[OOS for now] Amazon DotD 12/21 - Fire Pro Wrestling Returns (PS2) -$5

it does get a while to get into if you never played a FP wrestling game, for grapples the timing also needs to be exact.

Also I'm trying to acquire a flash drive for PS2 to download new CAW, but heard it doesn't work with slim ps2s?

Haven't played this one yet (it's sitting under the tree) but this is by far the greatest wrestling series of all-time. It takes a bit to get use to the mechanics (as you have to work it like a real wrestling match instead of like every other wrestling game) but man is it a deep game. Oh and don't expect any thing revolutionary on graphics as the series really hasn't evolved in that aspect since PSX days. And frankly, its the best $5 plus shipping that you will ever spend if you like wrestling games

Goddamn, I'm tempted to buy another few copies so I can give them to friends so they can know the joys and depth this game has.
 
Those are some good scores there, and yes I do like wrestling... Oh, what the hell... I'm in for one (or two, makes an awesome stocking stuffer). Thanks you guys. :D
 
As I mentioned in the thread earlier today, when I bought the game at $8, I cannot be bothered with wrestling today. Lost complete interest in it a long time ago. But considering the rep this series has, coupled with the community that stands behind it, was enough for me to bite, especially at such a low price for a brand new game.
 
does anyone the time frame in which amazon will price adjust? I ordered this on 11/23 so it hasn't quite been 30 days yet.Just not sure if there policy is 14 or 30 days and I couldn't find it when searchnig the help section.

edit: nvm,goggle is better at helping me find info about amazon than amazon itself is!!!

Everyone, buy this game! Support the series! Even if you have no interest in wrestling, you should try it! I've always found great wrestling games to be fun even when I had no interest in the sport.

Try looking in pawn shops... I've found plenty going for around $50 in my area.
 
Haha damn. I ordered this earlier tonight for $8 and just went to check the status of my order and ended up seeing a bunch of stuff my parents had bought for christmas. Looks like I'm getting Rock Band, would have been a nice suprise since I had no idea.
 
$5 must resist..
might not even able to able to play this considering i have to get new ps2 a/v or component cables because my current ones dont work very well...:bomb:
 
Yeah, if you have any interest in wrestling at all, this is a great game. People swear by it. One of those gems of Japanese gaming.

Anyway, where do these Amazon Deals of the Day things come from? Different from Gold Box evidently, right? I check the Gold Box and Lightning Deals every day, but where are the deals of the day? They always seem to have great video game prices.
 
Just bought it with a Xbox mag sub (with disc) for just under $25 shipped.

I figured I'd give my current copy to my nephew for Xmas and this will proceed to be my own copy once it arrives. Just have to support this game and get it out there to as many people as possible so word spreads and sales figures rise. I hope Spike gets the ball rolling with a new FPW game soon...with a simultanious release in the states.

I transferred an ECW save to mine. Very simple, just load a save onto a thumb drive, put it in your PS3, and transfer it over.

Set up a nice ECW ring and set it to RVD vs. Jerry Lynn.. it was an awesome match. Here's the edit/save I have:

They didn't raise the price - it's out of stock from Amazon now and is being offered by Target for $14.99. Here's hoping they show up in-stock again at $5...
