Didn't know that, I remember in that one No Doubt video 'dont speak' she was hellllllllllaaaaaaaaaa flat.

Im having a hard time sleeping but Bioshocks slowly making me drowsy. :D

You using S-Vid out? If so and you find a way, let me know. I have my TV next to my PC and use it for watching stuff while playing games , but it'd be nice to have seperate sound sources.

I got a hankerin' to play some Guitar Hero II when I get home...

Wow, I layed down to watch the car race for like 5 minutes whilw the brownies cooled off and I fuckin' fell asleep.

That blows.

Goddamn I got drunk last night and apparently I was yelling at people in my sleep. Great.

fucking Curb Your Enthusiasm got into my subconscious.

It's 10 in the morning. Who eats brownies that early?
Time for some Bioshock.
Yar! I think I can beat it today if I apply myself. I must've chunked away 8-10 hours into it yesterday.

The story line took one huge twist that I really didn't see coming and then one only slightly lesser twist that I was kind of expecting.

The last few parts have made me wonder how I feel about the game, to be honest. It started with a real rush with lots of interesting emotion, but now I think I don't want to feel what the developers want me to feel at this moment in the game. Weird.

Anyway, gang, here's something a little more lighthearted than Bioshock for your Sunday-hole:

I thought you were baking brownies at the crack of dawn or something.

Nope. I don't know why I was so fucking tired all of a sudden.

At least my brownies are nice and cool now.

Gotta make fried chicken for dinner tonight.

i could go for some browies. i'll have to put the ingredients on the shopping list. which reminds me, i forgot to add the things i ran out of this morning (bacon and eggs) to the list.

I hope walnuts are on the list for the brownies.

always. and a can of chocolate fudge frosting. maybe some white chocolate or caramel chips, also. being nice and early still, maybe i should go to walmart and get it out of the way. there's no way i want to be anywhere near that hellhole later. the assholes, rednecks and general level of trash that flock to that place on weekend afternoons is incomprehensible.

Scrap the chocolate fudge frosting. Add wheat germ to the batter. And don't shop at Walmart.

unfortunately, walmart is one of the 3 large stores in the area. the others are target and Price Chopper (part of the Tops/Giant/Lion/Ahold supermarket group). they're right next to eachother. unless i want to spend double on things like canned/jarred food items and garden supplies, shopping at the small independant stores isn't an option right now. our town is a big weekender community for wealthy Manhattanites, so all of the small stores in town literally double their prices for the summer and all holidays. even the restaurants that normally charge around $5 for a burger, have their "summer menu" which is $11 for the same burger. we grow our own produce and anything we don't grow, we get at farmers markets. unfortunately, it will be October 1 before prices go back to normal. i don't know about you, but i can't justify spending over $2 for a regular can of campbell's tomato soup.

Hitman is pretty fun...once you figure out what the hell you are supposed to do. Lots of trial and error here.

And I think I'm getting sick. Just what I needed.

so Friday is my last day at my temp job. They had told me that it was temp-to-perm and that I was elligble for benefits. Needless to say, they had lied to me for almost 5 months, so I told them to fuck off. Back to working retail  on the bright side, at the store I have visibile tattoos and wear pretty much anything that covers my goods. one winter while I was in highschool I worked there and I wore a helmet and goggles every day just because I could.

I dunno why anyone would shop at a small grocery chain and pay 1.5x the cost just because they don't like walmart.
it was great. at one point i didn't wear shoes, either. the store's carpeted and i was mostly beind the front counter, so why not? ;) i had all sorts of crazy socks that needed to be showed off lol

I feel for you. Retail is a lousy gig. I'll die a happy man if I never have to work another hour in retail. Are you going through a temp agency? Isn't there anything else they can set up with?

Don't.

On a related note, I didn't sign up for classes this semester, because of Halo 3.

(Well, not really... but I'd fail all of my classes because of Halo 3, so I was indirectly wise.)

She was going through a temp agency for the job that ends Friday, the retail job, not so much. She's worked there on and off forever, since high school, I think.

The temp agency was a wee bit sketchy at points though, don't know if she wants to get another position through them or not.

Nice .

I'm probably gonna skip school the day after Halo 3 comes out. It's not gonna go over well with the 'rents though...
I'm in the mood to play some Incredible Machine-type games.

XBLA needs to make this happen.
That would be fucking awesome.

Retail made me suicidal, but in a good way.

Besides, I miss looking this money:

Yea, I was using the S-Video out on my laptop. I went to walmart and grabbed a Y audio cable that connects to the headphone jack on my laptop and used that to connect to the receiver.

It is this: http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=148894# except I paid $5 and it is 7 feet in length. It was over where the Ipod/cd player/mp3 player accessories were.
