Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

No surprise the Sears I went to had jack shit. It didn't have anything last month, so why would it have anything this month?

Most of the time you'll need a price scan. The $7.97 Guitar Hero bundles are still labeled $49.99, for example.
 
just a heads up. I got a guitar hero 3 bundle for xbox 360 for $5.50! with guitar. PS3 rung up at 14.95, PS2 rang up at 14.95

this was in Hawaii

I don't know how the hell anyone just blindly pays retail when a great deal is just a few mouse clicks away on the net.

Paying $40 or more for friggin' wires is just insane. Then again, my one ex paid $40 for ONE stupid shirt for me from Eddie Bauer. Same shit that's made for Wally World in the same sweatshops in some third world country, but because the tag is a 'brand name', it's worth MORE. fuck that.

Was digging around PSP games and found Final Fantasy V for GBA for $1.97. I know its not worth a whole lot but it filled a nice hole in my collection!

It sucks, it really does. I don't want to get into a discussion about hoarding v. non hoarding. I happen to get one of each item I buy, 2 if my girlfriend's little brother will play it. But walking in, announcing where you get your info from AND hoarding the games, presumably, to sell for profit is terrible.

it is encouraged to keep bragging about your finds because we dont always get a full list of clearance. its a great way to list new games on the op(s). i mean look at our list, its 3 post long!!!!!

I went to my favorite Sears to look for the :ps3: Guitar Hero Aerosmith Bundle for $7.97. But all they had a Guitar Hero 3 Bundle for $14.97. Although I wanted the cheaper one I bought it because its still a deal... After that I went to another Sears across town and they happened to have the Aerosmith bundle for $7.97. So after a quick and painless exchange I walked out of the store happy to save $7.. lol
 
They were stickered 99.99 on mine :)

Those sennheiser headphones should have gone down today as well. They were 50$ I wonder how much did it go down to. I bought 2 last month for 50$ each and I haven't even used it yet.

Btw dont buy the in-ear sennheiser headphones they have at sears they are the worst piece of shut I've ever used. The face or whatever it is u call it gets lost fairly easily and the rubber buds comes off as well.

most people dont give if u point out a clearance game to them. video games are chump change. ive found clearance tvs and gps's. thats the gold right there

There's about half jack crap at my Sears, so much so that I made up the term "half jack crap," save for a lone copy of Ninja Gaiden II, which is one of those games that you want but don't really want to spend money on.

Picked up a copy of PS3 Aerosmith Bundle for the $7.xx price. The cashier was surprised at how much I paid. Asked if how I knew and just said I price checked. Too bad this can't be traded in for higher.

1 lone copy of Lost Odyssey mixed with PS2 games that I quickly grabbed in a store that I had checked before , and the store 2 miles from me has about 4 Intercoolers left and had the PS3 GH Aerosmith bundle labled with a yellow $7.97 sticker that I grabbed also.
 
You have to be a dedicated shopper with an eagle eye at the Sears around me to get a clearance deal near the end of its price reduction. I have not paid attention to the GH bundles since I don't need any plastic instruments, but games seem to disappear too early for a CAG deal. Folklore? Yeah, right.
 
Just picked up the last Nyko Intercooler for $4.97. They had about half a dozen last month for $9.97 and that was still too much for me. Was waiting around to see if there would be any left or a price drop this month and I got the last one!

Also they have one Eye of Judgment bundle left for $29.97...was debating while I was there. Any thoughts on this?

And also there was Rockband SE PS3 for 69.97..and the GH Aerosmith for $24.97 still..altho that still had the May tag on it and didn't have it scanned to see if it has dropped.

:360: The Simpsons Game $4.97
:360: Bros in Arms HH $9.97

They had no :360: GH bundles remaining. One game-only copy of GH:Aero did scan at $14.97, which is pretty funny if the bundle cost less. Oh, and :wii: Cranium Kabooki scanned at $29.99, not on clearance.
 
Blah, will have to make a stop to my Sears ASAP. Any suggestions on games I should look up for the PS3 and Wii? I only have Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band 2 for the PS3 so pretty much ANY good game that's been cheap recently is a good suggestion xD Hopefully they'll still have a copy of GH Aerosmith though, could use another guitar.

Look in the OP, see if there are games you want and then go to Sears and ask them to be scanned and buy them if they are at the price you are looking for. How hard is that? Good is relative and so is cheap, no one else can make that call for you.

I've seen the EH 150 Sennheiser headphones tagged at $19.98 with a May sticker on it. I'll try and get it scanned the next time I'm at Sears.

I've actually been using these headphones for years on my PC and it has decent sound quality for the price. It gets uncomfortable after prolong use but if you use it long enough, you'll get used to it.

I'd say 7/10 is about right for Timeshift. I've been playing it a bit, and I've only noticed two major irks: enemies can kill you insanely fast if you're not careful, and the load times after each (frequent) death are pretty long.

It takes a while to get used to using your time powers, but once you do it's really fun. Freeze time, steal the gun out of an enemy's hand, and tag him with a grenade. Lolz ensue. Great game for $2.

Oh, and the graphics are pretty impressive too. I was expecting it to be pretty low-rent in that regard but I was pleasantly surprised.

I picked up Ninja Gaiden II for $10 at the recent FYE sale, and I'd say it's well worth grabbing for that much. It's enjoyable enough for what it is.

Went to Sears today looking for Guitar Hero III. I'd played it before at a friend's house and hadn't really liked it, but for that price I figured I'd give it another chance. They were out of the bundles, but had one game only copy left on the shelf (and, oddly, one empty display box -- don't think I've ever seen that in a Sears before, and don't know why they'd bother since the games are in a locked case). No clearance price labeled, so I asked the guy in electronics to check the price. "It says $49.99, so that's probably what it is." I told him that I'd read online that it's on clearance and he said "oh, well it might be cheaper then." When he saw how much cheaper ($2.97, as reported here), his jaw dropped. Would have liked to have gotten the bundle, but oh well. Bought it, then went over to Toys R Us and grabbed one of the Wired X-Plorer guitars they had for $10. I'm happy enough, I guess, though I'm wondering if it would be worth the effort to check the other Sears stores in the area for the bundles or not. Then again, the wired guitar doesn't require batteries, so that's a plus.

Oh, and the cashier put the empty display box back on the shelf for some reason, despite my having bought their last actual copy, so the next person going there looking for a deal on it is in for an unfortunate surprise. :roll:
