I never understood how games like SoM and FF6 are so expensive if they're cart only (according to the site). What gets me is how LttP was so cheap for just the cartridge. I was under the impression it was one of the harder to fin games as well.

Secret of Mana is a pretty good game (I liked it), that has been hyped and has gained a mucher greater following that it probably deserves as far it's gameplay and story go. So I can see how that goes for 40+ on Ebay cart only.
What I'm more amazed by is games like LttP, FF2, and FF3 for the SNES. I think all 3 of those go for 30+ on Ebay cart only, which is amazing to me considering they've all been remade for newer systems. I guess there's some people that just like collecting. As for me I'd rather pay less for newer versions.

I've always liked having a game on its original debut system. I'd take the SNES version of LttP and FF over a GBA version any day. Just my opinion though.

I agree, especially regarding a game like FF3, which has horrendous loading times on the PSX

I agree with you about loading times being worse, but it never bothered me too much. I'm more bothered by old SNES games that just stop working. I know it shouldn't happen if you've taken care of your games and system, but it does from time to time.

i ordered toughman contest, ballon boy and funny world, gradius 3, thunder force 2, and strider returns for $16 ^^

seriously, funny worls and balloon boy must be a VERY rare genesis game, i added it to my cart with the intentions of looking up info on it because ive never heard of it before (which is odd for me) and i checked every gaming site on the net as well as my extensive rom archives (of all regions) and i found NOTHING! the only thng that makes me think its not rare is what it says on EB's site...

It is two games in one! Get ready for a challenging and hysterical shooter in Funny World, and then take on over 50 levels of balloon popping action with Balloon Boy in one of the rarest Genesis games to ever be produced!

so anyways heres the link, thers 1 left.
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/232763.asp

i also highly reccomend toughman contest if you like punchout.

Funny World/Balloon Boy is an R5 according to Digital Press.

"Funny World/Balloon Boy Realtec $15/R5
A 2-in-1 cart containing two decidedly dull games."
whats an R5 mean?
Rarity of a game based on a scale of 1 - 10; 5 being the median.
Is Clayfighter 63 1/3rd rare? It's available...
I think only the one that is called the Sculpter's Cut or something like that. I believe that back in the day it was actually a Blockbuster exclusive or something like that.

But in terms of them being valuable, I think neither since their is no demand for them. They're also not that good of games. Fun and entertaining but control and graphics are not good at all.

yeah, seriously...i dont know how much longer i can get by with 3 hours of sleep a night =/

waiting for RE2 for gamecube =[

Missed out on it (stupid work) did these come with the guns. Or is there anywhere to find cheap guncons or another gun?
Anyone know if that Vampire Night comes with the Guncon2?
This is just the game. They sell Vampire Night with the Gun Preowned for 39.99 BC IIRC

Thanks for the heads up, I went ahead and ordered two guns off of Ebay then.

Quantum Redshift (Xbox) - $3 AC, 22 in stock ATM
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/223009.asp
Any good at all? I'm all over cheap games, but is this worth the 3 bucks?
It's decent. I bought it for $10 new a couple of years ago, but I have since traded it. Story is a complete joke, and the game would have been better without it, but it's a decent game. There are a few rabid fans of the game out there, but I think that folks who have played the Wipeout series have been largely let down by the title overall. It's pretty fast, and looks pretty (or at least it did a couple of years ago); it's just not all that interesting.

It was done by Curly Monsters (made up of folks from the Wipeout/XL team, who also released N-Gen Racing on PS1), and it was their last game before the company went under. And it is worth $3, but most games probably are, IMO, unless you're talking Pulse Racer or something of the like.

R.A.D. was in stock for a few minutes ($15 before coupons) boy its a feeding frenzy in the morning!

I bought QRedshift a few weeks ago its pretty dull . . . if you've played Wipeout before (yawn). The only thing interesting about QR is that it is one of a series of games that show you why MS was unable to complete with Sony. From Halo for about 1 year there were very few reasons to buy an Xbox (now, of course, there are many).

BTW, I ended trading QR in (to complete a pair) for $5.25 during the EB promo.

Well, ebgames asked CheapyD to ask me to stop running the script I wrote to check for the rare games, so I'm going to take it down when I get home from work today. Funny thing is that I haven't run it personally for months..

Just letting you guys know.

That sucks!

I guess that's a measure of how popular the tool was, though, which is a good reflection on rockhero's idea!

Way to go, rock! :D

It may have been posted in here, but hell, a lot of people still want this:

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/232735.asp

Hell, it's been moved down to $30 new.

$24.99 before savings.
YES!
I payed nearly twice as much for a copy. I can safely say it was not worth it. For under 20 AC, though, yeah.

yep... preordered it... played it for 3 hours.... haven't picked it up since.
I got Fable with a 40 something percent off raincheck day of release and was quite pleased with my purchase.
I paid full price for mine and it was worth it. This game wasn't as great as it was promoted being, however it's still a fun game. Although due to the shortness and price drop waiting a month would have saved me 20 bucks. Oh well.

rez was in stock this morning, it went oos and then came back in and went oos again. I was 0/3 on games this morning... damn 56k

I think it was 34.99 the first time, and then when it came back in stock it was 36.99 (I got all the way to check-out the second time, and then BOOM - cart is empty)
