Old School Deal at GameCrazy- 3 for $15, ALL classic games 4/28-End of May

We got this memo today, apparently starting thursday (the 28th) ALL our used Product that is older than current generation (Xbox, PS2, GameCube, GBA, DS, PSP) Will be 3 for $15. Now I was pretty floored by this, considering gamecrazy doesn't ever do stuff like this. But I read the memo over several times and it mentioned no maximum price for the discount to take place, or any limitations. (although, most stores won't let you use the MVP discount on top of this deal)

It sounds as if you will simply be able to buy any 3 old generation games for $5 each, starting friday.

Now, I've got my hopes up for grabbing the Ogre Battle, Final Fantasy Chronicles, and Vagrant Story we have priced at $29.99 each for a measly $15, but I'm sure there's some catch which wasn't made entirely clear in the memo.

But if it's true.. I am gonna be buying so many PSOne games..

I'll try to keep you guys posted on this, cause if your GameCrazys have any rare/pricier old generation stuff you've been wanting, this could be a great deal.

I called my local GC and they said the deal ends this saturday (5-21).

Can anyone else confirm this? I just found out about this deal now, which kinda sucks. I'm betting on all the good games already being gone.

The majority of the good stuff is gone indeed but you can still find some stuff here and there. It also depends on what you are looking for. Most of the games I got weren't complete, but they were games that I wanted to play anyway so it didn't bother me.
 
yeah I'm mostly looking for NES, SNES, and N64 games. Last time I was there they had a ton of quality N64 games (i'm hoping they still have the paper mario which was selling for $30). I'm also looking to see if they have some good PS1 rpgs. Last time I was there I saw Front Mission 3 (just disc) selling for $28. The GC by me isn't really popular, as there's 2 gamestops, 1 EB Games, a Fred Meyer, and a Target all within a one mile radius. Most of the time I'm in GC I never see people looking through the older games. We'll see what's there tomorrow when I stop by.

You can still get some good games, just this week I picked up:

Dance Dance Revolution Disney Mix complete mint
Xenogears non GH complete mint
X-men Children of the Atom disc only
Legend of Dragoon non GH complete mint
Dead or Alive 2 DC Complete mint
Galerians Complete mint

I also found a DDR bundle for ps1(game and dance mat) but it wasn't part of the deal.

They usually have a binder on the counter with a list of the games available for each system, but the DDR Disney and Xenogears weren't in the book for me, DDR Disney was in the case, and the Xenogears was being held by the employee for himself, but he sold it me anyways.

I stopped by GameCrazy last Saturday and they still had 3 copies of Donkey Kong Country 2 and 4 copies of Donkey Kong Country 3, among other games....
 
Anyone know if their GC has some fighting games for Gameboy/GBC? Like Street Fighter or King of Fighters. Mine doesn't so if any of your guys' does pick them up for me and I'll pay the $5 plus shipping and stuff.
 
went today to the fullerton store on yorba linda

Marvel vs Capcom Dreamcast disc only
Breath of Fire 3 Disc only
Breath of Fire 4 Disc only
Shining the Holy Ark Saturn disc only
X-men COA Saturn disc only
Grandia 2 Dreamcast disc only

Was really surprised they had Saturn games, it wasn't in the binder and I just happened to ask was really happy to get Shining the Holy Ark.

Fullerton store on Orangethorpe didn't have anything worthwhile, but they did have Steel Battalion controller and game used for $169.99($152 for MVP members).
 
Hey VGM, they had Street Fighter 2 for the Gameboy, but I couldn't find two other titles for me.

I might go back tomorrow and look again to see if any titles jump out at me.
 
Sorry guys, I hate to bump this thread and am really tired, but what is the official end date of this promotion? Or is it just until they run out of stock? Thanks in advance.

I.E- An actual date, not just the end of May. Unless of course that means this weekend. But any clarification will do.

I wanted to do one last run to the few GCs in my area, but oh well, wasn't too big of a deal since most were cleaned out but was hoping to find an overlooked gem. Still I did good in this sale with 15 games.
