Ok, this is officially the biggest WTF news story of 2005 so far...

NEW YORK - New York city health officials are investigating whether a baby boy died after contracting herpes from the rabbi who circumcised him, the New York Daily News has learned.

The probe was launched after city officials realized that three infants in the city who tested positive for herpes last year all were circumcised by Rabbi Yitzchok Fischer. The Rockland County-based Fischer is a prominent mohel - someone who performs religious circumcisions.

Under Jewish law, a mohel is supposed to draw blood from the circumcision wound to remove impurities. While many mohels do it by hand, Fischer uses a practice little known outside Orthodox communities called "metzizah bi peh," in which the mohel uses his mouth.

THAT is the Sick Bastard for 2005
Just foul.

Grow up man, this is the internet and stuff gets transferred all the time from one person to another.
Are you suggesting that this is your kind of news? You actually like this stuff? You want to see more of it? It's fun and entertaining for you as a person?
No I don't care most of the time for these but the as the OP later stated, the only reason he posted this story is because of its obsurdity. If you don't like these WTF messed up stories than why did you come into this thread, read the article/s (I'm assuming you read them), and then come back and post in here. If you really don't care than just stay the F out. I don't get off, as you posted earlier, to this sort of thing. Do you get off at innocents being blown up in Iraq or around the world then? I think not. This is not my kind of news. None of this is, a person being blown up or news such as this. This is the world we live in and this is the stuff that happens. You should learned to understand that and deal with it. It's not a pretty place but this is where we live. I'm not the one that wrote the article, but obviously the one that authored it felt that the world needed to know about what was happening in the world. I almost want to say that you would want to stifle the truth and oppress the masses. there is something called Freedom of Speech. All human being have the right to know.

Also you should take these articles and try to learn from them. For instance, I'm sure that expecting parents that want their child to be cirumcised by a Rabbi in this sort of manner will now think twice of how they want it done.

Though the enema story is pretty WTFish, this one just takes the cAKE. This one is just nasty.
WTF! What about these parents letting this guy do this crap.
It sounds strange to all of us, but it is part of their religion. It even says so in the article. It's not like he's molesting the infant.
If circumcising and then sucking off an infant isnt molestation then this world has gone to hell.
What about his guy?

Here's a potential Darwin Award candidate for 2005: A college student wrote this editorial opposing seat-belt laws:
http://www.dailynebraskan.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2004/09/17/414a5a030e91d?in_archive=1
...and then was subsequently ejected and killed in a rollover accident:

Oh sweet irony...

"No law, or set of laws, has made the government more intrusive and ridiculous than seat belt legislation. Nothing is a bigger affront to the ideas of freedom, liberty, yada, yada, yada. Whether you are a pinko liberal or a right-wing whack job, there are plenty of reasons for just saying to hell with seat belt laws."

What about banning gay marriage, abortion banning, the Jim Crow laws, considering consentual oral/anal sex sodomy and hence illegal, or about 1000 other asanine laws this country puts forth?

It was a big surprise for me when I moved to TX and all the people on motorcycles were cruising around without helmets. There's no helmet law here, unlike in GA.

True... somethings shouldn't be allowed for basic health related reasons.

Girls fined for giving neighbour cookies

"The Denver Post newspaper reported on Friday that the girls had decided to stay home and bake the cookies rather than go to a dance where there might be cursing and drinking. "
So they decided to not go out and hurt someone... and ended up screwed. Nice... I'm going out drinking tonight!

"The judge awarded Young her medical costs, but did not award punitive damages. He said he did not think the girls had acted maliciously but that 10:30 was fairly late at night for them to be out."

WTF... they are 17 and 18... I was lucky if I made it back by 2 am after going out friday nights!
Why would anyone want to promote these kinds of stories by posting them here? If this kind of stuff gets you off back home, more power to you, but please don't "share the love" too much, so to speak.
Do I get off on this stuff... no... but it's freak'n funny and/or messed up. Basically, the same reason I play games like GTA, RE4, and every other game with ESRB rating of E through M. People like to know what is going on around them... the more wierd it is the more interested we are. Like javeryh put it:
