Official Trophy Thread - 4/21: Enhanced Trophy Lists Coming in Firmware 3.30

I know it is a bummer that the trophies aren't retroactive, but has *any* game released trophies after launch and had them be retroactive? Seems like a fantasy to me.

Warhawk had some retroactive trophies. So you're saying GTAIV doesn't have any retroactive trophies? Even multiplayer ones?

I could have sworn I heard that GTA4 wasn't getting trophies??

I'll probably play it again eventually, since it was a lot of fun. Nice to see they're supporting it!

The "cutting teeth" one (rank up in multiplayer) is sorta retroactive. After playing one multiplayer game it unlocked, even though I didn't rank up, though I already had a rank higher than the starting one.
 
Does Sony have any plans to make trophies viewable on the PSN website like XBL profile pages? I don't feel that compelled to go after trophies unless I can browse them and re-live my video game glory when I'm not gaming.
 
I think it's coming, but they have to fix the whole synchronization stuff first. That stuff should be automatic.
 
I haven't accomplished very much.. could I earn the trophies with my old save file? Or do I have to start a NEW game just to be able to even earn some trophies.

Go to the Save Data Utility under Games on the XMB and just copy the old save to another profile, if you have another profile on the system and if you don't want to delete the old save, then delete the one on your current profile.

Thanks. Someone mentioned on another board that there is a "New Game" option in the pause menu too.

Yea, the syncro thing bugs me too. What's weird is if I play a game and access the in-game XMB, I can view the trophies without waiting for the syncro part.

Just loaded up my BF:BC (which I haven't played all that much yet) and received 3 trophies retroactively. One for playing one online match, one for reaching rank 3, and one for taking 3 pictures with the image system (which I didn't even know I had done... don't even know what that means).

I'm happy to see that the online-related stuff is retroactive but I now feel a little silly for intentionally avoiding playing it too much until this patch came out.

US patch is now live. If it doesn't prompt you to update you can delete the game and re-download a patched version from your download list.

According to this and what the guy above you said, you have to delete PJM and redownload it to get the new V2.0 with trophies. Lame, but that's what you need to do.

I downloaded it again. The Trophies aren't co-op either. Which sucks. These things are a pain in the butt. I can't get past 7 waves in any one of them.

Damn, that does suck this was one of the games both me and my wife would play together.
She was also pissed that resistance 2 changed the way co-op is played. She and I both liked the way you could play though the story together, not the current 3 classes thing.

I do have friends, though I don't know why that matters here. PJM's great and challenging in SP, so stop sucking when you're alone and start earning those trophies.

I made it to phase 19 and had 1 villager left, and the last wave of bees wrecked me! The boss even appeared while they were still on-screen, I'm so annoyed.
 
The Challenges seem a bit long in PJM. I don't know what the developer is on. Trophies for the PJ games aren't easy. To him maybe. Regular people, hell no.

I'm loving the PJM trophies. Hell, I had to play most of the game alone, since none of my friends want anything to do with it.

Apparently the Mercs 2 trophy patch is up. I must have somehow missed that (and apparently people in this thread did too). too much other good stuff to play lately I guess.
 
Those PJM trophies are weird. I'm really bad about upgrading stuff though, so Im stuck with only getting the first two. The majority are silver worthy, though. I do think I beat the scrooge level with like 5 towers lol. The one about not letting a tower upgrade was fun too.

I almost beat the one "Getting Medieval" but the boss wrecked me.

Can anybody confirm this? Not even PS3 fanboy has anything about this yet.
 
Damnit its impossible to get all the trophies in far cry 2 online.. the damn game everytime you log out or start it up again knocks you down multiple ranks.

Stupid ubisoft.
