Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.


List

• date = date posted or updated
• cp = current price
• opp = old posted price
• (oos) = out of system
  
• * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)

Colors

• white = current update
• dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)

if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:

• Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
• Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  
• If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
• Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
  • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
  • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

This is the opposite as my sears. They are crammed into this open shelf with no prices. Kinda retarded.

Anyway. I tried to see if Jeanne D'arc was $5 at mine and it rung up $29.99. I did buy MLB 08 The Show (PSP) for $9.97. I though it was a good deal since most used online (half.com, ebay) are $11+ (shipping included). Plus I read 09 has frequent errors.

Well I only have 1 Sears near me and what you described is how it always was. Then a couple of months ago, they had a HUGE bin in the middle of the electronics department with clearance games and other $20 & under games. I guess people thought they were getting deals due to the fact that they games weren't in the case because within weeks there was about 1/5 of the games in the bins. I've yet to find a good deal at that place & doubt I ever will.

So, kinda confused here... after reading this thread yesterday afternoon I stopped by Sears on my way home. The games were all crammed in a locked glass case with only the spines showing (can't see the sticker prices for 95% of the games). They had copies of Heavenly Sword (the game I'm after), and on the spine they had a "Reduced: $24.95" sticker on the spine.

So, is my Sears just more expensive than others, or has the sale not started yet, or might the game have rung up for less than the posted $25?

Civ Rev - $9.97

Some other decent stuff there as well. I know I saw Stranglehold and I'm pretty sure I saw Folklore, but I don't recall prices exactly...no more than $14.97 each. I'm thinking about going back and picking up both if they're $9.97.

A first person horror/close combat game isn't everyone's cup of tea, obviously, but most people liked it and it's a steal at $5. If you don't like it, trade it in to GS for probably about what you paid or a little less and it's like a free or uber cheap rental.

I always laugh when I see these "Is this game worth $5?" posts. Seriously, five bucks. I know the economy is in the shitter, but why not live life on the edge and take a daring risk by dropping $5 on a videogame.

In Condemned 2, you can beat up bums with a toilet seat. Instant $5 worth of value right there.

I picked up Guitar Hero III for 360 game only for $2.97. I just had a hunch as I didn't remember seeing that posted here but there was a lot of talk about the bundles. It was tagged $14.97. Also picked up a GH Aero bundle for $7.97.

I really wish I hadn't jumped all over those GH III and GH Aero bundles at Best Buy for $40 and $30 (after special coupon) last Dec thinking that was a great deal though .
