Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

yikes. i think one of the big reasons why bundles go on clearance faster is because of their precious shelf space. now that im thinking about it, i think i remember seeing a scene it bundle at that sears i went to and forgot to pick it up #-o

phear3d, regarding the OP -- I haven't gotten any Singstar Amped game only's checked, but its the bundle that was ringing at $1.97. (The OP says otherwise)

The Halo 3 LE price is YMMV.

A store near me had some in stock, but it was out of the system and I was charged full price fromt he price tag.


I went to a store where I knew it was still ringing up at $5, but the manager refused to PM it.

I just picked up 2 Megaman Battle Network 5's for 3.97 each, I don't know if that was that great of a deal but it was the only GBA game they had left that was worth buying with the special sticker UPC on it.

It seems like they took the sticker UPC's off a lot of games (especially the GBA games) and just marked them up to 9.99.
 
went to my local sears today and they didnt have anything from thr new drop list except for hd-dvd player. rang up at 4.97. guy scanned it twice to make sure it was right. it was and i walked out with a dvd player for 5 bucks. sweet!

To save everyone the trouble this week, I picked up pretty much every copy of Singstar Amped and Singstar vol.1 @ almost all sears location in San Diego for xmas gifts.
 
went to the la puente sears, found the singstar vol 1 ps3 bundle and the singstar country ps2 bundle, but they rang up at 59.99 and 49.99, respectively. Guess the price must've gone back up after the weekend.
 
Apparently the Puentes Sears isn't the place to go based on all your posts. Neither is the Burbank one. I've yet to find a good mentioned deal there. I'm waiting for FEAR to drop but it may take AGES. It's at $19.97 currently. Darkness is at $29.99

The reason I ask, is because he seemed kinda shady, and was likely a gamer...he just had that "look"...EDIT, after reading up, it seems I should print UPCs...any idea how much mario kart would be? I have a hard time believing a 6 year old gc game rings up 29.99.

print the upc, go back to the store and find a price scanner. those games should be cheaper that they should be. unless their management likes to hold on to things that will never sell for years, that would be the only time i would believe them.

sears clearance are generally YMMV. i have been to alot of sears and prices are almost completely different. i found singstar 80s for $4.97 at one and $49.99 at the other. its possible, but most of them do follow nationwide markdowns
 
I really wish they would go back to non YMMV pricing, I think it was around 2006 when it started to change. It used to be one price was the same at all the Sears stores, now not so much. Plus it makes it difficult to know if you are getting the best price. When i bought the Singstar Bundle for PS3 it was $9.97 at the first Sears I went to. A few days later I went to another Sears and happened to scan it on my sheet of UPC's since it was so close to other UPC's I wanted to check, it showed $14.97 but was OOS. If it was in stock and I hadn't gotten it for $9.97 at the other store, I might have thought the $14.97 price was the best price and gotten it there even though I would have been overpaying.

thanks for the answer dude...the only problem I have, is that scanners are usually hard to find there, its not like target where they are all over the place. I dont think I have ever seen a scanner in sears. Not where normal customers can access them, anyways

They are there, but you're right: they're sporadically placed and can be hard-to-find. Still, even if you have to go to an entirely different section of the store, it's often worth it. It helps to check the ceiling for a hanging "Check Price Here" sign, and then look for the hidden kiosk.
 
yup you just need to find them. i usually check near the clothing section for kids.. by home goods where the kitchen stuff are usually have a scanner there. sometimes near registers.
 
Picked up 2 copies of Singstar bundle PS3 in Coral Gables florida for 9.997 each, pretty excited one to keep and play with drunken friends one to trade to BBV for 36 bucks and make back what I paid.
 
Can anyone do me a favor and send me the singstar ps3 game for $15 shipped? Feel free to keep the mics. Seems like the best alternative to Newegg's $20 pricepoint.
 
Are the SingStar microphones exactly the same between the PS2 and PS3 bundles? From the picture on the packages they look the same though.

It's one thing when you go to a lot of trouble to save $5 yourself but now you want someone to find a bundle, open it, go to another store, buy an envelope, take that envelope to the P.O. and stand in line just so you can save $4.99. You need to evaluate your cheapness.

Smart critique.

Let's say tax is 10% (for some easy math), so the bundle would be $11. You'd be keeping the mics so it would only cost $2 to ship the game plus a $1 mailer makes it $14. Then, you factor in gas money and time wasted, damn...I'm shortchanging my fellow cags.

Looks like you were right. That's real selfish on my end with no real compensation ($1ish and mics).

I found Spider-man Friend or Foe for 3.97 today at a Sears in Littleton, CO. I played it with a buddy afterwards and "Ugh" did it stink.
 
I actually saw a copy of NFL Head Coach for XBox tagged at $0.47. Crazy that it would actually still be there, I mean even if it wasn't the greatest game or is old, how could someone not buy a game for $0.47. I already got it from another Sears but it was surprising to see it. I did pick up Death By Degrees for PS2 also tagged $0.97, so that was shocking to find still there.
 
I found an interesting and uber cheap item when I was on a road trip with my gf yesterday to a place to see Christmas lights. I stopped at a Sears I hadn't stopped at in forever and found a Hewlett Packard printer for $1.97.

It's model # J 2460. It's a small printer, almost a photo printer size one and by now most stores will probably only have the display model left.

That was all that was left at this store(which was getting ready to close as I pulled up), so I didn't take it since between the wires and ink carts it'd cost me $50 to get a fully working printer.

But if any of you can find one for this price and it's complete, I'd say that $2 for a printer is a steal, no?
 
Wow... that like I used to tell people about driving 50 miles for cheaper gas... WHAT'S THE POINT!? you burn 3 gallons getting there, then 3 gallons back, so you could save 50 cents a gallon? Unless you're driving a Big Rig of have a hole in teh tank the wasted time and effort is like.. WTF!?

We were already going that way to go for dinner to use up some gift cards we had received for Christmas and Sears was RIGHT there. The store was right across from the restaurant(Red Lobster) that we went to, so I figured I might as well check it out while we were there.

It really wasn't that big of a deal.
 
I went to a Sears today hoping for ps3 singstar but all they had was Vol. 2. I did find a 360 HD DVD drive locked up in the case partially hidden. The clerk thought it was a mistake when it rang up $4.97. Now I just need a 360 *lol*

The HD-DVD drives work as an external CD/DVD drive for a PC as well, if I remember correctly. So for $5 you could use it on your PC. However, if you want to use it as an actual HD-DVD drive on the PC, then you will need a top of the line PC with a ton of resources and alot of patience to get it working.
 
If anyone gets a 360 HD-DVD drive & decides they dont want it, plmk, I'm looking to trade other clearance games/accessories for it (not necessarily Sears either).
 
I was also able to get a couple of Singstar 80s yesterday for 4.97, it is crazy that these made it. Sure they were marked 49.99, but someone should have known and picked them up.
 
I went to a Sears yesterday that had the Singstar bundle listed as in stock online... but they didn't have it. :( And when I went to get SS Amped price check, it was listed at $29.99. Also decided to try my luck with the Country bunlde for the PS2, it was $49.99. This was all at the Sears in East Northport, NY.
