I lost so much out of my cart... Megaman 3 and 4, Princess Tomato, and Ultima 3 (nes). I did get Uncharted Waters (nes), Ultimate Qix, and Megaman 1 and 2.

From what I understand, Ultimate Qix is one of the rarer Genesis games.
 
I'm so sick of this f*cking thread. Every morning I try to wake up early to get in on the daily updates, and still one single person manages to get every rare title, every single motherf*cking time.

I don't even get very much anymore, not the stuff I want anyway. Taking the time to do the thread as I'm going through makes me miss out on the things that sell out first. Like King's Bounty the other day.

If theres certain things you want, target those first. Keep them bookmarked, and if you see the site updating, go to their pages when its finished.

Another way is to use Rockhero's tool right after the site updates, you'll see some important things immediately, but it doesn't have half of the good stuff yet. If anyone has the url's for Princess Tomato and the other game on the frontpage I don't have one for, post them so he can add those.


We're pretty much getting beat out by some dealers... They used to ignore NES and Genesis games for a while, but its impossible to get even those now.
 
I've been lucky a time or two getting things this morning, but maybe knowing more about the update would help us. I mean is it one instant update, like at say 7:02 AM their entire inventory is updated, or does it slowly update over a period of like ten minutes?
Also good tip dafoomie, I knew I wanted RE 2 for GCN today so that's all I went after, and since I searched Resident Evil I saw Veronica and RE3 in stock as well and got them. But I'm just amazed how fast someone's been cleaning out the site every freaking day.

are we ever sure that someone is cleaning them out. how do we know that Eb isnt doing an update then taking out each game by hand that shouldnt be in there. its been a few weeks since i got anything off the webpage (demi kids dark) still waiting for Shining force 2 and orge battle to come back (probally wont)

I used to get pretty lucky and was able to get one of the games during the update, but recently every time i have a game in my cart during the checkout process it gets yanked out. None the less its still awesome you do the updates, just sucks when you continiously strike out. The last thing i successfully got during the morning updates was a copy of pirates for punqsux and that was quite awhile ago.
 
I just got the last copy of Mr. Mosquito at 8:25 am for $10.xx. I think I'm done shopping for a while...I've spent too much this weekend.

Over a period of 2 or 3 minutes, the inventory of every platform will go down to zero, and then go back up higher than what it was before. If you were looking at the SNES category, and refreshed every minute or two, you'll be able to see when it happens. Mozilla has an extension called ReloadEvery that does this automatically.

Your best bet is to checkout immediately after finding something good, if you continue browsing for other things, you'll probably lose it.

i haven't. both my RE2 and 3 were in awesome condition ( except for the sticker placed on back of the box on both, but those are easy to peel off)

I have to believe that in a lot of cases it's a dealer. I mean I know that Earthbound and some of the older SNES, NES, games only get 1 in stock so that goes to whoever gets lucky and checks out quickest. But games like RE 4 when I went to buy mine they had like 7 copies and by the time I added that, RE3, and Veronica to my cart and checked out (about a minute or so) all the extra RE 4 were gone. I'm just glad I managed to get through without getting it ripped out of my cart.
 
I've always wondered, how do you know how many games are left?


Put 100 copies in your cart; it will then adjust it to how many copies are left in stock if the total is less than 100.
 
You could speed things up as well by before the update put some dollar or two crap game in your cart, then put all your coupon codes in then, and proceed through the order until you have to log in, then go back to the games list. That would save a few seconds, at least.

I feel the same way about SF 1 and 2. I sold them both on Ebay a couple months ago with books for a good amount. I really only want the games so it'd be great to pick up for cheap.

Thanks for the info. I'll hold off from buying it from ebay then. I figured that the b2g1 sale might stave it off for a couple of weeks.
 
Geez, are Demikids ever coming back in stock for me. I looked at them for the longest time, now that I actually want them they're too popular to find.
 
I actually did receive a Resident Evil 3 that was in pretty crappy shape. The front of the manual was barely attached and the label on the disc was very faded. The coverart really wasn't in very good shape either.

It's more of a gimmick game than anything else. The novelty wears off rather quickly, too. I beat it, but by the end of the game I wasn't really enjoying it that much. For 15, it might be worth it, though.

I rented it once. It's basically just a novelty game, because it is unique. I didn't really enjoy it much after the first couple of levels.

For the same reason that I sold Harvest Moon 3 for GBC for $36 recently. I'd chalk it up to the same reason Resident Evil and Metal Gear are so hot right, it's a series that has quite a few fanboys/girls.

Seems that if someone checks out with the games that are in your cart while you are far enough into your order it will keep at least this coupon (BUY2GET1), even though the games are pulled from your order thus nullifying the coupon. I got just RE3 because someone bought RE2 while I was checking out but the coupon stayed, although it did look weird.

18 shipped each isnt bad but warning Goldeneye got really bad reviews(i havent actually played it) and LotR 3rd age was the WORST rpg ive ever played i bought it in the buy2get1 on black friday when it was a fairly new release and returned it the next day

Worst RPG ever? I don't agree. It isn't the best one for sure and it has a small problem on the pelennor fields but it was not a huge disappointment to me.

Goldeneye is ok. But just ok. Not particularly anything special.

All 3 versions of Def Jam Fight for NY are 29.99 at EBgames.com, even though the Xbox version is 34.99 used (before coupons). Also, any reason LOTR is cheaper for GCN, was that version even more craptacular than the PS2?
