Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

FFFFFFFFFFFFfffffffffff I went to my local sears a week ago to look for deals, CREEPIEST PLACE EVER. I found their gaming section, NOTHING. Everything was retail so I was def pissed. I had to walk out of there and the place was a ghost town yet it was packed with stuff, jesus ..

i've been waiting to find one of these, just got the 60gig and wanted to cheaply move profile and saves.

well, i got tired of waiting and purchased the 512 unit yesterday. otherwise, i would have totally taken one of those. thanks anyway, just my luck though

ye money is money :) i don't mind makin just $10 off something i paid little to nothing for...and i have 7 mercury meltdowns ready to trade into GS for the $30 off select wii game (pairing them with some games i have from fye clearance and some left over from bbv b1g1)
 
is there some sort of clearance list that sears has? For instance...

I walked into Sears the other day and wanted to purchase Mercury Meltdown x2...one of them had a clearance sticker/UPC on the back while the other one didn't...When the employee rung both of them up he said..oh wait..this must be a mistake..and got his manager who proceeded to peel off the sticker (after a very heated argument w/me) and said they're on clearance for $14.99...when she asked me if i still wanted them I said (under my breath) fuck off and walked away...so explain to me exactly how I can get those MM's for $0.97 (since i've done it before when ALL of them had stickers on them when i bought them at a different store)

You should only bring up the ones that have the stickers, then when they ring up at the .97 price there is not much they can say. If you have two apparently identical items that ring up for different prices, that's going to throw up some flags.

Picked up Dynasty Warriors vs Gundam. It was 14.97, but I also got 20% off because it was in a special bin. Decent deal I thought... except for the fact it wasn't shrunk wrapped anymore. This store has a serious problem with theft. I see successful and failed attempts at stealing the games all over... so many games with the shrinkwrap cut or tore off. Luckily Dynasty Warriors was still in there and mint.

I can confirm DW: Gundam for the :360: at $14.97 (espically happy since I missed out on the CC deal)

I was also able to score 2 copies of DDR 2 for the :360: for $4.97.

Some employee had it off to the side when I asked if they had anymore he said no. Then I saw them behind a TV by the games. So I grabbed them.

Thank god for the UPC scanner or I would have thought they really didn't have them
 
Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake VA had one copy of Eternal Sonata that I picked up for 16.97. They also had No More Heroes marked for 19.99. I've already beaten it, but I'm looking to pick it up again sometime in the future.
 
I checked out my local Sears, and they had a decent amount of games over there. However, the only clearanced price game I was looking for that they had was Mercury Meltdown Revolution for the Wii. Unfortunately, it was still in the glass case and didn't look like it had a clearance UPC sticker. I was looking for Full Auto 2 for the PS3, but my Sears didn't have any. Anyway, it looks like there are some great deals that come out of Sears every so often. I'll definitely have to monitor this thread and get a jump on the next price drops.

Always check the price at the scanner or counter.

The DDR was regular price on the package but rang up $4.97 same with the Gundam game.

I doubt they would've had a clearance sticker on a game that was in their display case. Besides, I didn't want the game enough to go through the hassle.

MMR is one of those games that has to have the clearance UPC on it. I brought my UPC sheet with me, and the game scanned for $14.99. Full Auto 2 scanned for $.97, but unfortunately, my Sears didn't have any copies.

:wii: mercury meltdown - .97 x2
:ds: scurge - .97
:360: two worlds - 1.97
:xbox: nfl head coach - .25
:gba: final fantasy VI - 19.97 x2

they had 1 of each except for MMR and FF6 which had 2 of each. those FF are getting harder to find so i picked those up. the MMR had 2 copies, one priced at .97 and the other was priced at 14.99. they priced matched the 14.99 to the .97 so that was cool. also had them scan a Pinky (pink 360 controller) and it came up at 49.99. oh well.

they should do that.. its not your fault they didnt take the stickers off.. im not even sure if they're supposed to. i went to a sears yesterday and they had the sign that says CLEARANCE GAMES FROM .97 to 19.97. so it seems like another jerk off manager doing whatever he wants..:roll:

Could that mean the Feburary drops were early? Star Wars Battlefront was $4.97 at 2 different Sears I went to in the past few weeks. Same with Viewtiful Joe 2. Or maybe that store just had lower prices.

I didn't think Feb would come already. It would make sense though with all these new drops.

yeah i wasnt much of a fan of the $6.97 price for lair. since it doesnt flip good (i dont settle for anything lower than $10 profit) i decided to leave it. part of me wanted it, but my wallet would suffer if i do. luckily sears 2 had it priced at .97 :bouncy:

Was the $.97 price on Lair YMMV, or was it a price drop that was implemented at Sears 2 (not at Sears 1 yet)? If it really is $.97, then I need to pick up a couple of copies - 1 to keep for when I eventually get a PS3 and another to flip.
 
i'm sorry if this was asked before, as I'm sure it has but does Sears only drop prices on electronics once a month? I notice some of the stickers at my store saying Dec and Jan so I was thinking it only happened once a month. So in other words going there once a week wouldn't really make sense.
