Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Glad to contribute, the only thing is I have no idea if my Sears did this months drops yet because elebits was the same price last month.
 
thanks for that, mostly retail. nothing worth jumping from. if you can, go to another sears maybe they had the expected drops we keep hearing. we need dreWii and (psp)snake to report back. im sure they're busy hoarding atm :)

There's a chance I can get to another one at lunch. That one is bizarre with clearance pricing though.

There's also the chance they never carried the game to begin with. I don't think I've ever seen it at a Sears store.
 
Interesting stat that probably no one cares about: of my modest collection of 22 PS3 games, 8 come from Sears clearance (36%).

Where have you gotten most of your games?
 
Just checked my local Sears again today, still does not have March pricing. I might go up to another one later and check CC, Target and TRU so it isn't a wasted trip if that one has the old pricing as well.
 
if anyone plans on checking prices, could you add shivering isles to your list? my local store has had copies of it since it came out and i don't know if they have ever sold 1 of them, but they have remained at $30 for a year and a half.

at this point, i'd probably just be better off getting the game of the year edition of oblivion because amazon sells that for $28.
 
I'm going to try again tomorrow at that store, last month people reported getting stuff on the 5th, both stores I checked were still on old pricing, then the next day on Friday the 6th, both stores had the new pricing.
 
I tried to get Lair at the Bronx Sears yesterday and it rang up for full price of $59.99, I walked out. Sales girl was hot though. lol

Yeah a store around me has like 10 copies and they all still ring up $59.99 lol funny thing is anywhere I see it sold in stores its still at $59.99 why had Sony not dropped the prices on some of thier old titles like that,uncharted,heavenly sword..... Milking the cow until the new one comes out ? ;)

This is exactly what I was wondering myself, why so many people were trying today when the real drops are supposed to be tomorrow. I remmeber reading a post that said the drops were on the 5th, but the changeover was for the evening of that day, so prices wouldn't be in effect until doors open on the 6th.

We still don't know for sure if there are going to be new drops, as far as I can tell this is just an assumed date. The original date of the 5th came from someone that had a game scanned with a hand held scanner that reported a future price change on the 5th. I haven't seen anyone post any information like this for this month.

If the game is not on clearance, then the prices are 'probably' the same from sears to sears. If its a clearance item, the prices can still vary, so if its something you are interested in, I would scan it. I found scene it for 5 dollars to 25 dollars last month.

See I like my way better of checking my UPC sheets today. Now when I go back tomorrow I can scan the same sheets and note any price differences. It may seem silly, but it makes it more fun for me!
 
Plus in the event the prices did drop early I wanted to make sure I got what I wanted before the employees did. It seems to be YMMV when prices drop, just going on what my local store does, December the prices dropped on the 4th, in January by the 9th (I wasn't checking everyday), Feburary on the 6th.
 
I checked a Sears today and they're still on the FEB pricing. Everything was the same. To top it off somebody bought the Mortal Kombat Kollection that I had my eye on for the next drop. It was stickered $24.97 but scanned $14.97, so I wonder if it was a CAG :whistle2:k

In other Sears clearance news, this store had signs for an additional 30% off clearance prices for apparel. With many winter coats already down to $14.97, it makes for a pretty good sale :D

I was thinking they were hotter than the ones I see at my other local retailers, but thanks for confirming that it's a national trend...

manhunt 2 ps2 2.97
world champion poker2 psp .97, even if game sucks it was only a dollar

some games had march stickers some did not at the tore i went to and they were yellow not pink
 
Sounds only World Championship Poker and Manhunt 2 dropped in price the others didn't. The reason why the price stickers didn't say March on the other games was that some stores don't update the sticker for the new month if the price didn't drop.
 
I'm looking for anything $2.97 and under. gba, and ps2, and gamecube, and xbox. If you can scan those games I'd appreciate it. Then I don't have to have security chase me to the scanners. :) thanks!

Probably at least 50% of my Gamecube collection is from Kmart, maybe even more than that, during that sale a few years ago where they had 3$ cube games I started with like 20 games and then magically it was up to 50-60.
 
If anyone wants to post their UPC print out that would be awesome :) I plan on going to a mall in Michigan today and will scan all the barcodes off a list. (don't wanna take games to the scanner since I was almost tackled by security last time).

My Sears had all MAR tags on the items, but I didnt see any prices that jumped out except

So im guessing these prices are automatic cuz their were no March stickers, but as i was leaving they were talking about stickering them. I'll prob. go back later today. Can anyone confirm these are updated prices (except Monster madness, guess that stayed the same).
 
I didn't scan any of the game only versions of the singstars, but as I look at the Gamestop TIV's on them, it may have been worth it!
