True, but Target's selection has been limited. I don't have many Trap Masters, but there were only 5 I didn't have when those went on clearance ... and half of those were gone before the B1G1 50% off started.

My local Target stores have nothing but Head Rush lining the shelves ... compliments all of the water traps nicely!
 
Is it normal for GameStop to ship items separately?  Two of the three trap masters that I ordered just ship, while the other one hasn't.  Edit:  just checked the website and the trapmaster that I ordered now says check stores for pickup, while last night I was able to add it to my cart.

Received an order of skylanders from Amazon when they were super cheap. They sent me a Bronze Tomb Buggy. I've never even heard of that variant.

In my limited experience yes, and it annoys the heck out of me. Now the gs fun begins:

it might ship, it might not ship,

you might be charged two separate charges for each shipment that might equal the amount you agreed to pay, or it might be more than what you had paid at time of checkout,

you might get a cancellation email, or in a few weeks you might have it arrive at your door step after giving up hope on getting it.

My advice would be to watch your cc statement carefully until you know what the outcome is.

Please dont think me a gs hater troll, or a fanboy for that matter, I just loathe the way gs does their shipping/billing, but I know what Im getting into when I order from them now, unlike when I ordered about 20 ps2 games during the sale, and got nearly 20 different packages delivered at all different times, with pending charges of all ridiculously incorrect amounts, that eventually had to be smoothed by contacting gs cs via phone and email.

yes, they added a section for playmation and took away from skylanders in their latest update. the store i go to has a 4 foot section down one aisle for every single toys to life. well, lego dimensions might still have 2 four foot sections but everyone else is down to 1.

Probably eBay. I found a Chase Patina Shield Striker last week - no idea it existed. I may eventually sell it, just hate going to USPS.

 
I might go up on eBay but I don't usually sell there. A local store offered me 40 but I think I can do better than that. Maybe trade a couple newer games with someone local for it at least.

 
Nice deal on new/sealed Skylanders - Eon's Elite Figures (fulfilled & shipped by Amazon.com) which retail for $20.00 in most stores. Figures are of better paint quality and come with a collectors case/lithographic background. Most of you probably already know that the elite figures can be leveled up to a higher tier than regular Skylanders figures (which somewhat lessens the challenge but is nice for boss battles with the kiddies).

Wow. Just wow. Those Superchargers prices are crazy low. I feel ripped off now since I bought almost every figure and vehicle during various B1G1 sales. I didn't think they'd get any lower than the Target 50% off 50% off sale, and the selection then was crap.

 
AWD pricing finally caught up with Amazon pricing, so I picked up a Wii U Dark Edition + Stealth Elf for 20.94. Lots of deals now though

 
Amazon Warehouse Deals. Amazon selling used stuff essentially. Some of these figures while ~$5 new were $12 used, or damaged packaging. The game I mentioned was $25 new and $50+ used. Now the used price is more in line with the new price on pretty much all the Skylanders things

They sent me the regular Dark Edition without Stealth Elf. I contacted Amazon costumer service to ask for replacement (when I received it, Amazon Warehouse didn't have anymore to order), the CSR replied they couldn't replace it because it's from "third party" seller,.. (what?).. but they can give me a 40% refund so I keep the product (what? how you can give a big refund for a third party seller?)

And of course I jumped for that offer.. for $9 I can get the Dark Stealth Elf and more.

 
I had dropped out after Swap Force, but kinda got the bug a little bit again when I got both Superchargers and Trap Team for $20 at BB. 

So a question, if I want to fill out my trap master set (I hate doors I can't get in) what's the cheapest way to do that now? I just want them for gameplay purposes, and don't care about rarity or whatnot. Is it through Gamestop and the $8 each trap masters? Or should I hunt Ebay for a lot? I have Air and Water covered right now. 

**EDIT** Though I may go to BB to price match them there rather than get through GS. That way I get points and there's a BB right by my house.

Check Target for trap masters. They have been $7.48 on clearance at every Target I've been to lately and some had huge selections.
 
The Target that I live down the road from (Hazel Dell district of Vancouver) had Head Rush (standard, not the Target-exclusive Nitro version) & Tuff Luck for $3.74 each!

This is pretty much what I am seeing as well. I did find a Target that had Lob Star on clearance a couple weeks ago and they still had an assortment of traps (probably due to the fact that this location charges 10.25% sales tax), but many of the characters vanished quickly after the clearance started.

 
Question - I bought the XB1 SC Dark Edition Starter Pack. Does it come with codes for the characters & vehicles? I can't seem to find them - Thanks

Superchargers did away with the codes. I never saw an official announcement but none of the figures or vehicles I've picked up have had codes packed in...

I only saw their web site said code is no longer needed to play online games. I'm not sure other than that if there is anything else require the codes.

Battlegrounds and Sky Patrol stopped being updated in the Swap Force time frame. Lost Islands hasn't been updated since May of last year when they basically dumped almost everything on the shop for gems. Universe was shut down a couple years back. Those games are dead, and they were the only use for Web Codes. Battlecast uses other cards and Activision wants to sell those separately, but they give you one small pack of them in the Starter. Figures only come with stickers now, no card - which kind of sucks, the character cards were pretty nice.

 
Are they ever going to release Thrillipedes Buzz Wing vehicle?  That and a cheap land racing pack and I'll be done with Superchargers.

All I need is Roller Brawl and Tomb Buggy pack. Unfortunately, the only time it has ever been on sale was the GS Skylanders Day the beginning of last month, which I couldn't make, and now it looks like that was the last time they'll ever do it.

A little caveat here, the May date (5/13 actually) is only known for amazon.it. Activision is notorious for not giving solid dates for relases on figures in the US. There are some feelings that due to the fact that many retailers are putting Skylanders on clearance, it may not release here. Probably "chicken little" thinking, but last year the Yawn traps did not release in the US due to the fact that retailers weren't ordering more traps - stores were swamped with Life and Water traps and did not want more. The thought is that since stores are practically giving away Skylanders on clearance, the idea that they would order more is questionable (even new ones) - especially if the case assortment includes other figures (since they aren't selling).

Many collectors have placed orders on amazon.it to try and ensure they can finish the collection for the year. I feel pretty confident that they will come out at least at TRU, but who knows when. They could even hold it back until the next game comes out like they did for Lightcore Hex in the US.

Not to mention Skylanders was still red hot when Swap Force came out.

People can debate Skylanders vs. Infinity vs. Dimensions till the cows come home, but Activision's marketing and release strategy quite frankly blows. They are still operating like they are the only game in town with hoards of people waiting for new shipments to hit the stores. Now it is just some long term collectors trying to finish things out. Lack of information is a big problem for Skylanders.

 
I'm glad I waited to order this. I was waiting to get the Sea Racing Pack for around $10 and this is a better deal. I guess it makes up for paying $18 for the Sky Racing Pack when it later dropped to $9

X1 Superchargers starter is sub $20 on Amazon too, worth it? My daughter and I have barely touched Trap Team.
