i was told yesterday that games must be broke to return them.i guess too many people were doing this. What i find interesting is dont know if its just my store or chainwide. They dont send the games back they just keep them in their store

i was able to find katria that way along with some other ps1 games. I got like 2 Saga frontier 2s that are disc only im stuck with
Just say it won't work.

slide--it's totally YMMV; my store is fine with me just telling them the truth.... maybe it's cause I buy a lot of other stuff from them, or they're just very lax in that regard...
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/145019.asp

I still don't understand why this game is 24.99b/c. So expensive.
i got 2 of these up for sale on ebay... 1 sold disc only for 9.99 got one complete for same price eb is asking for last month and never sold so doubt this makes it its a fun game though seems i have the 2 player game cause my case is different??

I picked up Sky Odyssey last week based on someone's post here (can't remember who). I had been looking for an excuse to pick it up for a while, but all I could find were new copies for $12-20 or really mangled PO copies.

Finally, ebgames.com had it for $5 b/c, so I figured I'd snag one and at the very least get a complete copy. I was pleasantly surpised when the game arrived near-mint. In fact, it looked like the game had just been opened (part of the original seal remained on the edge, and the plastic was clean and smooth; no dust).

At any rate, the game is excellent. I was surpised to find that it does not support the optical digital output, however. I put the game in, and after the PS2 startup and logo, it was completely silent. I had to switch over to analog. Are there many games like this? First generation titles only? I guess it's a good thing I kept the old analog cables plugged into my receiver, or I would have been digging through boxes last night.

Either way, good stuff. I am very pleased with the game, and my flight stick gets its first use since I picked up Ace Combat 4!

escape--I picked up a copy myself once it dropped awhile ago; just came yesterday, and it is in mint mint mint condition, with the exception of the tiny lil' sticker on the back... I was really impressed considering it released so long ago.

I bought a copy of "Butt Ugly" to flip at FYE . . . is it "flipping" if you sell to another strore or is that the case when it is the same chain?

Anyway, I hate FYE . . . but if I could turn $2.50 ($5 of EB credit) into $18 there . . . actually, you can get some good prices at FYE as long as you stay away from the CDs, games, and DVDs . . . I got a Sony walkman (I need it for books on tape) for $20 at FYE (really the credit from one $2.50 copy of March Madness) when the same player was $40 at CC and BB . . . no kidding!

sounds like escapekey could get hooked to the update . . . I found the perfect game to play while doing the update . . . Feel the Magic . . . I cleared "Signs" in Memories while surfing here.

I lost "Play" for eyetoy from my cart 3 maddening times 2 months ago . . . now no one wants it . . . patience pays off in the update. Stick with it and you will prevail.

I love this thread, though I wish I could catch the update more often. I still snag a couple things even if I come in late. This thread costs so much money to watch all the time though, lately I've mostly been picking up sub $5 PS1 games just to satisfy my buying need. I especially love EB games when I feel the urge to buy something, I just hit up my wishlist and grab something.

Sucks that I missed Eyetoy Play, I really didn't expect that back and stopped checking for it a long time ago.

$2.99
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/156869.asp

This is the first time EB has screwed me over... Don't get me wrong I love the site and am completely happy - enough to overlook this as a simple bad judgement call.

I received this disc in such shitty condition that I cannot believe it even passed their QC department. It had blockbuster stickers, tags, and other junk so layered on top that I could barely see the title. The bottom was resurfaced but still home to smudges, scratches and other such nasty marks. I think I will re-order the title simply because I cannot keep this copy.

Anyway.. happy ordering!
And over 60,000 views.

Lots of lurkers out there...
I watch the thread but I'm never up in the morning to get in on these deals. Every once in a while there might be a game thats available later in the day that I'm interested in.

I used to get a lot of stuff through this thread months ago, but there are just so many people watching now and such a tiny chance of getting stuff I want, that I'm having a lot better luck just scoping out my B&M stores these days. The holes in my collection have gotten a lot smaller. ;)

Just grabbed Strider - I've been looking for this for a while, and I'm surprised it was so cheap! My difficulty finding it led me to believe it would be far more pricy.

I don't think it's time for a new thread guys. I say let this one go till some nice numver like 75 pages or 65 or something. Not on such a random number ;).

You've gotta be like me and wake up sometimes early in the morning and other times just to let people go at it and try to skim over and pick up the leftovers. There is always items that get through to the afternoon and even some items' popularity/people's interest wane in them so you can pick them up when they make it through the update.

The other Bust a Move went out of stock so I thought I'd post this one up in case anyone wants it. I already have a copy but it's not in such a good condition and craps out on me sometimes, but I"m pretty low in funds right now.

I decided to order Growlanser: Generations for PS2 a few days ago for $27.38 used after Edge, CAG15, and Saver. I just got the package in the mail today and it wasn't the regular edition it was the deluxe edition. This might be YMMV, but for $27.38 for the deluxe edition I would recommend taking the chance in ordering it when its back in-stock. You can always return the game in-store and get your money back if its not the deluxe.

Another thing to check is that this might be the in-store price (around $36.99) without the discounts, but I hardly doubt that. Its worth checking though.

Here's the link for anyone that wants to get it when it comes back into stock:

Thanks, I've been looking around for this game at a good price. What's the difference between the normal and deluxe editions?

Do you get the extra items that come with the Deluxe version like watch, artbook, ect. ? It's a damn good deal if it comes with everything.
