i wake up every day (mon-fri) at 545am cent (645 est) that 15 mins before the update allows me to get my eb card credit card ready and go to the bathroom. drinking 3-5 glasses of water before i go to bed at midnight central helps me get up early too : )

Heres hoping for a GRAND update tomorrow to close out one of the greatest weeks in Eb update history in a long time

hopefully these VERY RARE games will keep showing up everyday now that eb is closing up shop

Unless I've missed something, EB's not "closing up shop." They merged with GameStop, yes, but that doesn't mean that EB's going to vanish. Until something else is announced, I'm assuming that they're going to combine stock and possibly rename stores/close in areas that are oversaturated...but EB's not vanishing, if only for their immense overseas presence.

really??? i thought maybe they were cleaning up some of their older stores/where houses getting ready to shut them down for the merger. how are they finding these RARE Games i mean i doubt people are now just trading these games in. Then again someone just traded in a Mint Complete Arc the lad collection to our Local ebgames for 12 bucks (i got it from them tuesday for 27)

you could also speculate that people could be trading them in as in preparation for the next generation systems coming out within the year (many people aren't as savvy when it comes to "rare" games) thats how i speculate all the so called "rare" GBA games (they are trading them in to either get a DS or PSP) the PS1 RPG phenomenon however i don't have anything other then maybe EB B&Ms are clearing out all their PS1 games and sending them to the online warehouse as i assume the online wherehouse places "orders" and then b&ms fill them by sending in their stock of PS1 games that may not sell particularly well in a location..
 
I want to wake up a 4 AM really badly tomorrow but I have a midterm at 8 and need my beauty sleep for that, lol.

Okay, will wake up on Monday at 4AM for sure...give me at least one of the games I want :whistle2:(
 
Even if I did put it in the OP, nobody would read it.

To answer the question, you just look through the site for stuff that wasn't there before, theres no way to see just the stuff thats new. It helps to have a few rare games in mind that you're looking for. You reload a listing every minute or two, maybe PSX or NES, and when its updating, the number of items goes down, then comes back up.

snes really needs an upatee hopefully update in 10 mins

I say update will be at 708-715 today. And either expecting a lot or nothing at all (leaning towards nothing at all i mean look how great this week is)

I'm hoping for something good today. I made it to the final checkout screen before I lost Gitaroo Man yesterday. Hopefully someone from here got it.

Here's hoping that Rhapsody comes back into stock today. It's definately a longshot, but it would make my week complete.

But if it doesn't, scoring Thousand Arms and Gradius III & IV is good too.

Hopefully they won't keep us waiting too much longer.

if eb sticks to their word you wont see rhapsody back for awhile there are people who are on phone backorder for that game (including me) they said they were like -6 when i called

No offense, but I REALLY wish EB didn't do backorders. That's the reason I've always liked EB's site more than Gamestop. I didn't even know they DID backorders until a day or two ago.

I still think that wasjust an error, it was up for over 20 minutes despit being OOS. Either that or one of the hundreds of lurkers snagged it.

We should make a requirement to post at least once a week in order to keep your account.
 
I didn't know Gradius III & IV was rare.... I wound up buying one for $5.99 at Gamerush and traded it back in for a deal a few months ago.

Late updates suck...I have to be up in 2 hours and I've only slept 2 hours... I need to order the import copy of Rez and get it done and over with :)

i try to limit myself to 1 backorder per month if that. I feel werid calling when you got 2-3 backordrers saying can i get another backorder

I don't think it's really rare persay, i'm just a HUGE shmup fan, and this one has eluded my grasp for some time as of late.

Yesterday I finally got it, so i'm happy :)
