Almost everyone in the GGT plays fighting games any of you guys actually attend tournaments or go to EVO?
I would go to EVO if I wasn't poor.

Just to watch though cuz I'd get bodied and that's not fun.

Jimbo is going to evo and competing, I believe.

What drama?
There's where UFGT was this weekend and where all this twitter drama started from.
Yep. And I actually considered going because it was an hour and 40 or so from here. But I didn't.

One of the small dogs got beat up again because the people here don't understand that they can't hang out with the big dog without that happening.

Of course we're not going to take him to a vet. We're Mexican.

Played a bunch of Uncharted 3 tonight, stopped at the start of Chapter 10. Liking it a lot, though I seem to be dying more than in UC2. The part with having to snipe a bunch of dudes shooting rockets at you particularly sucked, as have most of the run away/chase sections as that's a lot of trial and error BS.

Played a good bit in 3D, it's very well done. Switched to 2D after a couple hours as my eyes were getting tired and the 3D glasses that came with my TV aren't very comfortable. Need to steal some Real D 3D ones next time I catch something in 3D at the theater as those are more comfy and I think they'll work with passive 3D TVs like mine.

Who's dog got beat up?
I grabbed Zelda Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons on the 3DS eshop--both are on sale for $4.99 apiece through June 20th.

I played through one on the GB Player for Gamecube years back--I think it was Ages, but I'm not sure. But never got around to playing much of the other one.
Good stuff, I bought them this morning before I went to sleep, I love those games. Now I have those, Links Awakening, The first 2, Minish Cap, and OoT on my 3DS. It's awesome :D
She totally has that Pokemon Yellow GameBoy Color edition.

Not that I would know because I don't watch her videos.
I had the Silver Pokemon one, and it had a clear purple case covering it, was pretty intense
Duke Nukem Forever started on the Quake II engine. Think about that.
And the new CoD is still using a modified Quake 3 Arena engine....think about that :O

I ruined some of the Bioshock Infinite story when I was like halfway through it by looking up something about it that was unrelated to what got spoiled...but people like leaving spoiler happy comments, it sucks when that happens for something you were otherwise playing through or looking forward to. Granted, it seems like you did it more on purpose and I didn't....but yeah :/ I don't think I'll be getting Last of Us myself though, at least not for a while if I do.

EDIT: Speaking of Bioshock Infinite, I actually just beat it and wanted to add even though
Elizabeth being Bookers daughter
is what got ruined for me, I actually still really enjoyed the ending and how they went through all of that stuff at the end, I see how some people got confused and parts of it were strange to me as well but I liked it overall. One of the random thoughts I had was
even with all of that stuff that was happening at the end, if Elizabeth knew she was going to disappear and kill of the Comstock Bookers, you would think maybe she would go to Paris for a little bit before doing it just because it's something she always wanted to do, but that's not really anything major just something I thought. I also liked how the AD on his hand was for her real name the whole time.

What I didn't like was finding 79/80 Voxophones on my own without a guide, I didn't max any of the collectible types but really....I missed ONE the whole play through :'(

Also started and finished Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers last night. Odd little game. The mechanics have a lot of potential, but the game needs a bit more polish. I also think it would work better as strict puzzle stages rather than as long adventure-y levels.

I'm now playing Transformers Prime on the 3DS, I'm not sure why, it's not bad but its geared a little more towards kids. It's really short and I'm on the last level so I guess I should just finish it. It's just funny sometimes I start playing a game and think 1. Why did I buy this? 2. Why am I playing this?
yeah I kinda wanted the big boss camo one
I actually ended up getting that and the Peace Walker LE from a lowball here a few years back. I'm getting buried with that thing.

I went to a few in Atlanta. Final Round's fun, but I think I like having the stream between me and that community most of the time.

I've never been but would like to at least once. No time for it currently.

Minish Cap is on the 3DS eShop?

I played through and beat that on Wii U and felt the same way, it wasn't terrible and since it was wasn't long it was worth a playthrough at least.

Unfortunately not, they still haven't released any GBA games normally, it was one of the 10 GBA games from the Ambassador program.

How much did you pay?

Well I beat Bioshock Infinite and Metal Gear Rising recently since I'm trying to get through some of the (I have a lot :/) single player games that I have sitting around, the next one I think I'm going to attempt is one of the not as good ones so I don't go through all of them right away and I think it's going to be NeverDead, I got it back when it was cheaper then 10 bucks during Black Friday or such and one of my friends kept bugging me to play it so I'm finally going to give it a try...oh boy!

It does suck, but happens. I think the only time it has bothered me was when I was playing Red Dead Redemption. A friend of mine spoiled the ending for "fun." -_-

Bioshock: Infinite was indeed a great game. I don't think I even got nearly as many voxophones as you did. Collectibles can suck sometimes. :(

So gaiz, #progamers #lolno #gunsanddubstep

LOL, league of legends. I still cannot believe these dota clones actually became "popular" or "mainstream". I remember playing first dota mod on warcraft 3, and thought it was overrate. Now they actually have a whole tournament based on it.

I'm really anxious to play Bioshock Infinite, but have too much in the backlog to justify picking it up for the $40+ it's been going for.

Need to clear out some more games, or have it hit $30 or under, before I can justify picking it up.

you can get it preowned at gamestop for $27 with the b-day 20% preowned- coupon. I dislike the two previous bioshock games, so i doubt i will be picking it up until it drops to $15 or below.

Hi, everyone! I missed you! Sorry for not coming to Skype last night. Was more than a little busy with other stuff. Anyways, I'll be around tonight if any of you'd like to talk.

Tough it out, XII is great. Make sure you notch the battle speed to max in the config options, and that you aren't using the battle menu during combat. A lot of people try to play it like a vanilla FF and it becomes really frustrating.
I'm giving Final Fantasy XII another shot. Seven hours in. Screw you, new games.
The combat and exploration were good, but the world/story/sidequests/characters/special weapon bullshit never "clicked" for me. 1 great character, 1-2 tolerable, and the rest are forgettable at best.

Indeed. Nothing like sitting on the same old shit for ages. No reason to upgrade.

Bingo. XII is great, just gotta open your mind a little and go with it.

I spent 87 hours or so on it, was working on legendary hunts when I stopped.

You didn't miss me though, did you? :p

Combat was what swayed me from 12 the first time, but it's because I was being closed-minded about them taking by turn-based battles away. I was just a bitch about it, which is silly because the team that worked on it are among my favorites in gaming history. I lose it for the art, music and production in this game, and I forgot how gorgeous it really is.

I mean, they fucking hand-animated Balthier's sleeves flapping in the wind. There's always something moving. The way they handled character textures is amazing, and the environments are pretty much higher fidelity spins on Vagrant Story. Shit's way too good.

As for the combat, I'm definitely warming to it now. The format was largely foreign to me, but I actually think Xenoblade Chronicles got me acclimatized. I'm looking forward to really sinking my teeth into it. I needed a good RPG timesink.

I never could get that into XII myself but I never gave it that big of a chance I guess, the combat never clicked for me (same with Xenoblade, although I liked that game) and I also couldn't get as into the characters. It's one of the games that I want to try again and have thought about doing it but I just have so many games to go through right now that I'm not sure when, and if that's ever actually going to happen.
Indeed. Nothing like sitting on the same old shit for ages. No reason to upgrade.

I've never been huge about CoD myself but I agree that with the money they can make there is no reason for them to use a different engine, obviously the fans are happy with it and that's all the matters.
