Update.

A new edition. Hellsing is now $17. Backordered on site but may be in store. Go get them.

Look Boss! The Link! The Link!

Found this in store today and I did a triple take.

Gunparade March Complete Collection in LE Tin - $22.99

It retails for $80 so that's 75% off. Anime on DVD gave the series a B average.

Double Otaku Alert!!!

Shawn at Rightstuf found a smal batch of the LE Escaflowne Boxes at a supplier.

Escaflowne Limited Edition TV DVD Box Set (Hyb) + Toy - $60

This set includes the complete series plus a toy. Less than $50 remaining.

Bah! I can't believed I missed this - and I've been on CAG since about 5 PM. Must've taken my eye off the prize.

Great find though, Ackbar!

According to AOD these two also got marked down at bestbuy, a look on the website confirms this.

Mirage of Blaze boxset: $26.99
Dai-Guard: Collection brick: $19.99

thanx picked up those as well

The Best Buy Deals were updated on DVDpricesearch.com today.

Burn Up is $10 (I would skip. Only fifty minutes.)
Seraphin Call is $12 (Anime On DVD gave this C's for content)
Saber Marionette R is $6. (I would get this.)

gunparade is an average anime series, the tin is decent, but the series fairly forgettable.

Has anyone seen Mirage of Blaze?
is it the same price instore?
Yes, it is.

Also, if I recall Best Buy now has these Movie DVD gift cards. Sorta like the GGC but not as good. I believe you have to buy two DVD movies that are each individually worth $15 with the gift card and you'll get $2 off your ttoal. So in a sense you have to spend a minimum of $30 to save $2.

I've never used them before but If I get Dai-Guard and Mirage of Blaze I may try it. Hey, it's two dollars I can save for doing nothing.

I haven't but AOD gave it good B+ reviews and I was intrigued by this paragraph.

"There’s just something very captivating about this show, even though I quickly lose track of who is who, especially with those who look similar. Avoiding the trap of having everyone be really cute and young looking and instead going for more normal looking and properly framed people, the show really works well in adopting the dark atmosphere and mixing the past with the present. There is just a level of pure creepiness that comes through a lot of time, especially when combined with the very subtle incidental music."

For $23 I'll give it a try. Best Buy on 28th in Grand Rapids, MI had a few left, so I grabbed one today. Thanks for the notice on this!

Thanks for the heads up OP. With my employee discount I nabbed Mirage of Blaze and Dai-Guard for just $32. I now own more anime than any reasonably normal man should...

I didn't expect your employee discount would save so much. You basically shaved off another 30%. My sister is an employee but she said she doesn't get much of a discount for dvd's so I didn't bother.. If I knew it would have been that much I would have got her to buy them.

I ended up paying $51 for Mirage, Dai-Guard, and Saber Marionett R.

Been wanting the Escaflowne set for a while now even orderd it once from Rightstuf but they cancelled it on me hopefully some of them will pop up on Ebay soon for under 120.

Best Buy in Cutler Ridge Fl. has one Gunparade set in store, Best Buy in Dadeland has 2 left as well, for any Miami CAGs

Well, my order for Gunparade March was cancelled yesterday and the price on the website is back up to $62.99. :(

Anyone actually have their order go through?

Yep, got it in the mail yesterday

Hell, I went to Best Buy and remembered about Gunparade. They had one copy left for $22.99. I guess I got lucky.

While I was there I managed to get Eiken, Devil Hunter Yohko Complete, and Stripperella Season 1 too.

You might want to consider getting Yohko from Right stuf.

Both discs are on clearance for $9. And even then I personally would only get the first one.

How much didja drop for the Yohko?
$30.99

I found out that Overstock has the complete set for $17.71 though...

I was gonna mention that, I didnt know if Best Buy maybe had 2 versions of it. Still, a nice set to have. I have always liked yokho, granted I still have a hard time listening to it in english. I am so used to my ADV subbed VHS tapes.

Actually for the overstock price just get the whole set and call it a day. :D

Yeah, I would have done that but Best Buy is an hour away for me and I actually wasn't looking to buy anything in particular. They had only one copy of Yohko left so I got it since I was already there. I usually just buy anime from Overstock because they almost always have the best prices.

I still have a subtitled Yohko VHS somewhere myself. One of the first anime tapes I recall buying.

I'm not going to order it until I check the local stores first. Gonna sneak out of work in a couple minutes to hunt around. If I can't find it I'll place an order.

Edit: Nobody had it in stock. But according to their system they're supposed to be getting a shipment in stock at the beginning of next month. I placed an online order and if that fails hopefully my Sister who works at BB will be able to grab one when/if it comes in.

that hellsing price is insane, insane i tells you

bb is practically paying you to take it (and a solid series to boot)
Don't thank me. Thank http://dvdpricesearch.com
Well, I'm going to thank you anyway. I ordered it, even though it is backordered. I will probably check a local BB or two as well, but these things never show up as in-stock for my zipcode, even when the stores have them.

Anyone know if this is the true Hellsing box set as picture here on animenation for $112? If so this is a damn steal andI will definately snag it.

That Hellsing deal tempted me on price alone, but then I remembered that Hellsing was a mediocre show with a budget that obviously plummeted for the last half of the series. Darn it, I really wanted to spend that $20, too...

Damn that's a great price, too bad I already own it.

The first 2 discs are spectacular but the last 2 were crap. I still say it's still worth $20 anyways.

Anybody's order status not showing anything at all? I'm trying to cancel my order cause all of a sudden the Hellsing box is showing in stock at all my local stores and I'd rather pick it up tomorrow. Hopefully by tomorrow morning will the orders past and present show up.

That's strange. Now that my order is showing again, it's no longer in stock in any of my local stores?
