Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Anyone know what Sear's policy is for returning an item, sealed with receipt, to a different store than it was purchased at?

I got the Energizer Charger for 360 from Target since I was reading less than great reviews for the Nyko charger I picked up, so I want to return the Nyko one. However, I was thinking about heading the opposite direction of the Sears I bought it from next weekend. I've been to that area several times and while I did find a lot of good deals out that way, by the weekend a lot of the really good deals are gone, so I thought it might be fun to check another area. I'd like to get the charger returned but didn't know if they accepted returns at different stores.

As long as you have a receipt and its sealed you should have no problem no matter which sears it's at.
 
Seems like a lot of the games from the Ocean NJ Sears are just gone. The PS3 case used to be packed, now there's just the 12 or so games on racks, then 1/3 of the bottom has a row of different games. The rest is now filled with PSP and PS2 games. Same with the 360 section, seems like more than half of the games are just gone.

Only new items on clearance were 08 sports games and Stranglehold.

No Kmart merch cannot be returned to Sears.

And the Land's End example is a terrible one, as Land's End was wholly-owned by Sears before the KMart merger.

Well I see 2 options, call and ask or try to do a return. That way you can find out for yourself and you can report back later so that you are contributing to CAG.

Thanks, that was what I was hoping, but you never know. I was out by the Sears I originally bought it from a few days ago unexpectedly so I didn't have the charger with me to return.

I've checked this store many times with no luck so glad to see some new untagged stock hitting the bin here. There's still quite a few titles left that looked tempting if you are in the area but Blue Dragon still scanned 19.97. The scanner is working on the second floor by the register closest to the mall entrance. No signs of employees in electronics or appliances strangely enough...probably out smoking or something.

Anybody know how much ratchet and clank ps3 is ringing up at Sears for? I found a sears with 2 copies hidden in a mess of games behind the glass and there was nobody around to open it for me and I was in a hurry.

I don't know what Hollister accepts as a return. It doesn't matter. It has no bearing on this thread whatsoever. If you wish to continue this discussion pm me. I'd rather not clutter the thread with this kind of rubbish.

I had an employee scan it on Monday and it came up 29.99.
 
I went to an out of the way sears today and I found a whole bunch of old clearance stuff, but most was marked up in the system. For example those Nyko Gamecube memory cards were 9.99. I am pretty sure they were clearanced out for 1.97 or less many moons ago.

On the plus side I did pick up a copy of Diner Dash DS for 4.97 completely unmarked.

I'm from around that area and both those are long gone. At least at the 4 sears around me.
 
I found a Sears that had 2 120GB HDD but tagged $149. I asked her to get it and scan it and she couldn't get it to scan so she said it's $149.....arghhh

Should have purchased and price-adjusted at another store (if you have another one near you). Or at least purchased, and taken to a self-scanner.

And you left after she couldn't get it to scan? I would've clutched that thing like my life depended on it and asked if there was someone else in electronics who could help me, since I think they CAN enter in the UPC number manually to price check stuff.

But chances are she was either 1) lazy or 2)new and inexperienced or maybe 3) knew it would come up uber cheap and is waiting for the 90% drop price and fumbled intentionally.

You never really can discount #3, even though it's usually 1 or 2. But once you alert clerks who might be gamers or looking for a way to make some money on the side(besides their jobs @ Sears), then you can kiss your goldmine stores goodbye.

I've had that happen more than a couple of times personally.
 
Just picked up the last 120 GB HDD at my local Sears yesterday @ $49.97. The guy said that someone else had just called about it and was on their way to pick it up too. :)

The transfer cable doesn't seem to work though. Should it work going from 60 GB -> 120 GB? Maybe I have an old one because the manual and disc only reference going from 20 -> 120.
 
Checked 2 Sears today, King of Prussia Mall and Granite Run Mall in PA. Neither of them had 120gb 360 hard drives or Heavenly Sword. Seeing deals on CAG gets my hopes so high, and I rarely ever score anything big. But I still love you, CAG.
 
Out of everything, only Viking and the HDD were dropped at my store. I couldn't find them, though. I hope that they have at least one of them in stock somewhere.
 
What's the story with Sears and older markdowns, anyway? I found a couple of :360: FEARs at a local store, and I seemed to remember them getting marked down to $5. They both rang up at $30. Blue Dragon too, that rang up at $20. Does the price get reset, or something? :D
 
I am going back tomorrow and if both are gone I knew I was had but she did not look like a gamer. She had to be at least 55 years old not that she couldnt be but not likely. The weird thing was she tried entering the number on the price sticker and that didnt work either.

Yeah. I got a kick outta the fact that the drive is still $50, when the format has been dead and buried for over a year now.

That'll be there until someone either A)finally updates prices and it drops to $4.97 FINALLY or B) the PS4 and Xbox 720 come out and are 2-3 years into their respective runs.
 
