Official Trophy Thread - 4/21: Enhanced Trophy Lists Coming in Firmware 3.30

Just wrapped up Infamous 1, no platinum for me though.  Didn't want to bother with finding 350(!) shards or another whole playthrough to pick up the last few trophies.  Ended up with 83%.  Very good game.

I would say that the shards are easier than doing all the stunts. I really liked the game as well. The sequel was even better, IMO.

i dont/never will understand why anyone would platinum a game 3 times.
I do not see why not. If they enjoy the game that much, it is just a different form of replayability.

Just got my 162nd platinum last night from AC3. I liked that you could essentially turn the multiplayer stuff into single player except for one trophy. Even more interesting, it was more fun that the actual game. I will likely start a no alarm run through of Prison Break tonight to finish that one off.

I got 16 of the 21 stunts without realizing it, but still had 5 to go. I spent about 15 minutes trying to melee an airborne enemy to no avail. And since at the point I knew I wasn't gonna go for the platinum, I figured I wouldn't waste any more time on the stunts either. So there are 4 other stunts I don't even know what they are. So some of them were a pain in the ass huh?

At least I seem to remember that. The ones that gave me the most trouble seemed to be on the evil playthrough. I remember going to youtube to find a way for a couple of them. I want to say it was attach a sticky bomb to an enemy that is in the air. So you have to do the repulsion blast thing and then switch to the bomb and get it on them before they landed.

Bought Sound Shapes at launch and I'm still struggling on some of those Death Mode levels. One day i will pass them all but loved the game.
A few of those death mode levels require luck. If you do not get lucky with where the notes spawn, it can be impossible to beat. It took me a while but I stuck with it. Just decided to get the last couple of DLCs this morning to get to 100%.

I am part of a planned boosting group today at 2pm EST for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. If any of you guys want to be alternates in case we do not have the 6 people we need, send me a PSN message. We are going to go for XP to get to level 50. When you have 6 players you split in teams of 2. Then 1 from each group gets in a group of 3. You take turns stunning your pursuer to grind the XP the fastest.

I know some of the levels require luck. When I get close to beating one of those I always hit some part of red. I know I'll beat the Death Mode one day.

I actually just started AC: Brotherhood and when I saw how long the MP trophies will take, it stopped me trying to get platinum. I have so many games to play that I've come to the conclusion that I won't be able to platinum every game.

Congratulation GatorBeerGeek on your high completion rate of games. I think that is one of the higher ones I've seen.

It has actually been 2 years since I played AC:Brotherhood. I have already played and platinumed AC:Revelations and AC:3 since. I looked at the forums for Brotherhood and saw that there was now a method for boosting to level 50 in Brotherhood. Otherwise I would not bother going back. I like to try platinum everything I play, so I decided to go for it to be able to have all the platinums for the series.

Thanks for the compliment, but there are quite a few players with higher percentages than me. If I were not so cheap and could bring myself to pay the ridiculous prices for DLC, mine might be a bit higher. :)

Paying for DLC or not it's still impressive. I usually only platinum games I enjoy a lot. I'll usually play a game and beat it and then come back to it. My only problem with my PS3 and Vita backlog its hard to go back sometimes. I need to focus on just completing games all the way instead of going back. Speaking of which I got 85% in Alice Madness Returns and need to play through the game and get all the collectibles. That might be one I try to take care of this week.

Just started going for trophies not to long ago. I got three plats this past week. Really close to two more. Finally tackling the ps3 exclusives for the first time.

I spent a month trying to get the AC:B multiplayer achievements the hard way (aka no boosting/help/friends). Never again, although I did get pretty good at the mp by the end of it.

You sir are a better man than me. I never started because I knew I could not sit there and grind it out for a month. In about 8 hours yesterday I went from level 1 to a few thousand away from level 44. We hope to finish it up tonight.

Just a lot of late nights taking care of newborn twins. Seems odd that I'd put myself back to sleep with stealth ganking other people, but whatever. It's still my favorite iteration of the AC multiplayer, although AC3 had a couple nice ideas/environments and AC4 will at least have some fancy new graphic tricks (hopefully) on PS4.

Congrats on doing the MP legit. I looked at the list and thought about the backlog and decided I'm just playing it for the story.

I'm really close to finishing AC II, I guess I'll be collecting feathers before a level 50 MP fiasco.

I was one stunt away from platinuming the game. It still haunts me to this day.

Ugh, that awesome feel when I decide to go and try to platinum LittleBigPlanet (Mostly needed the create trophies), only to realize my save has vanished.

Wonder how long it'll take to blaze through the story levels.....I'm still pissed that I was less than a few maps from acing everything too.

Yeah, the data is saved in the game data rather than the save data so you can't back it up. I had to do the same with LBP2 to get all my stickers/decorations back.

I'm doing this myself actually, so feel free to look me up if you need a partner. I haven't finished story yet but it's going quicker than I remember from last time. create tutorials took a looooong time though.

Hated the entire game.  I guess I just didn't get it and should go back and give it one more shot.  But I really don't understand what I'm doing on that game.

I got the "survive 40 waves" trophy on Plants vs. Zombies on Vita on my first try so I'm stoked about that. Granted, I used some videos and tweaked the strategy so it wasn't completely on my own but I was dreading failing on this trophy as it took two and a half hours.

