Official Sears Clearance Thread II - post Sears finds/deals here

I can't say I am that surprised. Most of the time when I go to Sears (multiple locations) there are hardly any customers.
2.99 clearance clothes this week for Men's and Women's. I have no idea if this applies to kids clothing. I just got a bunch of stuff for myself though. The sale is valid for green tags on the clothing, even the higher priced green tags will ring up as 2.99.
Does it have to be manually adjusted? I scanned some clothes with green tags tagged more than $2.99 and they scanned for whatever it was tagged for.

I picked a fancy looking PSP travel case for 4.97. It was marked Sep, but since it looked nice, I grabbed it anyways.

maybe sears wouldn't be in so much trouble if they didn't price stuff like they price their games... it really has no ryme or reason. They leave stuff at full MSRP forever, ignore all other sales and pricedrops then clearance stuff out at seemingly random

It's been clear that Sears/Kmart have been circling the drain for years. We are just picking off pieces of the turd before it's completely flushed.

In the Women's department at my Sears everything was ringing up as it should and the higher priced green tags were ringing up as 2.99. So it should ring up, but as long as the sign is there stating 2.99 clothes you should be able to get it manually adjusted at the register.

I am not surprised that Sears is in trouble, I was looking at TV's and they have TV's on display but they don't actually have the one you want in stock, they actually have very few in stock, if its not in stock they have to order it and it takes 7-15 days or something to come in. If a TV is on display in a store I expect it to be in stock unless they have an out of stock sign on it rather than waiting 20-30 min for an employee to find out my desired item is out of stock. Perhaps I am just asking too much of retail stores but I really don't think that is unreasonable. I really don't think its too much to ask for them to have an ad item in stock on Sunday, the day the ad is issued. For the record I ended up ordering my TV from Amazon. I have seen more than one disappointed customer in the last week because the TV they wanted was not in stock.

Kmart has gone so downhill here, there are many items in Kmart that are double the cost of Walmart and Target for the same exact item on everyday items. The store is dirty and is not stocked properly and they keep old groceries on the shelf because no one is going to pay double the price of Walmart and Target for food items. They used to be competitive but now Kmart's prices are so high they are just dead retail weight here. I know its bad for a retail store to close because it puts people out of jobs but Kmart is such a crappy store that I wouldn't blink if it closed. Sears prices are mostly MSRP for electronics or below if the item is on clearance, I have gotten some REALLY good deals at Sears so I would be very sad to see them go but I have no sympathy for Kmart because they are extremely overpriced and yes I know they are the same company.

The only departments here that get any activity are kids clothes and maybe tools, no one comes to Sears to buy electronics and video games, but some people do buy TV's there because your only choices for TV's here are Sears, Walmart or Target unless you want to travel farther out for one.

Once again, sorry for the double post but I got Endless Ocean blue world Wii Speak bundle for 14.97. This game is getting hard to find and for the price it was a very good deal.

Gamestop sells a used stand alone copy for 19.99 (Endless Ocean Blue World) so I assumed getting a brand new bundle for 14.97 was a good deal. I have also noticed that prices on ebay are hovering around the $30 mark for a copy of this game, or at least they were at one point.

Its also a very good game, I played it before, its long and involved unlike most other Wii games. You probably won't use the Wii speak but regardless its included. I think you could get 60 hours out of this if you want to complete everything, or at least I could.

You might be seeing the first Endless Ocean in the bargain bins, there are 2 endless ocean's and they both look identical when searching through piles of games, though the first is not a bundle. I haven't played the first one but I think its far more common and possibly not as good, again I can't comment since I haven't played it.

The is the type of game that makes a Wii worth owning, its one of the best on the system IMO.

You're probably right about the version I'm seeing, as I don't remember ever seeing it as a bundle. In fact, now that I compare the different covers, I'm fairly certain it was just the first game. Oh well, I might still pick it up at some point anyway. It looks very similar to Treasures of the Deep (which I thought was pretty neat) but with more to do.

Worth picking up at $15 or so but I probably wouldn't buy it at $30, even though it is a long game. Nintendo just always seems to stop printing certain games at some point, look at Princess peach for the DS and Tetris DS so I didn't want to miss this one.

Also you get 60 club NIntendo coins when you register this, plus another 10 after you take the survey a week or 2 later, this is more than the 50 you get from registering each regular Wii game.

I had two copies of TOTD and I never finished it. I really wish they'd make a game like that for the PS3 already.

I forgot to mention that I saw an ilive ipod doc with wireless speakers for $40 last week. Normal price is $150. The tag on the shelf said GPX though.
No new drops at my Sears today. Maybe next Friday. I can never remember which Friday has drops.
I havent found any new drops in months here, after finding some good ones this summer.Don't know what the deal is.

