Scrap the chocolate fudge frosting. Add wheat germ to the batter. And don't shop at Walmart.
unfortunately, walmart is one of the 3 large stores in the area. the others are target and Price Chopper (part of the Tops/Giant/Lion/Ahold supermarket group). they're right next to eachother. unless i want to spend double on things like canned/jarred food items and garden supplies, shopping at the small independant stores isn't an option right now. our town is a big weekender community for wealthy Manhattanites, so all of the small stores in town literally double their prices for the summer and all holidays. even the restaurants that normally charge around $5 for a burger, have their "summer menu" which is $11 for the same burger. we grow our own produce and anything we don't grow, we get at farmers markets. unfortunately, it will be October 1 before prices go back to normal. i don't know about you, but i can't justify spending over $2 for a regular can of campbell's tomato soup.