It could be one of those items that never drops. I scanned a ton of game UPC's today that are supposed to be $1.97 - $4.97. All came up full price. Motorstorm $29.99 for example.

What I hate is how Sears employees insist prices are the same at all Sears stores when they clearly are not.
 
I love that too, then you pick out an item and they're like 'it's this price' and then they scan it and BAM, it's on clearance for really, really cheap.

The look on their smug faces is just so funny. I really wish I had a cell phone with a camera on it to capture that moment.

One of them jokingly says, "if it rings up for $5 I am quitting". Then of course it rings up for $4.97.

But at other stores, I always am told the sticker price is the correct price, I don't ask for price checks anymore. I act like I want to buy it and when the rare time happens where it rings up for too much I say I changed my mind

Transformers also rings up at $30. For PS3, at least.

I haven't had to do that yet. At my "good" Sears (which disappointed me a poor selection for once!), there's a price scanner in the Appliances section right next to the games. My local Sears has those employees that just stand there and stare at you all day. I have to carry over my items to the scanner in the Tools section while being stared down every time. This one lady with poofy hair is especially creepy.

You are going to have to call up MS and ask for the NEW transfer cable software.

The software initially included with the 120GB HDD(the Sears stock HDD stock is undoubtedly from the first release :lol: ) only allowed 20GB->120GB tranfers, as those were the only HDD sizes available at the time.

I used to work there, and I've seen prices go back up to MSRP after being on clearance for quite sometime. Usually they get taken off of the floor to be returned to the vendor after a certain amount of time on clearance, but once in a while it will just go back up. I haven't a clue as to why.
 
found a mislabeled fallout3 out on the floor listed at $20... they wouldnt sell it to me though as the manager told me that price was for the expansion and not the actual game.... the game scanned at 60.. oh well.. didnt wanna push it since the goty is due to come n prob a million times better to wait to find a deal on that

i did nab bourne and proving ground! 8 bucks well spent
 
I will be heading to Sears tomorrow (unless something changes, but my plans are as of now to be heading there) and I'm hoping to go to a Sears that I have not checked for deals at yet. I have my fingers crossed I might get lucky, I've only been there once and just scanned through the games real quick as I normally do, I didn't see any games marked down and I'm hoping they don't mark them and not that they were all gone, but I didn't look too closely (I wasn't a CAG at that point in time, plus it was like 100 degrees in that store and I just wanted to get back to my car and blast the air :cold: )

I will report any findings when I get back!

If you want Fallout 3, it's $29.99 used for the PS3 at Blockbuster now and they normally try to give you a real PS3 case and everything with their used games anymore.
 
For any NE Ohio CAGs, the Niles, OH(Eastwood Mall) Sears had a Rock Band 1 SE for PS3 for $50.

They also had a few RB2 SE kits for 360 and Wii for $100.
 
Hit Sears in Peabody, MA and helped myself to an extra copy of both :360: Quake 4 and :360: Ninja Gaiden II for trade bait. There was one extra Quake 4 and three more Ninja Gaidens, as well as two $20 Eye of Judgement PS3 bundles (didn't want that one). The clerk was gabby and asked me about the cheap games, so you might want to get over there quick!! :D
 
I picked up the only two Dance Dance Revolution Universe 3 for the Xbox 360 bundles at the Jackson, MI Sears today. $4.97 each!

I wouldn't mind trading one for DDR Universe 2 (new, game only) or DDR Hottest Party (1, not 2) bundle for the Wii (new) if anyone picked up extra for cheap.
 
Finally got back home and didn't make it to any Sear's today :roll: I decided not to go to the new Sear's because I am in the market for a new car and all the dealerships :wall: were the opposite way. I was planning to stop in my usual Sear's but ran out of time. I'm hoping to get to some Sear's tomorrow and will post if I find anything.
 
Went to the Sears near my college (UCSB) and finally found a 360 120 hdd. Theres one left if anyone is in that area. Guy automatically knew it was 50 bucks and asked me if I wanted it to sell on ebay haha.
 
Visited the same sears I went to last weekend today and found six additional (new)games that were not on the floor last week. That's awesome that they restock from the back on at least a weekly basis. Nothing terrbily exciting, though. A couple of ds games, tony hawk project 8 ps2 for 2 bucks and blacksite area 360 for 5 bucks.
 
Picked up DDR 3 for 4.97 and Civ Rev for 360 for 4.97. Am looking to trade the Civ Rev for a PS3 version of the game. PM me if you are interested. Scanned Blacksite Area 51, Americas Army, and Condemned 2 all for 360. All rang up 4.97 but decided not to buy it. Maybe when they are like .97-2.97 each then I'll get em. My store has really dried up of PS3 games. Also scanned Zelda TP for Wii but rang up full price. Are there any good games for PS2 on clearance for cheap?? I saw a ton that I wanted to play but didnt get a chance to play. Titles like GOW and Shadow of The Collosus.
