Nah, I've owned it for years and just happened to have the link bookmarked for some reason. Glad you were able to snag it.

BTW, have you ever read From Hell? It's what got me interested in the Ripper, and is easily one of my favorite books of all time.
I didnt read From Hell but I saw the movie. I did however read a story about Jack the Ripper's potential identity written by Patricia Cornwell called "Portrait of a Killer". It was a little gruesome but very good. I recommend it.

wait, i'm confused, isnt the first post the in the whole thread the update? or was that the very first update and subsequent updates are posted in the thread?

what interval are these updates posted at? or do people just randomly make update posts in this thread? when do they start new ones like this with more complete lists like the first poster did?

first post is just a post to get the links to games that might come back in stock those games been out of stock of many months but may come back in.. People want the links so they put them there
Psychonauts for Xbox in stock, ordered for the wife. $37 b/c makes it about $29 a/c.

Or, get a new one for free . . . depending on your purchase of Advent Rising or your ethical standpoint . . .

see:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63175&page=1&pp=20

Because of the pulling of the tourney, they appear to be sending games out to anyone with a gamertag and a copy of the AR upc . . .

I have been holding out for Makai Kingdom to come in used some day... anyone have a guess as to how long I will have to wait? I see Atelier Iris used every other day or so now, so should I expect to see Makai there soon?
"PROMO SC PANDORA FREE PS2"
Crap i thought they could been used as basic AV wires anyone know if they can.. or know a place to get them cheap.. My puppy chewed on my av wires...

can you use PS1 AV wires to hook into a PS2 (i still got the PS1 av)
Yes, the ps1 and ps2 use the same A/V connector.
New (19.99)

Used (17.99) BC

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/243643.asp

Suikoden IV, was sold out yesterday when I went to look for it, is also sold out everywhere in my area B&M. Might want to pick one up while they are in stock. I grabbed a used one and picked up Spin Jam at 99 cents so i could use the codes and EC.

Spin Jam (.99) BC

spin jam was like 74 cents or something AC shipped.. thanks.. i wanted in on this game yesterday.
when you say BONUS CD do you mean soundtrack, making of or the demo. if it was the demo that man you got lucky
Let's see...it's "The Making of Lunar Silver Star Story" and obviously the 2 game discs.
Also Futurama has been in the past couple of days for 17.99 BC (i see people on the trade boards want it)
And I'm one of them. I've been waiting for it to drop to $14.99 but I'm starting to wonder if it will happen.
im guessing

Splinter Cell 2: Pandora some kind of promo item??
I'm thinking it's for the Rainbow Six promo they've got going on now. If you preorder R6 3 Lockdown or whatever it's called you get Pandora Tomorrow for free.

I grabbed a futurama used and there is only 1 left used.
But there are at least 100 brand new copies for 19.99
I thought this game was semi rare.
Futurama is semi rare, I've seen them on Amazon for about $35+ new. Used, not much though.
on the ps2 its semi rare on the xbox its uncommon
on the ps2 its semi rare on the xbox its uncommon
didn't really know the rarity thing.. it was just something that when i was looking through xbox games it doesn't come up all the time and just wanted to say. if you're looking to play it then hell 17.99 is a great price for it beats the hell out of the ebay (i hear it hits upwards of 40 for PS2 versions) so its like getting half off.. anyways..
Thanks for all the info on the Shadowrun differences. I played the SNES version as a kid for quite a while before getting stuck.

I played the ROM a while back for kicks, I was enjoying it a lot.

About the SNES version being easier, hell, it was still hard...

This decided me though:

Sold. I will grab the Genesis version when I can get it. Are the graphics much worse? Genesis was always behind in the graphics dept.
Out of town for the last few days ...

Honestly, it's a matter of apples and oranges.

If I remember correctly, neither character upgraded as you changed his appearance (ie. armor or weapon).

I think there was more variety of sprites in the SNES, but they were smaller than the Genesis sprites.

Here are some screenshots I found of the SNES game:

http://www.mobygames.com/game/shadowrun_/screenshots

Here are some screenshots I found of the Genesis game:

http://www.mobygames.com/game/genesis/shadowrun/screenshots

Neither are exhaustive lists.
is this worth getting at this price $17.99?
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/176854.asp
(Sword of the Berserk DC)
Good game, but not worth $18. It's fun for a while, but it gets repetitive. This game's gotta hold the record though for the biggest melee weapon in a beat-em-up....his sword is ridiculously huge...so huge that he can't really hold it upright unless he's actively swinging it ;-)

I have a disc-only copy of this, btw, if anyone wants it but doesn't want to pay $18.
How much was it?
$24.99 before coupons/tax. Cheaper at GameStop, but they were backordered. The price seems fine though, because even long before the days of CAG I remember this game being hard to find. Whereas I recall seeing the second one just about everywhere.

Are there any bonus items I should be concerned about (a la Lunar) or is this just the typical disc/case/manual deal? I went out of my way for a B&M with Lunar, because I wanted to make sure I got the soundtrack. But if Alundra just has a basic setup I'm fine, I can always just look up the manual details online.

Far as I know Alundra has a basic one-disc, big case (ala Suikoden, Wild ARms, etc) the insert for the front and back, as well as the cover of the manual, are reflective foil.

At least, that's how mine is and I bought it at launch. ;)

I don't recall having a "list" of games for every update.. just when people mention some stuff i just take note and look for it as I love recommendations. I love my xbox to death and i have the "rare" titles for that.. now really I just want the "common" games for that system. I do have most of the high profit PS1 RPGs so I don't have a pressing need for those. I'm just looking for games that are on the cheap and are pretty good (like the last two days I got Sol Divide and Spin Jam, both from recommendations here) I also picked up the Exhibition vol 2 because of recommendations here. I get most of my deals from pawn shops around and only kinda into the EB thing.
I love how some of you guys expect a great update every day including all the games on your list.

Really, stop complaining.
Seconded.

Wow, they gave me free 3 day select on an order I placed on friday-- got my copies of Final Fantasy 3, Illusion of Gaia and NHLPA 93 today! :)

objectively speaking, the update this morning was quite suckalicious.

I've tried using that approach before to get them to shut up. Didn't work.

The worst thing here, though, is that I can't really add those people to my ignore list since they're also the ones who are scouring the site and finding occasional sales. Darn it...

the best way is to not use the ignore button but just look at the links being posted rather then the discussion about it sucking.. i just skim over those and see what people posted.

so what you guys are saying is that you'd rather be lied to about the update sucking? or that it's not worth any analyzation?

My local EB has a complete copy of Alundra so I can pick it up if anyone wants it, but I guess shipping would kill it. They also had a complete Threads of Fate. I picked up Torneko: Last Hope and Saiyuki.

I think someone had just traded in their rpg collection; saw a tall stack of rpg's including a suikoden but I didn't think it was worth it.

BTW I bought Zombie Revenge for the DC for $3.96. Haven't had any DC games to play in awhile.

That game is a lot of fun with a few players. The voice overs out-cheese House of the Dead, which is astonishing
It's not worth bitching about. There's a difference between, "Oh well, nothing for me" and, "OMGZ THIS UPDATEZ SUXORZ".

Don't act like it's EB's fault.
ok. this is the last I have to say about this. there's a difference b/t bitching and just stating a fact. This morning was bone dry, thus it sucked, and that was all there was to say about it. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. it's water under the bridge about 10 minutes after it happens, ya know? ;-)
