TFN all snazzed up with a blond wig.

Once I play through the few PS3 games I want to play, and Blu Ray players go down in price, this PS3 has got to go. It's too damn loud. My 360 was NEVER this loud before. I have to turn the TV way up just hear dialogue.

I'll trade you my Blu-Ray player for it, plus some Blu-Gays.
Anyone watch the extended cut of Pineapple Express? Any good?
I watched that shit many moons ago.

There's a reason they were originally cut. :whistle2:|
My PS3 is quiet. I dunno wtf is up with yours.
60GB = 90nm GPU/90nm CPU, older tech, POS
40GB = 65nm GPU/90nm CPU, newer tech, POS

I could tell a big difference from my 20GB compared to my 40 gig.

I have, like, 5 fans in my computer. It's whisper quiet. I turn my 60gb PS3 on, you can hear through the whole house.

What's the point of buying 1UP if you're going to fire the people that make the site and piss off the whole userbase?

I don't get it.

Dang, thanks.

I find it annoying when those extended DVD cuts are compiled with no tact or consideration for pacing, I was hoping it'd be an exception.

It's their way of getting rid of the better competition.

People are always laid off in big mergers. There are people who do the same thing; you don't need the extra. They take what they need, leave the rest to rot, and there's one less competitor for them.

...Does Hearst own anything other than that UGO website that would consider 1UP competition?

Because I've never heard of that before today.

The reason Wombat was hired was because they want to make moves to become a serious player in the gaming industry.

Yeah, but big company mergers that consist of a bunch of people who sit in cubicles who get laid off is a little different than this, where the people being laid off are personalities, not just workers.

If they've got so much money that they can purchase a company for the sole purpose of killing it off, why not allow it to flourish and make more money off of it?

Bad business decision.

Blame the recession, it's easier that way :whee:

Keeping the company in tact, or doing what they did?

If the former, I don't see how buying a company, destroying it, then hoping your other company achieves the level of success that the first company achieved is smarter than just buying your competition and leaving it at that.

Unless they're just assholes.

Doing what they did.

Smart move would have been to buy them, keep everything the same.

But, they weren't making money, so something was wrong. I'm not sure the solution.

There's like nothing on Blu-Gay that I want to Netflix. :|

Guess I'll catch up on the last season of Lost before the new one premieres.

Well, I think you have to look at something like the ugo blog and be like, why the hell are we paying people to repost what's already on 1UP (and Kotaku and Joystiq)