Getting one of every plant in PVZ is annoying. Especially since I didnt know you had to have them all at the same time. Thats the only trophy im missing for the plat.

Acing the levels on that game was far and away the worst part to me. Most of the levels were not bad until the very end. Was it the bunker level that had all the rotating wheels with the electric floor pieces. Serious rage trying to ace that one until I finally got it.

Just platted Saints Row 3, its been fun.
That was definitely in the top few games I have played on PS3 in terms of pure fun.

Need help on knytt. Where can i find the owl mask? found the yoga monster =)

My vita survives, Knytt Underground 100%. :whee:

Some of the jumps and challenges are brutal. Good game.

Got my 13th platinum from Lego Batman 2 for Vita.  Happy to get it but it's not one to brag about.  Glad to be done with the game.  It's a perfectly fine game, but as with all Lego games, it wears out it's welcome rather quickly.

I actually did that game just recently as well. Very easy 1 or 2 day plat.

Took me a couple weeks because I just couldn't play for more than 90 minutes or so at a time. Just got too bored.

It was very easy though. I thought the Justice League stuff might be a pain in the butt, but it wasn't too bad at all.

Anyone platinum the first Ratchet and Clank? I'm about 6 hours in and I think I've only got 1 trophy (I've never played the game before). Are more of them gonna start popping soon, or are there a bunch of different random tasks I'm gonna have to go back and complete. The only part of the trophy guide I looked at were that none are missable. Also, how much grinding involved?

Each planet has different skill points with trophies.

Example

Kill 10 elite guards with only the wrench on Veldin(SKILL POINT)

Grinding part

Took me about 4 playthroughs for Bolt Collector
trophy_silver.png
Collect 1,000,000 Bolts

I got the bolts the hard way=). But u can always cheat like in Guacamelee! :whistle2:

Wow.  I don't think I'll be platinuming it then.  I don't see myself playing through the game 4 times, nor do I see myself bothering to do that exploit and leave the game running the whole night.

Thanks.

Nice.  I didn't bother Golding all 17 of the challenges, also not going to shill out for the costume pack at full price.

I beat Ratchet and Clank (final boss wasn't as bad as I thought, beat him my second time) so now I'm going back through the game to get the Skill Points and and Golden Bolts.  I don't think I'm going to platinum it still because of the Million Bolt trophy that I don't feel like doing.  Sucks that several other trophies basically boil down to "Spend a ton of bolts!".

I did get the Speedy trophy (1:35 in the Hoverboard race) I was super excited about that!

theres a glitch you can do for the million bolts. just gotta leave your ps3 on and go do something else. check youtube.

Just got my 16th platinum for Resident Evil 5. I just played to 72% and will maybe clean up the rest at a later time. Now time to clean up some more games.

two and a half hours? wee ow.

Prince of Persia + DLC #129

Combo specialist gave me problems, did all combos twice.=(

Terrible end for the main story, lame ending for the dlc. No sequel :censored:  Ubisoft Montreal.

Same here bough a share and just passed the tutorials and since then been lying there on my HDD. I like the cell-shading style.

Got my 3000th trophy in God of War Ascensions last night.  Totally wouldn't have noticed except my PSN Profile card updated and looks like I laned right on 3000.  Cool.  Trophy was for beating one of the bosses in the middle of the game.

As for the game, it's actually not so great.  The flow just feels off compared to some of the other games.  I'm playing it on hard and it feels really hard.  Every time I get an upgrade I get swarmed by a bunch of guys, that's surprisingly the hardest part of the game so far, because my attacks never break their combos or anything.  I'm not sure if they changed up some of the combat in GoW: Ascension, but to me it feels different.  Or maybe I'm just not as good as I thought I was.

Congrats on your 3000th trophy. If you think anything you've come across hard yet wait until Ch. 28. There were many reviewers and gamers who couldn't pass it so they patched it. I let a friends mom borrow my copy last week and she still struggled on it w/ the patch. I eventually had to go over and help her pass that part. I liked Ascension when I played it and will eventually go back and finish up on the platinum. Also I think when you get past 1/2 of the game they don't allow you to change the difficulty like past GOW games from dying on a particular part over and over.

I remember hearing about that Chapter 28 thing. I'm not even close yet (I think I'm on 10 or 11) so I'm interested to see what it is. I'm assuming it's swarms of enemies, which is by far the hardest part of the game because the blocking/dodging doesn't get you out of certain situations even when applied well. I've been parrying like crazy, then grabbing the stunned enemy and ramming them into the wall to kill them, then repeating ad nauseum. It's extremely lame, but the only way I've been able to get through the huge groups of enemies.

Another gripe about the game would be the camera. I know the GoW series likes to do interesting and new things with camera views sometimes, but for Christ's sake's at least keep it zoomed in enough so I can see what the hell I'm doing. Kratos and a lot of the enemies are very similar size and similar color when they're taking up about 4 pixels on the screen.

Also, I bought the game used at Best Buy during a B2G1 deal, so it didn't come with a Online Pass. Very lame that they locked one little bronze trophy behind the online, effectively negating any chance I have of a Platinum without paying an extra $10 (which isn't happening). I mean, I understand that's the point of online passes, but still...
