Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

A lot of people are confirming the deal. I got mine in Long Island, NY. People in Queens, NY have confirmed the deal as well as other states.
 
This has been the case for a long time now -- I can confirm the XB1 Live cards work with the 360 just fine. I did this back in June, actually, when the 12-Month Live boxes with Crimson Skies and the XB1 Live Arcade disc were on clearance for $10.

I'll have to look for that Harmony remote, though -- I've been looking at those for months now!
 
So the old live cards DO work for 360? I called the number on the package a while ago and they said the codes were different blah blah and it wouldn't work...

CS doesnt know. Its been confirmed to work and you'll only know yourself when you punch in those numbers. I'll be doing that when I get home.

Lets us know when you get home, because I've heard many reports that they DIDN'T work.
 
I'm amazed at all the people who think there's a difference between Xbox Live for the 360 and original Xbox.

Xbox live is a service that just happens to works for both consoles. When you subscribe to Xbox Live you are subscribing the the service. The service doesnt' care whether you own an Xbox, 360, or neither.

The look of the cards is the only difference. MS changed their color scheme with the launch of the 360. The codes work just fine.

I currently have a subscription valid through 2010 all through old Xbox cards. I've used cards that expired in March, June & one with no expiration. I used all of these cards after they had supposedly "expired" and they all worked perfectly.

I definitely will. Ive been looking to get Xbox Live but I'm too cheap to spend the $40-$60 for 1 year. So if this works..SCORE!
 
I used one of those cards a couple weeks ago and it worked just fine - looked just like that - came from sears - was 15 bux (14.98 or something like that) and came with a little xbox live nylon pouch for your headset.
 
I have used one of these cards, multiple times, without a problem. Exact same packaging, though not from Sears. My Xbox Live expires in 2011, I think ;)
 
I got the Harmony remote a couple weeks back at Sears. It was marked 49. but it rang up at 35 + tax. Great deal.

Just to confirm - can you punch in these codes at any time, or do you have to wait for your current sub to run out? i.e., mine expires Aug '08, so can I just buy one of these cards now, enter code, and my exp date moves to Aug '09?

The remote has the xbox buttons so you can navigate through the xbox dashboard and watch dvds using the xbox.

$35 is a damn good price. These go for $100 normally. Good gift too.

Anytime, it will just extend your existing live account by a year
 
I'll be jumping on this when I get home, I'll confirm if the codes work or not. I always thought that regular Xbox and Xbox 360 Live were two different services. Are the cards normally the same price, or is this just Sears not knowing that there's no difference?
 
Just called my local B&M (douglassville Ga.) and they confirmed that they are in stock and $14.99

I used the ancient-style XBLive 1 Year Cards before on my 360 without a problem. The last one was back in September, if I recall, from a Target clearance. Worth every single penny!

And iazybandit, you got yours on LI? Which one, pray tell? Mayhaps Hicksville? There's a load of them around but if it's somewhat close to home it means I should start frequenting them again in the future. ;)
 
hmm.. if thats the only difference I don't see the advantage, I can just program the softbuttons on my 550 to do that.

but if you DON'T have a harmony remote, GET THIS (especially if you have a home theater setup that require you to turn on TV, receiver, cable box, DVD player, etc.) it TRULY is a universal remote and a snap to program

I have this remote. Only diff is the button color. You can program your remote to execute the same functions as this remote. I paid $67 for mine, but I think the retail is $100 as mentioned. I use it to run my MCPC. If I could find this remote for $37, I'd buy one as a spare.

Picked up an older Xbox Live Premium Pack for Xbox 360 (the one that has an expired $20 rebate for any Xbox 360 game) for $7.97 at my Sears in Greenville, SC (Sorry, it was the last one)!!

Comes with:

12-month subscription card
200 XBLA points
Bankshot Billiards 2 (already had this)
Headset (mine is dying so this was good)

Says it subscription card expires 6/07, but as other posters have said, it shouldn't matter. Unfortunately my 360 recently RROD'd so I won't be able to try it out for a few more weeks when it comes back.

But for $8, I'm a happy camper!

these work

i got these from toysrus last year for $20, took all 10 of them and helped out a few peeps here on CAG. these were the ones with the stupid pouch

i found 2 more at kmart during a trip to NH. bought them for 2 friends. $20. these came with PGR2 and a XBOX1 headset. pretty good deal this was.

all confirmed to work on 360 XBL
 
sweet i can go get one at my local sears. I called them and they one left just for me and I asked them to put it on hold for me to pick up tomorrow.

I went to the SEARS near my job in Garden City on Franklin Ave. I picked up 5 during lunch and picked up the last 6 after work.

Thanks, got a Harmony remote at the Lewisville, TX Sears! There were a few more there, too.

They were marked as being "on sale" at $59, but rang up at $36.97.
 
I checked 2 Sears locations (Burlington, MA and Saugus, MA) and I didn't see anything good on clearance except for Call of Duty 2 for 360 that I picked up for 18.87 after tax (last one). I was really looking for one of those Live cards too.

I went to 2 diffferent Sears with no luck. One had no evidence of ever carrying the remote. The other one had an empty space where the remote was, but it was tagged on the shelf "SALE $59.99." And of course, I didn't see any of those old Xbox Live subs.

If anyone manages to find an extra Harmony remote, can you pick one up for me? Of course I'd reimburse you and I'd really apprieciate it. I want one as a Christmas gift to myself. :lol:
 
I haven't been to a Sears in years, are clearance items set aside somewhere, or are they in their respective departments with clearance stickers or whatever on them?

They were in respective departments. No clearance stickers or anything. I asked clerk what they price thinking they might know of the clearance...instead, they point to the peg with the price. So they scan and its the clearance price and asked if I wanted it.
