Great title. Do I play this or Zelda as my first single-player experience on the Wii?
That's what I'm wondering. I'm leaning towards this for a small warm up...then 9999999999 hours with Zelda.

I'm disappointed that this is just a remake of the DS game and not a sequel. I still plan on getting it though. With the option of different difficulty settings maybe I'll be able to beat it this time around.

TC shipped a day earlier for me than Zelda, so I may be playing this first. Though with the family around, Wii Sports will probably be my first Wii game (multi-player).

Either way, I can't wait, I'm almost as excited for this game as I am Zelda. And by almost I mean... not really, but still very excited.

Also someone mentioned it's possible to do an unofficial two-player mode, where one player plays a nurse with the nunchuck (as that's how you control selection of tools) and the other player is the doctor with just the wiimote. Not sure how well that will work, but might be fun.

Me too, but I'll take it, since I no longer own a DS. I'm glad they released another one though...shows good faith in the franchise. I think we might get a real sequel!

If they do a sequel they need to put in co-op surgery and DS/Wii connectivity. You could do a simple procedure on the Wii then have it move onto the DS for more precise movements.

I am very excited to play this game. I loved it for the DS, and believe it will have a pretty different feel on the Wii making it seem like a new game. I have it pre-ordered at my local GameCrazy, I got an automated call that they got it in, but nobody from the store called me to come pick it up. Oh well, I am getting my Wii from Amazon with free shipping, so I probably won't see it for 10 more days anyway. In any case I hope we see alot of support and buyers for this game to show the company that we would be fully willing to purchase a sequal.

From what I understand, it was Atlus USA's best selling game last year, and as of this moment it's their 3rd best selling game ever...which translates to us (hopefully) looking forward to support of the franchise in the future. :)

And yea, I'm really excited about this. One of the best things about the original was that it really did feel like one of the first games to put the DS' unique interface to the test in a cool way...and it looks like this one is going to do that exact same thing again on Wii.

I really love playing Trauma center for the ds I got it a few days after it's release and it was fun, but sometimes hard I still got through it after trying alot.

I will probably buy this on launch day with either rayman or redsteel.(i'm leaning towards rayman for the wacky stuff) hopefully this does good and they make a sequal to the story I'll still need to beat the ds. >.

Trauma Center was one of the most infuriating games i've ever played, and one of the most satisfying and rewarding games to beat. Shit review, but I think the DS got one a shitty review too. So poo on them :bouncy: .

This game is fucking awesome. I haven't played the DS version in a while though... does this completely replace that version of the game?

Unless you play your DS on the go, then yeah. I like choosing the instruments with the analog stick a lot. very very intuitive.

I like pulling out glass from people's lungs. Very stylish.
Alright you convincing bastards, I'm gonna start TC. Can't think of what I want to play, and this is the surest bet.
Where else can you play a game that's accurately described as "passionate surgery?" You need to play this. Now. Don't reply to this -- just go. Play it.

I may end up picking this one up yet... but I got pretty pissed off at the DS version after a while. It went from decent difficulty to insanely hard in a heartbeat, no pun intended.

I suck (got C's on the first two sugeries on Easy), but it controls like a dream. Only thing that messed me up is you really need to drop stuff directly on the tray, not on top of it or anything.

The Wii version has an easy setting and the difficulty is supposedly more balanced this time around (at least, that's what Gamespot's Greg Kasavin said on On the Spot last week.)

Yeah, I'm actually going to start on the Hard setting, since the improvements and balanced difficulty supposedly make that one closer to what the Normal difficulty was in the DS version.

I got the C's on normal. I even went back, did everything perfectly...C. ?

great game though. between this, Zelda and Wiisports, this system is pretty sweet.

I like this much better then the DS version. The DS version is great and all.. but this controls much better and the easy setting make things more enjoyable LOL :)

 passionate surgery indeed. I forgot how dramatic it is. Angie is dialed!

btw, anyone get to the first mission with the new girl yet? I think it's called mission Z-1. I do everything fine, then I have no idea how to reset the ulna (or w/e bone that is.) I grab it the tweezers, move it all around, can't find the right spot.

I continue to get Cs, but damn if this isn't a better game on the Wii. Any thoughts? Seems to me that it's much more intuitive in general. Even when you lose the accuracy that you get from touching the screen, the Wii is forgiving enough to allow for that. And everything else just seems better.

whew, finally got through the Z mission. It was kinda ridiculous since there's hardly any way to figure it out on your own.

Here's the solution, since I'm sure some will be looking for it:
to set the ulna in place, pull it down a little, twist your wiimote to the side, then push the analog in any direction. and when you put the bones back, you can twist the wiimote to orient them correctly

so far the game is a blast. very challenging.

My daughter absolutely loves to watch me play this game. She sits on the edge of her seat, constantly yelling "Hurry, hurry, he's going to die!"

She'll then give me advice like telling me that I'm using the wrong tool or that I'm putting foreign objects onto the wrong tray. The sad thing is sometimes she's right.

Best launch game?

Haven't played Zelda yet, but man, if it's better than this, I can't see how anyone can pass up this system as soon as they can find one.

Just finished the first chapter (including Z-1, which was awesome). I actually got a B on one of the surgeries, somehow. Everything else was a C.

It a great game. I never got the DS version since I could never find a deal on it so I figured this was a good buy. And damn I love it. It's crazy how they don't tell you waht to do and your forced to figure the stuff out on your own.

I got an A on the last operation I did (the first GUILT operation)... that felt good. This game is insanely fun though... I loved Trauma Center on the DS, but wow. This is just.... way, way, way better than I expected.

This is literally driving me crazy... I'm at school until 1:50 tomorrow and my Wii's at home. Ah well, at least I have break to play the hell out of TC.

I haven't played TC yet.... been kinda waiting on beating the DS version to start TC on the Wii. I've only got a couple more surgeries left on the DS Version, then I'm good to go.

Glad to hear that everyone's been enjoying it so far though!

Man, just throw the DS version away (or sell it.) The Wii version's a remake and it's better in absolutely every way. It's so damned fun that the DS version is devalued... completely.

My friend can't find this game in any store. Do you think Atlus made a small print of the game? I know it could just be sold out because it's a good game, but he was able to find a copy of Zelda easily.

I got my copy from TRU. Every other store I went to didn't have it.
