Oh no! GGT #37's dark past has come back to haunt it!

You have other platforms it's on. Go buy it, mofucka.

:nottalking:

EXCUSE NOT VALID!!!

If you were raised by wolves in a tundra and now lack a :psp:, :ps3:, or :360: that would be valid.

Yes, no excuses now. Go. Do not return until you have it.

You don't even have to leave your house for the PSN version. Stop being lazy.

I did, JSP, even though it's on Wii and I don't have one. :[
I've never played SotN.
It's a good game, but I wouldn't gush over it.

Getting so close to a platinum in FF13. Need to beat a long gui down, need 2 traps, 4 dark matters and an assload of weapon upgrades.

BLASPHEMER!!

Symphony of the Night is pretty good, but it's no Super Metroid.

Then again, all games wish to be Super Metroid. It keeps them up at night because they're vastly inferior to its' supremacy.

I have never played Symphony of the Night either.
Also,
I have never played Super Metriod.

I was raised by wolves in the arctic tundra.

Well not entirely positive joystiq review drops Mafia 2 to a rental. Sounds like that's all it will take to experience it anyway.

I'm still undecided on this game, probably go Hank's way and buy it during a Steam sale.

Super Metroid was great but Symphony surpassed it. The RPG elements seal the deal.
SOTN is so far from overrated. Top 3 single player games ever made, easy.
I have trouble ranking games, but it's one of the best single player games I've ever played -- and I play almost everything single player exclusively. :S

I have a problem ranking stuff that is in the middle, but stuff that is absolute cream of the crop (SotN, FF7, Resident Evil 4) I have no problem ranking.

SoTN is my third favorite game of all time... I've beaten it so many times.

It goes:
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy VI
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Super Metroid has a lot more of an open world than Symphony of the Night. Starting with Symphony of the Night, not only did you get that stupid "Metroidvania" style name, but you got pretty much every game in that style afterwards to cut off pretty much all access to other parts of the game until you did at least 60% of the story.
Change it to BlueScrotum. ^_^
I'm assuming that why I needed to change it in the first place..

I'm actually slowly playing through SotN on PSP. I'm not sure if I'm enjoying it any more than Aria of Sorrow

Two of my all time favorites, but Super Metroid still gets the nod for me. Just liked the setting and combat more. The RPG elements in SOTN were a nice added feature though, so it's a damn hard pick between the two for me.

SotN was alright. It was fun but nothing I can go crazy for. It is the standard for that genre IMHO though which makes sense.

I am super dead tired right now at a friend's place after working out intensely all afternoon after doing ebay auction shit.. I am so dead right now.

I only got my PSP with me right now and my laptop... tempted to jump on Legu Universe.

also, how can I not love Tetsuya's new baby
Are you going to be home tonight? I'm trying to play some Catan.
Sorry mang... business first half of this week. I'll be home most of the second half.

I can tell you what games I think are cream of the crop, but I have problems saying "Resident Evil 4 was #2 all time" and "Final Fantasy 7 was #6 all time". They're different genres, so I feel out of place trying to rank them against each other.

Now... on the other hand, within a series, I can spout lists of ranking all day. :)
SotN > Super Metroid

RPG elements all day.
Hell yes -- like, all the different weapons and drops and loot... Metroid was a few different weapons and then you just ran around grabbing capacity increases. Not that it's bad, but the variety and random loot nature of SOTN plus the experience element -- just great.

The "spells" were kind of a nice touch too, since you could randomly discover them at any time, provided you had the requirements... weapons with special attacks and abilities... blows my mind.

The only games to come close after SotN were the Sorrow games (Aria/Dawn); Circle of the Moon wasn't bad either -- probably more along the lines of what Simon's Quest should've been.
Cheska, "What are your dating rules around the PS3"
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm more of a gamer than my boyfriend and it definitely doesn't make things easy. We probably argue more about gaming than anything else, particularly because he gets mad that I play/talk with others. It doesn't help that this whole "Tester" thing has me on video chats almost everyday. But still, I try to play videogames with him but he only typically plays sports games which is my least favorite genre. I make an effort, but there's only so much Madden I can take. It doesn't help that he makes fun of me for playing RPG's >.>

But anyways, to finish off my rant, if we were ever to break up, I don't think I can see myself dating someone who isn't into gaming.
He gets angry you play games with random people online...?
Well, he get's irritated when I'm on a headset playing online. He makes jokes about me playing online with my "internet" friends

ShawnYarrrr -- you down for Shank in our share group? Bio is yes and Ugamer is "okay so long as at least 2 of us want it and the reviews don't suck" or something like that.
Dark Sector is frustrating at points but honestly I'm still having more fun with it than I did with Gears 1.
Dark Sector is better than Gears and RE5 combined.

Yeah I'm the same way. And not just with games, but with everything really. There are very few times when I can pick a single favorite of something unless you start talking about a specific genre, and even then it's not always easy because things within the same genre can even be extremely different.
