Edit by Io - The most recent (1/26) drops are in the very beginning of the second post, so look there first!

------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT -- Feb 4th
Things have changed drastically since I started this thread and I've gone from a quality control monitoring job with other duties thrown in to monitoring double the amount plus the work of others. Bascially, I now do the job of three comparing the company now to that of a year ago thanks to layoffs and not hiring to replce people leaving. Plus I generally work 6 days a week and often ten hours with no break. I'd quit, but I have a hunch that our department will be hubbed in another city around July and I might as well hang in for the layoff package. Basically, this means I have zero time for internet and thread managing the way it should be done. My trade list and pm box fall by the wayside and I hardly email or even check my facebook/myspace. I didn't even find time to manage my fantasy football team and will completely forego baseball.

I know IO is busy enough as it is with a couple of threads, but if anyone wants to take over this thread and start a new one, please do so. Of course, I should have all the time in the world to keep it up to date if you want to wait unitl around July.

I got tired of going to TRU for the most recent clearance drops only to find more here on CAG from one of the three threads after I got back from the store. So I've compiled a list from the posts of Starving Gamer, Benboxer, life.exe, cmosfm, Kevzik's pics of lists at his store, the lists I saw at local TRUs and the many posts of awesome CAGs in those threads. I am by no means associated with TRU and I don't have inside information on upcoming drops, but I wanted to post a consolidated list to help other CAGs. As new drops occur Benboxer, Starving Gamer and anyone else is welcome to post new lists here and/or in seperate threads for more attention for the new items and I'll update the OP for total lists. Please keep in mind that some of these games are YMMV on price and as with all ongoing clearances availability is always YMMV as well. Most 9.90, 5.00 and 3.00 games are from the recent drop of a couple weeks ago. Thanks again for everyone's contributions and especially those early lists. I wanted to get this up and running and will do some tidying to the list as necessary. I'm not familiar with every game on the list so feel free to post or pm inconsistencies in titles!

NEW PLEASE READ SEE POST #2 FOR LATEST DROPS
A few things about pricing. All of the last round of drops are 9.90, 5.00, or 3.00. A lot of the 9.90 games were 19.98 before, most of the 5.00 were 9.98 and most of the 3.00 were 5.00. So if you see a game that is 19.98, chances are it may drop to 9.90 next drop which will probably be in a few months. As with any clearance a lot of these games may have been sold out at your store before they were even clearanced and now that the latest drop has been at least a month those games may be hard to find now, too. I do still see several 19.98 some 9.90 and some 5 & 3 games in this area. Don't forget to check the glass case and you can ask if a game is in back as sometimes this is the case.

Don't forget to post your trade wishes and wants in the Official TRU Trading Thread: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121672

READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CHECKING THE LIST
Games in blue are from the latest drop, most of which were on clearance already at higher price points.
Games in green are VERY RARE games from the latest drop that were originally shipped to stores in VERY LIMITED quantities when the game was released and only a very few CAGs have found these.
Games in Yellow are have been widely reported as YMMV as pertains to price point.
Games in Orange are new reports that are awaiting confirmation

one my toysrus got ran through early so crappy games are left, so i took a road trip to another one today and got the last copy of god of war for $7.92! they also had a boat load of gran turismo4's on clearance. I was really lookin for shadow of colossus or final fantasy 12 which they didnt have : (

man, you guys are getting all the good deals on the games. all my local trus have all the games at normal prices. i bring up all the games that i want to the register and usually bring them back b/c they all ring up at regular price.

Picked up a copy of Elder Scrolls 4: CE for ~8 today after the % off. Surprised they actually had a copy in the back - it was just a display box out and I assumed it was just mislabeled and was the GOTY edition or something.
I haven't been following this thread too closely simply because my TRU has had next to nothing clearance-wise for months. I can remember years ago sifting through bins of 9.98 and 4.98 PS2, GC and Xbox games. Now just 12 copies of Aeon Flux and that's it. I almost tried to convince myself I had a use for VGA cables just because they were a great price.

Anyone else experiencing this void of clearance deals at TRU?
My TRU will only really have a few games marked down on clearance worth playing at best at any given time now while the place used to be flooded with all sorts of good games cheap back around 2004~2005. I think TRU is not carrying as many copies of some of the fairly popular games at lower traffic stores hence the reason that more and more games ain't so plentiful when they decide to clearance them.
Also, with people becoming more active on ebay and other such sites, hoarding has increased more than ever.
I don't think it's hoarding in most cases it's probably just that the good stuff they put on clearance is long gone at a lot of stores much like a lot of the good games that barely anyone found during the Best Buy clearance last winter.

My local TRU(NJ) has about 20 copies of FF XII,10 copies of Gran Turismo 4,3 copies of Suikoden Tactics, a bunch of GBA video, Niko Charge Station 360,Faceplate,Ice Age II XBox...I bought Beatmania Bundle Pack, 2x VGA Xbox 360 cable, 1xFF XII for $7.98/each.

While I do think hoarding has increased, I think a lot of not being able to find anything is also how the store is set-up. I realized it last night with my local TRU that's in the middle of nowhere... there's rarely anything good on clearance, game-wise.

It's still the 'pull the slip and take it to the register' deal, so clearance is one of two things, it's either CLEARLY marked on the slips, making them easy to identify, or they put it in a plastic case and put them out on a rack around hip level. Basically, there's never really a chance that anything 'falls through the cracks', so to speak. Unless there's some crazy-ass clearance hoard in the security booth, it's a ghost town for clearance.

