OMFG!!!! GRAW ch. 2 out!!! ~~Now ony 600 points~~
Well there's always the random booting we get in some rooms, I'm down if you wanna play that long (at least until the CoD2 pack comes out today). Also, if you want to get the helicopter achievement, I can work you into me and Trakan's little scheme ;)
Ok, I always wondered how to get the helicopter one. Are they real helicopters? Or are they refering to the Drones?

They are real helicopters, and they are pissy ones at that.
They are real helicopters, and they are pissy ones at that.
SO that means playing the same co-op level over and over, basically 100 times?

X, Trakan, how long did it take you guys to get the chopper achievement?

Me and my sis (xX ChazyChaz Xx), played one on one, tried for about an hour and we were only able to shoot down about 10 each. Is there a quicker way?
SO that means playing the same co-op level over and over, basically 100 times?
Mmm, not exactly. If you want the achievement sometime today get on Live and message me, I'll make sure you get it within an hour - hour and 1/2 (best I can do). Me and Trakan found THE perfect way for it :)

Ooh I wanna get in on this too. I can be on around 3PM (Pacific Time) or a little earlier than that.

I may try to get on within the next 1-2 hours if your up X. My bros. is playing Oblivion right now, I'll kick him off though if he is still playing in 2 hours.

Wednesday 07.05.06 GRAW 360 Title Update
With the release of Chapter 2 for GRAW, we also released a small Title Update that addressed some network connectivity issues. Additionally, we are working on a follow up Title Update that will address further issues, including ranked games problems, controller options, and some fixes. We are also planning on adding new Achievements for GRAW for players to obtain. Details on this update will be released when the information is finalized.

hey im going to download this baby in a day or two, i wanted to know the exact content it has...the trailer says 11 new maps? are those just the old maps relit? thanks! hope to see you guys online, i used to play GRAW like fucking crazy online, so can't wait to get back into it >_

Does anybody think the maps will ever drop in price? I have been playing this game a lot lately online, however, I don't know if I will play it enough to justify spending about 15 bucks on it. (1600pts at 20-5)

I'd be suprised if there is a price drop on it. But some other game dropped the price on its content a few days ago so there is always a chance. But don't hold your breath.

And for the record it WAS worth the $15 back when the content first came out. But months later I am not so sure, unless you have at least 3-4 people to play with.

I'm avoiding buying any of this extra content. The cost is way too high in my opinion. There are still people playing original content though the numbers have dwindled quite a bit. I'm guessing people like me simply just stopped playing

New achievements? That's a way to keep old games fresh in people's minds.

I wish this game would have a damn price drop already.
do a lot of people play this extra content online?
I am still playing with the original maps (like MVP828), and I also haven't had trouble finding games to play online. I do notice however a good deal of games I try join in on are using the new packs.

Does anyone know if you can earn the Co-Op achievements (4 of them) online? A couple of friends of mine and I are going to play some GRAW tonight, and I was just curious.

I also want to add, I find it annoying playing Team Elimination when your entire team does not have headsets.

New patch details:

CA = Christian Allen, Lead Multiplayer Designer
HT = HangtownSOG, Ghost Recon US Community Manager

HT: First of all, why a Multiplayer Title Update?

CA: Since GRAW came out on the Xbox 360, we have been keeping a close eye on the community, monitoring forums, playing games, and seeing what issues have cropped up. Because GRAW is so popular on Live (recently hitting #1 on the 360), we felt it was important to make sure that we addressed issues that players were having, and to support the community of GRAW players who are enjoying the game every day.

HT: Will we get new maps or weapons with this update? How much will it cost?

CA: The Title Update is focused on functionality and game improvements, and aside from new Achievements, doesn’t include content like a Downloadable Content package does. The Title Update will be free for all users, and will automatically install when you connect to Live.

HT: GRAW was released in March and it is now September. Why now are we just getting a title update? And how come Chapter 2 was released before the update?

CA: Actually, you have already gotten one Title Update. When Chapter 2 was released, a small title update was released that addressed some network connectivity issues. But to your point, we are addressing a whole host of issues, many of which did not surface until after the game had been released and hundreds of thousands of Live games had been played. These include ranked games abuses and the like that were not apparent in the first days after launch. By waiting a while and gathering information before finalizing the content of the Multiplayer Title Update, we are better able to give gamers what they want, and make sure that we include some issues that weren’t immediately apparent. Also, we are doing an extensive amount of testing on this update to ensure that it does not introduce new problems. Often, you may see games that rush out updates, only to have to do more updates to fix problems introduced by the past one. We wanted to avoid that situation, and release one large comprehensive update to improve the game for players.

HT: When should we expect to see this TU up on Xbox Live?

CA: The content of the Title Update is currently complete, and is in final testing at Red Storm. We will then go through a submission and testing phase with Microsoft. We expect it to be available in September.

HT: What is the biggest change gamers should expect to see post TU launch?

CA: There are a whole host of changes that we are implementing, and if you have a look at the list I think you will be excited. Network stability, new quick match search options, matchmaking, ranked games, and some glitch fixes are just a start of the list of things we are improving. Also, I think one of the key things is that we now will only display player ranks in ranked games. I have heard a lot of players who did not care about rankings, they only want to play good games with their buddies, but felt compelled to “rank up” so they did not look like “newbs” in Player Matches. Now, you only need to worry about rank if that is the kind of game you want to play.

HT: New achievements are cool, but why no Achievements for Chapter 2? I heard these new ones were for Chapter 2, but according to this, they aren’t.

CA: When we released the game, we did originally plan for the new achievements to be for Chapter 2. However, once it was decided that the Chapter 2 content would be premium, we felt it was important to make the new achievements available to all GRAW players.

HT: The Assassin Achievement looks cool, but how can I get it if no one has it?

CA: Getting the Assassin Achievement is simple; find an opponent with the Achievement and kill them in a Team or Solo match! As to who will get it first, you will just have to wait and see. ?

HT: What happens if I get the Title Update and want to play with someone who doesn’t have the Title Update?

CA: All players will be required to get the title update to log into games, as is standard with updates. If you are going to a LAN party offline, either everyone has to have the update or not. You cannot “mix-and-match.”

HT: I see in the details list that the MP leaderboards and gamer scores will be reset…what’s up with that?

CA: We have made a LOT of changes to ranked games, including some tweaks to the ranking system to reduce boosting, and to the way the rules are set up to make games fairer and reduce people “stacking” games. We felt that with changes to the rules for ranked games, it was important for everyone to start out at a level playing field. I know that some gamers won’t be happy with this, but I think that overall it will be a good thing for the community.

HT: Oh yeah also…when can we expect the next GRAW? ?

CA: If I told you…well, you know the line. ?

Assassin achievement sounds exactly like the one found in Small Arms. This is sweet. Hopefully we can get a lot of people going again in this game.

Good news for the fans of GR. I don't even know why we all quit playing it completely, but if this game gets any more play time, it will be between now and November.

Same. Had no interest since I haven't had much time with the singleplayer OR multiplayer anyway. Will probably grab it now.

This is good news though. I hope we see more of this for games that are approaching that 9-12 month old mark.
