OIL JUST HIT 70.90 PER BARREL unleaded gas UP 20% again 2.88 OUT OF HAND
Up to $2.90 here
when i see on the front page

TITLE of the thred IS slidecae (343) scorch

i expect some flaming to be going on, not "2.90"

Here the highest Unleaded is 3.39. Speedway and Marathon gas stations here are upping their price like crazy. The weird thing is that the BP that always had the highest price in Complete Chicago in my hood since last year only went up .10 to 3.09. But it was 2.99 three months.
well good ol CNN showed a Picture....In Atlanta again....Regular gas $5.89 a gallon.....ouch man
at $6, i officially stop driving and wake up an hour early to ride a bike or something =/

At least im not so pissed about my 2.90 prices.....EVEN THOUGH I COULD HAVE FILLED MY fuckING TANK FOR 2.60 JUST LAST NIGHT.....but yeah im not to mad anymore
I never knew you were from Dayton. I guess Teddy Kennedy was always distracting me.

I know the guy who started www.gaspricewatch.com He's from the area. He started the site a few years ago before the gas prices went above $2.00.

Speedway has their own site for listing gas prices, and it doesn't look like Little York's prices are any lower than the other stations in the area.

http://www.speedway.com/GasPriceSearch.asp
Yep, from the Dayton area all right. You've got competition buddy! And I guess it was a mistake on the site, because it said Little York was only $.06 a gallon. I nearly shit my pants.
Let's just say Coastal Southeast Georgia.
If you live in Brunswick, I feel for you man. Seriously.. I do. I've been to Waycross, the asscrack of the planet. Nuff said

apparently there is no more gas in auburn, alabama. the gas attendant said they'll get a shipment in on friday, but then it will be $6.00 a gallon. AHHHH!!!

I guess I will have to start giving my parents gas money. BTW if anyone has not noticed the gasprice website is down.

I have no idea where that is, but  .

I just paid $2.69 a gallon to fill up my car. not as bad as some places, but still pretty bad. as i was leaving i saw a lady looking around for a pump driving a hummer. i looked her dead in the eyes and shook my head in the disgust.

All the stations in Cincinnati appear to be $3.10. This nation's headed for a depression soon. Just combine a population with near-record debt (from the lowest interest rates we've had in years), a national debt approaching 8 trillion dollars, and social security benefits reaching lower and lower. Now top that off with the rising prices of the one commodity that influences the cost and price of everything: petroleum. We're all fucked. :)

Dude!! We're out around here too. Tallassee is all out, many places around Montgomery are busted. The Walmart gas station is drained, as well as the new one across from the Walmart on Atlanta Highway. I even think the Entec's are out.

I've been told by someone as well that Prattville (where I live) is out at a few stations as well. Yet the ghetto ass Exxon station near my work on Congressman Dickenson Dr. (around the vincinity of Six Flags over Chisholm, the state fairgrounds) still has it at $2.60.

3.69 at a gas station in des plaines today. only 2.99 acorss the street lol

My mom just told me that it's 2.79 at her shell station (she's in central illinois) so I'll probably be filling up by her place even though it's basically 2 hrs out of chicago.

Everytime I see this thread, I hear the voice of that guy in the Resident Evil 2 TV commercial go, "EVERYONE'S GONNA DIE!!"
 That was brilliant.
Face it, you're just jealous. If the woman has enough money to buy a $50,000 sport utility vehicle to begin with, I'm guessing she has more than enough cash to fill it up several times a month. Cost isn't an issue for her.

Actually, odds are she's getting raped in the ass with a shitty loan, and in thousands of dollars of debt...like most people who drive such vehicles.

Was $3.09 here in SC yesterday. Going to work last nite and saw pretty big lines at all the gas stations. Decided to fill up during my lunch break since I heard that gas prices would hit $4 at 9 am. Woman behind the counter told me that the fuel truck is out back and that is the last of shipments for now. Coming home this morning I noticed one station was up to $3.19.

Guess cheapass deals can hold off this week. That or make a 40 mile round trip on a bike.
Think I would walk the 20 miles to work if I saw that.
Which reminds me, I did see a guy riding a bike yesterday.. right down the middle of the lane, like he was a car or something. It was funny. He was holding up traffic something awful.

That ain't too far in the future man........ they said it should be $5/ gallon by the end of the summer
Think I would walk the 20 miles to work if I saw that.
I'd quit my job, and I'm making pretty good money :p

Better off collecting unemployment if it ever gets that high.
That ain't too far in the future man........ they said it should be $5/ gallon by the end of the summer
Yeah, a lot of people won't even work if it gets that high I will put money on that. It's cheaper to stay at home and collect welfare than to goto work at that price :)

I just heard a rumor from a reliable source that Sioux Falls (the largest city in South Dakota) will probably be out of gas by saturday. Sweet Jesus we're fucked.

i find that extremely difficult to believe
I just heard a rumor from a reliable source that Sioux Falls (the largest city in South Dakota) will probably be out of gas by saturday. Sweet Jesus we're fucked.
People live in South Dakota?

Who is starting these rumors? The gas station owners themselves? Everywhere, experts are saying that nobody is going to run out of gas. STOP FREAKING OUT, AMERICA! What people don't get is that the more they freak out and hoard gas now, the higher the prices will be down the road.
Which reminds me, I did see a guy riding a bike yesterday.. right down the middle of the lane, like he was a car or something. It was funny. He was holding up traffic something awful.
I've seen that a lot. I even saw one of those old people scooters (the ones that go like 5 miles an hour) doing that once.

Though I also once saw a guy on a bike going around 40, give or take. That guy was doing a pretty good job keeping up with traffic and didn't look like he was killing himself. Thought he was a professional, until I realized no professional biker would ride in the street without a helmet while going 40.

That is from a station in atlanta, it was all over the news and the people that own the gas station were supposed to be arrested for price gouging.