I don't know, just random thoughts. It's why I don't really get excited about TRU clearance unless it's accessory related, which I've ALWAYS been able to get. With games, they're either clearly marked so they go faster, or I'm up against one hell of a CAG.

I think Tokobot Plus for ps2 finally got a drop. I got mine for 4...20% only sadly. Mine had some decent stuff, but metal slug anthology was no where to be seen, and that's the main one I wanted.

I recently bought the PSP Extended battery at Toys R Us for $20 but the first thing I notice is there is no cover included in the packaging for the battery. I have a slim so this can be a problem. Anyone know if local retailers sell the covers or should I just get it online.

Got a 360 wireless headset and Playgear Pocket I'd purchased a few weeks back price-adjusted, to $24 and $4, respectively. Yay! Thanks for the heads-up, OP. :)

Also, my TRU has a metric buttload of stamina batteries.

Most of the stamina batteries have been in stores since before the new slim PSP's were released. That's why they don't have the extra cover for the slim. I have seen some new ones that do say slim on the packaging so I would assume those do carry the extra cover.
I want to say thanks. I picked up one of those 1019 block GC mem cards for around $8.50. I don't play much on the GC, but it is nice to have one of the good cards. I've been stuck on one of those cheap third party ones.

It's too bad there really isn't much else at my TRU on clearance.
Couldn't find it at my nearest TRU, so I drove down to the BIG TRU and found the 1019. My nearest TRU only had Zelda and Platinum Controllers for Gamecube so I was happy.

On most boards I'm usually the only Cedar Rapids, Iowa person searching for these deals, but just in case: Don't bother going to the Cedar Rapids Toys R Us. Absolutely nothing of interest. :(

That is correct. All of the stamina batteries you find on clearance at various stores are the "old" packaging made for the PSP phat systems. The newer ones that come in the "kit" include the battery, the silver battery cover, and the black battery cover.

TRU website is showing the 120 GB HD for Xbox 360 on clearance for $149.98. I didn't see it listed in this thread, so I thought I'd mention it.

Prices listed in this thread are B&M, not online, which almost never match each others prices.

Thanks for the heads up, though.

picked up table tennis (360) for $4 yesterday. i wish they had some of the other games that i was looking for, but at least i got something

When to Maplewood, MN TRU (the only one left in the area) and didn't find shit. They hardly a good stock of ANY game including new releases. Felt like I wasted a 80+ mile trip just to find they had NOTHING on the list.

Hit toys r us monroe today and bought GRAW. Also i noticed that Condemned was marked $14.98 instead of $19.98.

Lies...I got the 'Devil May Cry' Anniversary 3pack for $5 there 2 months back
I bought some games when they only had 20% off. Has anyone gotten them to refund you $10 bucks with the current promotion?
Yes. I did a return/rebuy. But I got $8 back instead, since they deduct the $10 first and then take 20% off.
Yes. I did a return/rebuy. But I got $8 back instead, since they deduct the $10 first and then take 20% off.
OK, thanks a lot, that's better than nothing. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

i bought some games on thursday but they were perfect dark zero collectors and yakuza. does those game works for the $10 off offer? plus they gave me 20% of for those purchase
Is the buy 2 $10+ & get $10 off DS/PSP/GBA extended for this week?
That's a good question. I assumed the thread title date included that deal but I could see how that could be wrong...

The date in the thread title is for the % off which supposedly will run to 5/10. The $10 off deal for ds/psp ended 5/3. The main game list is in the first post and as the top of the first post says the current deals and most recent list are listed in the second post.
Is the buy 2 $10+ & get $10 off DS/PSP/GBA extended for this week?
That's a big "NO" on that one!

I got Harvest Moon: Boy & Girl (PSP), Bleach (DS) and Picross (DS) today and I didn't get an extra $10 off. Last week's promotion is now over.
Is this clearance sale in-store only?
Yes, the TRU website is seperate from B&M stores in pricing and clearance stock.

That sucks. I should've paid more attention, I guess, but I thought that $10 off was only for PS2 and Xbox games.

Sorry for the bump, but I need to ask - does anyone know what the price for Karaoke Revolution American Idol (Microphone Bundle) is? My store has two of 'em but they're inside one of those plastic boxes, and the UPC is unreadable by the machine.

Also, my store had six EyeToy bundles (the very first one) at $12 after discount, and two second version EyeToy bundles for $29.98 - but they had the red sticker, I dunno if that means they've got a discount or not.
Kitsune, look up the item @ half.com, get the UPC from there, then using that UPC look it up @ the UPC Database http://www.upcdatabase.com/itemform.asp

Print out the barcode and scan it @ the store. This is if no one can tell you the exact price here, of course :p
Or just ask an employee to check?

The clerks refuse to help me because they usually don't have the plastic key things to open those boxes... and there's only one clerk in the entire R-Zone area, so they can't just leave it alone.

I was hoping someone here would know, jeez. :(

How do they expect to sell it if it's locked in the box? :whistle2:#

Picked up the last dead rising and edf in norman, they still had about 4 blue dragons....

is enchanted arms worth picking up if you have blue dragon, eternal sonata, and lost odyssey in your backlog?

I only own Blue Dragon and Enchanted Arms, and I would say "no" unless you lower your expectations for Enchanted Arms. I fell asleep during the tutorial. Thank God my house didn't burn down with me leaving the 360 on all night...

I agree, I couldn't even get through the tutorial before I turned it off. I'm just glad I picked it up with flip credit.

Not sure if this is relevant, but I found a single copy of Baten Kaitos Origins at my local TRU for $15, with the 20% off it rang for $12 + tax.
