I only wish I hadn't been so naive a year ago when I got my Cube... picked up that in-store with my system for 26.99, and Tetris Worlds for 17.99. If only I had known I could have gotten both for 33.75 if I had just waited to discover CAG.

Honestly if not saving $12 was the worst thing that happened to you before CAG, consider yourself lucky :)

Haha. True. The worst thing that happened was actually deciding to do my Masters part time and waste $5000 and counting. Thank God I did find CAG so now I have spent ten times more on games than I would have before.

i wish I would have waited to place my order today instead of yesterday.. but i got some really hard to get GB classic games.. it seems no one on theboard is looking for them lately. got Operation C and Game and Watch gallery.. they did have the Fidgetts (it was on a 4 or 5 rarity scale at digit press) and they had that mr. gourmet game.

I kinda feel sorry for the person who bought Pulse Racer. I meant to put a comment on there that I'd heard terrible things about it, but I forgot.

Personally I just have a few games that I search for to see if they're in. But for more general searches, you usually pick a page (i.e. SNES RPGs) and keep refreshing it. When the number of listings starts to go down to zero, the update is about to occur. As you keep refreshing, the number will start to increase again as it repopulates the stock.

i wouldn't say it blew.. but the graphics are kinda bad.. and if you like mech/tank (it felt more like a tank game).. then its pretty neat.. really really short/disappointing though.

EDIT: actually.. this is the reason why I will never ever ever ever buy another Mech game ever.. well this and Mech Assault.

can anyone recommend Baldurs gate Dark alliance 2 for the xbox.. i loved the first game and I know this is more of the same but with more characters. but do you think its worth the 30 something AC?

Nope. I think the price is due to rarity. Also, I've seen them preplayed at Blockbusters for under $25. Given B2G1F sale or at least 25% off preplayed sales, you can get it much cheaper.

Lastly, the Baldur's Gate engine has been used to death. I think there are 5 games that reuse the code. For example, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

If the game is rare, then it's unlikely that he'll find it at a local Blockbuster, so this or eBay (it goes for $20-30) may be his best option to get the game.

So what if other games use the engine? You don't see people complaining when Yet Another Unreal Engine Powered Game is released. Dark Alliance II is arguably the best game to use the engine on the Xbox, since Fallout: BoS was a bastardazation of the franchise.
 
i didn't know it was "rare" or anything.. just liked the first game and was interested in the second and I hadn't seen it drop in price forever just wanted to get some opinions on it...

a lot of games use similar engines and that doesn't really bother me much. stupid paypal.. I wish bank transfers were faster than 3 days.. I saw the SF anniversary collection today for 17.99 B/C and yeah.. that would have been nice.
 
Does anyone else often get their gamecube games all crusted out from the inner rim? Is this due to some kind of cleaning process or what? It usually comes off but still, it annoys me like heck when it doesn't.

Cleaning process... just wash it off with a little soap and water... it does not bother me because I know the game will look like new since it was just 'buffed'.