I went today and I didn't see any new drops, I will check again next week but the stores are getting more traffic now so I doubt the good stuff will last through this Xmas.

I did notice one thing on sale that wasn't before:

Xbox 360 250GB Slim drive was clearance for $119 regular $129.99 I am guessing they are making room for the 320GB drives that are going to be coming out.

Not a lot of drops at my local Sears. Did buy a couple toys though since all non-clearance toys were 30% off. Huzzah Legos.

Scanned a range of things Friday and DID FIND ONE DROP:

360 EA Active 2 19.97 was 24.97 (according to the October sticker)

Everything else scanned the same as previous price:
360 Saw
PS3 White Knight Chronicles
DS Imagine Resort Owner
DS Myst
DS Star Wars Elite Forces Battleground something something darkside. . . whatever

Picked up Prince of Persia 360 for $5 and a camera case for $3. They came out free since I got some free gift cards from that price error Kmart had a couple of weeks ago. They had a copy of Kirby something for DS for $8 but I'm a CAG and I am going to try and get it for $5:cool:
Sears in Capitola Ca in case anyone cares. There wasn't anything else worth it IMO.
Found a Dualshock 3 control and Wii Classic Controller today. Paid $25+tax for the two. Not bad for a Sears in a mall :D
I had to search, and see if anyone was able to find a DualShock 3. I guess I'll have to check this thread more often.

Being a Buffalo cag you should know to scan odd titles. Most of the Sears around here dont sticker everything. I found a few things that were mismarked at Blvd and Niagara Falls sears. Although I cant say if they were new drops.

Hopefully next Friday we see something

There were drops this past Friday. The ones I've noticed (thanks to google shopping) are that ipod nanos dropped from 99.97 to 89.97 and that ilive system dropped from 39.97 to 29.97.

Not sure if that negates a possible drop next friday...

I cant remember seeing more than one drop day a month. I used to use google shopping like a champ for locating and pricing items at sears, but now nothing comes up even stuff that worked fine two months ago. ..

I thought it was just me. I had some links saved for certain items from Google Shopping and now they only bring up online sites offering the products and for much higher prices.

The Blvd. Mall Sears is killer, I have bought so many things there. I am surprised we haven't run into each other... I do scan titles when I am interested in buying them but they usually ring up the correct price, at least for me.

Galleria Mall and Eastern Hills mall is where I have seen a ton of mismarked stuff. Both of those Sears can be really good.

I'm working out at the Lafayette, IN sears now and usually keep up on tagging games and the like out there. I had some tags print out earlier this week for sonic and the black night, bayonetta (both consoles), and a few other games yet the prices weren't updated in the registers.

I'll keep my eyes peeled and let you know if I get any awesome deals going.

Checked out my local Sears and found a Wii Nunchuck for $4.97. It was marked as a DSiXL Travel Case so I didn't think the price was correct, but then I scanned it and the price checker said $4.97. Pretty good deal! The nunchuck was the kind in a blister pack, which was the original packaging. The newer ones in the cardboard boxes weren't marked as clearance.

Most of the November drops that I saw were PS2 games and the larger bundles like Tony Hawk Shred, Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock, DJ Hero 2, etc. Makes sense that they would hold off on drops until after the holidays.

Any idea what DJ Hero 2 dropped to? I ask because one of my Sears stores here had one each for 360 and PS3 and I didn't really feel like dragging the bundle box to the scanner.

I was also looking at a Samsung DVD recorder/VCR thing that was on the clearance shelf. But it had no price tag on it and I was unsure if it'd even work as a normal VCR/DVD player combo. Mine burnt out a couple of years ago and I'd like to watch a couple of my old VHS tapes.

If I recall correctly, $34.99, but I don't know if that's right.

This months price drops have been rather good to me. Picked up a 3D bluray player for just over $30, a pspgo for $99.97 plus tax, rapid charger for rechargeable batteries for just over $9, a few assorted ipod/radio small stereos within the $8-$10 range, and many cheap $2-$4 wii and nds games to give out to my nieces and nephews over the holiday season.

I checked a few things on google shopping and those prices haven't changed, it is usually a day or two behind though.

Good luck to everyone checking instore.
The last good thing I found at Sears was SOCOM: Con w/ headset for $16 and that was many months ago.

I hope some good drops happen soon.
That was the next to last thing I found cheap at Sears, but that was outta state, since just about everything is marked properly at my local Sears now and it all got bought up.:bomb:

The last thing I picked up was Smackdown Vs. Raw 2010 for $5-6 from the local store with the end of the gift card that SHC-Gamer sent me for my original copy of SDvR2010 that I bought while outta town that was missing the disc.:whistle2:#
