This sounds a bit fanboyish in it's own right.
The premise of that thread was hilarious in it's own right, but some of the responses are just golden.
I was quite amused by the "XBONE is a crime" as well as (1) the notion of being guilty if you unplug it and (2) the idea that it would fuse to your electrical outlet preventing you from (1).
Based on what I've seen, MS didn't come out of the initial reveal in a good light and it's going to come down to all the promises they've made to show GAMES and the like at E3 as well as the clarification of things such as the DRM policies for the console.
As gamers, we should all want them to do something amazing at e3 and be disappointed when they don't.

I'm not gonna lie and say there haven't been any funny jokes made about the X1, because I do agree with you on that, but it just seems like so many of the people just don't know what they are talking about/are band wagoners that just read one thing (that may not even be true) and follow it like nothing else matters. Unfortunately, it's a lot worse right now then it is when most systems get announced/come out and I understand a lot of it has to do with the DRM and the used games and such but it's really just putting a bad taste in my mouth about the people that will end up buying a PS4 and that whole community right now.
That said, I agree with your last statement 100%. I actually want to see great things from Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo during E3 and want to have a reason to purchase/get all of the systems eventually (granted I already have a Wii U). Honestly right now with what we know I'm looking forward to the things Nintendo is going to show the most, because even though we know what almost all of their games are already, I basically want every single one of their games they've been talking about lately. But at the same time, going into that Sony/Microsoft conferences and learning about the unexpected is equally as exciting, all I know is I will be watching as much of the E3 conferences/Nintendo Directs as I can during that time and have freed up my schedule so that I can hopefully get all/most of it.
What I said definitely sounds a bit fanboyish but in reality all I want is healthy competition in the industry. I generally have the disposable income for any console that has the games to show for it, so I would like to think I've grown past being a standard console fanboy.
Basically I agree with most of what MoCiWe said.
