Wasn't on the list, but I got Blackthorne for $3.99 ($3.15 shipped after codes and tax)

Awesome game . . . was just thinking about it the other day.

I would keep Valkyrie Profile even if it is just disc only. I would keep the disc only one so that you can play it because it is one of the greatest RPGs IMO. And then go and order one complete. If I ever saw it disc only I would pick it up but I'm happy with the complete version that I picked up B&M.

I can't afford two copies, I'd only return it if I could get a complete copy.

Also, my Mars Matrix is disc only. I'm ordering another and returning this.
 
Did anybody pick up anything out of the ordinary this morning?

I'm trying to decide if its worth it to get up early tomorrow -- it seems like the real rare stuff like pirates and shining force only come up when they do the massive updates like this past monday, but im not sure
 
Quick question: How often does Rez come around? I saw it show up a few days last week, but that was before I started getting up early to look for it. I'm just wondering if last week was an aberration or if I should keep checking every morning. Thanks.

Agree, I still have a mint copy of MUSHA from back in the day, box, instructions, inserts, and game all in mint condition. Which is amazing considering I must have played through it 30 times back in 1993.

Super Marion RPG is a sweet game, I just picked it up for $24.99 at Game Crazy a couple of weeks ago. It's an amazing title and must for anyone that still has their SNES. Now only if I can find Secret of Mana?
 
You know, if someone gave someone an SNES with Final Fantasy 2, Final Fantasy 3, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and Super Mario RPG, they'd be happy forever. I could live the rest of my life off of those five games. Those are some of the best games ever made.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. With next gen systems, they keep pushing technology and graphics and whatever. Give me a game with 2D sprites and 100+ hours of gameplay and i'd be content for life. Could you imagine any of those five with an extended amount of gameplay? Geez.
 
Those EB morons are pretty unreliable. I checked early in the morning for a whole hour and nothing popped up. Then all the good stuff came on when I turned the PC off. Can't they just drop all the crap out there together.
 
For anyone that reads this, I'm runing off of Internet Explorer and for some reason I can't see the pics, nor the links of the games that people are posting. Is it due to something in my settings and if so what could it be?
 
do u have norton thing on? if so, it blocks the images. i have norton and it doesnt show images. just disable it and refresh and u'll see pics.

I just assumed they would, never even bothered to realize that it's Thanksgiving. I dunno? I'd say it's 50/50, a company that big with a website that popular simply can't afford to shut down operations completely for a day. I'm positive they at least have people around the clock on staff in case the website breaks down or some other technical difficulty comes up. I also assume that they have humans updating the site.
 
Einhander is generally in stock... Its one of the things which I find a bit overpriced, but would buy at a B&M if complete, with the 30% off coupon.

And I doubt they'll update the site on Thanksgiving. They don't generally update on weekends either.

I bought it about 4 or 5 years ago at GS when it was $18 used, now it's $30 used, I think I got a bargain.

Yup, I think that's what it must have been. I have NOrton Internet Security. I'll just have to disable it when I try to check up on the EB update/front page because I hadn't even noticed it but it also blocks the pics on the front page.

I hadn't known that about Einhander. I hadn't seen it in for a while so I decided to post it. I would love one even if it weren't complete. It's very, very,very, extremely rare to find one in store. I have never found one ever yet I have found Valkyrie. Still I find it worth it with %25 off and free shipping. It is a great game. I really don't find it overpriced also. I know a CAG should not say that but I have monitored what it goes on Ebay for a while and average price it ends on is slightly hihger than $30 at $35. It's even been known to go higher (i.e. $40). Then again those are complete. Oh well I'm still not sure what I'll do if it comes not complete. I have been looking for this game forever and love the demo of it that I have but I'm not sure if i'll return it to the store or just keep it.

They refund the price listed next to your item on your packing slip, so its what you actually paid. The stores don't care because they're all owned by the corporation, theres no franchises that have to eat a loss for the company. The store sends it back. Its not like GS where they're separate entities. Its cheaper for them this way since they don't have to cover return shipping, and one of the two biggest reasons I'll do business with EB and not GS. More companies need to be as integrated as EB is with their B&M's and their website, though EB could stand to be even more integrated.

As for a valid reason, I do actually have one, the disc is a little... Gunky. Theres some kind of gunk on the edges. I could wash it off, but I expect more for a game I just purchased. Besides, another reason they consider valid is getting a 2nd copy cheaper from them or a competitor, which I'll do with the b2g1 deal.

MMX-2 went in about 3 minutes, still plenty of time if you are quick with debit/credit info. I would have gotten that and FF2, but I forgot that I had to use a different account as I have gone over my BOGO limit. :x
