Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Thanks for the tips on the clothes. Hopefully the men's clothing is similarly cheap as I'd be interested to see what they're selling

Hate that in most Sears, they barely even have a gaming section. Everything is picked over, half of it is mispriced (not to our benefit though) and it rarely gets restocked.

last year some sears have actually stopped carrying games completely.

they are but have been at this price for a long time, meaning they can have been zeroed out of your store by now or have been all bought up (more likely)

I just joined this website this month, lol. This is my first time looking for deals on this website. Do you know any good deals on my wishlist, though? I'm not really looking for games over $20 and if the games are priced at $19.99 or so, I'm looking more at cheaper games (unless the game is decent enough for that price).
 
Gainesville, FL. The clearance cart was a mess, like someone had gone through the games after eating an Angry Tendercrisp from BK across the street. Found :ps3: NBA Ballers: Chosen One for $1.97, saw numerous games at $59.99 with AUG clearance stickers on them for both PS3/360... pre-labeling future drops?

The Sears nearest me stopped selling games years ago (back in gameboy advance era), so I never knew they had games again because of how rarely I went in there afterwards.

In San Diego the El cajon and La Mesa Sears have nada, nothing, bubkiss.
I want a 120 hd for $50. this is my dream. LOL
 
Picked up the Guitar Hero Aerosmith Bundle that just magically appeared at the Sears that I've been to plenty of times. I was wondering where it came from.
 
When I got the Aerosmith bundle I got, I had to ask them if they had any in the back, and they had several different GH bundles back there. I only picked up a GH:A bundle for X360 and PS3 though.

Yeah. I didn't have much hope of finding an Aerosmith bundle until I came across a very nice, helpful Sears employee in Electronics who is a fellow gamer.

She told me about the Rolling Acres Sears in Akron, OH that she said nobody ever shops at. She said she used to work there and quit because of the lack of traffic when the mall died.(there are 2-3 stores left in the mall, and that is it)

I went over there and found that stuff and was very happy.

I describe the place as looking like the ghost town near Chernobyl.
 
New markdowns go In effect Friday. Eye of judgment will be $9.97. Only other things left in my store (hoarder raped us) I plan on purchasing the only ones remaining so I'll hold off on posting until after I buy them.

Great! I've been waiting for EoJ to drop down further after I stupidly passed on the rare $14.xx at a distant Sears I found a month ago.

I moved to a different state last month and most of the Sears stores here in 'bama are small franchise stores. I miss California already.
 
^^yes they clearance out hardware but not often. Last year gamecube systems were $19.97 and 360 core systems were $209.97 a few years ago (they might have gone lower than that but sold out at that price near me)

I'm on vacation, and finally tracked down a :360: 120gb hdd for $49.99 at the local Sears. Now, I see there is a price drop on Friday (and I will still be here then). If this drops further, what is the best course of action to get it for the reduced price? Will they price match the new price? Will I have to return/rebuy? Appreciate any helpful hints in this.

It's worth the $50 to me, but it would rock even harder if I got it for less than that, you know?

Return/rebuy. Scan your item at a self-scanner first, just to make sure the price dropped.

Shoot. I know I need to go to upcdatabase.com to print the upc, but how can I find the UPC number? It involves getting the asin from Amazon and then where do it put that? I tried using "Find it at a target store" but the PSP I'm looking for isn't clickable on the site. Thanks in advance for any help!

Cheeky. Go to buy.com or half.com. Search your product and then select it, it will give you a UPC # somewhere on the item page. Be aware that buy.com has an extra 0 at the beginning of every UPC # though.

Try googling it. If you try something like "sony psp 3000 upc" something should come up and give you the correct UPC code that you can look up on upcdatabase.

Can you tease us if there are any NEW titles going on clearance, or is it basically all the existing clearance games dropping by a few more bucks?

Eating on the job? Is that even allowed? I guess she wasn't expecting to see any customers. Every time I go to the Sears near me I'm the only person in the electronics dept.

Yeah, that is the same with my Sear's. Almost every time I go there I'm the only one, once and a while a couple of kids will come running through to look for games, but this is usually after school lets out. The other day when I went to Sear's they had no lights on in the electronics and the TVs were on a black screen (I suppose in between videos or something) so it was like a haunted house. What's funny, the one time I see a couple other people in there there were two people buying TVs, one just bought two TVs with wall mounts and the others were just deciding between a $3000 and a higher priced TV. I bet the employees were pleased to finally see some customers buying things (aside from me and my $3 games :D )

I wish! I tried some of the more logical ones. No new PS2 games in my store are going down, this includes:
MGS: Essentials (Which I want just for the new packaging how sad is that? I already own MGS1, VR Missions, MGS:Integral (import obviously), MGS2, Substance, MGS3, Subsistence: LE, Subsistence, MGS4: LE, MGS4 reg, and boxed MG1 for NES and MGS for GB, and MGSPO and MGSPO+.),

Persona 3: FES (check the regular one please! Someone bought the last regular one we had left and I want a NIB for my collection.)

Bad Company, Mercenaries 2, Diner Dash are all going OOS at my store. YMMV whether they go out of stock at yours. Currently $4.97 a piece at mine.
 
That's a shame, there are so many old PS2 games that seem like they should have gone on clearance a long time ago.

It's also strange about the YMMV of all of this. Diner Dash has been reported to be $1.97 and $4.97 and 1 store I went to last week had it for $19.99 (along with other clearance games at full price) and then on top of that it being YMMV about being in the system or not at different stores? I really wish prices would be the same at all stores.

I also found it funny at another Sears they had some PS3 Intercooler with a tag saying Zero Value RTV and it was locked up in the case so it's not like it went unnoticed. It also seems YMMV on whether an out of system item can be sold. About half the time they say no, the other time they either enter the sticker price or enter some low price like $4.97 if the tag is old or it is untagged.

Thats why video games are a tricky "stock" to work with!
