same mall. ;)
 
Lots of people local to me in this thread! I had no luck finding anything at a steal at Natick mall, maybe was looking at the wrong things. They were the best organized and ticketed of the 5-6 Sears Electronics departments I've been to so that surely had something to do with it.

Anyways, to the person who wanted Lair; I bought it for $6.97 to flip on eBay before I saw your post. If you see this and still want it I'll sell it to you for what I paid + costs (shipping, tax, Paypal) assuming it doesn't sell on eBay which it's looking like it won't.
 
I picked up 3 64mb x360 memory card that's been on that store forever. It has $4.97 tag on it too.

So pm me if anybody wants it, just pay me extra for shipping and paypal fee.
