maybe someone here has an answer. So my old room mate moved out and the gas and electric bills are in her name still, I need to go get them transferred over to my name. Should be wham bam thank you ma'am, but I hear something about having to pay deposit. Which sounds like total bullshit. No connection needs to be established, just put the shit in my name.

The only thing I can come up with is the 2 people I have talked to really have no line of credit. So could it just be a deal like when I got internet hooked up in here? People where saying there was gonna have to be a deposit to be paid, but they run my name, and because I'm young male and white no deposit was needed to be paid.
Depends on the company and what the service is dude.
Some install techs are just lazy and so are the CSRs -- I had an account with Time Warner for god knows how long before someone realized I'd never paid a deposit as I was upgrading my DVR box -- deposit was charged to me in the next bill.

However, I can say I've never personally had to have a deposit with a power company -- my mother, however, needed a deposit, because the gas was on site in a tank and not via line, hence the deposit was for the tank... so I guess it depends on your company and what services you're turning on exactly.

One thing to note is that it's never a fucking cakewalk with the power companies -- I needed to open a new account whenever I changed addresses... so that's one thing to consider -- they won't switch anything likely, it'll be a new account instead.
Why not use two round stones for grinding?
Same concept, but this method is a little messier than the one you can purchase for 6 dollas.
Really?

You're so 2004 wubb
LP = OnTHB | wow = OTHB

Then be a man and use your fists as grinding stones!

that's all I'm worried about. I mean nothing needs to be done, just put it in my name. But if they try making me open a new account and pay a deposit, that's some bull sheet right there.
God, TMK's post make me want to punch my monitor.

What it do? Got Persona 4, now I need to go to Office Depot to buy a keyboard. :whee:
Are you actually playing it on your computer?
Hey Wubb,

Your broken 360, was that the newer falcon chipset or the original?
Newer falcon. Barely 6 months old. Treated with kid gloves.

I even put the thing on a stand all by itself so it could get as much air flow as possible.

:nottalking:

FALCON FALCON FALCON!!

(Too much Halo 3 -- this was the machine's way of protesting.)
I uploaded some pictures into my photo album at CAG. Unfortunately, the pictures of me are private and only friends can see it. I even posted a picture of myself that no one at CAG has ever seen (It's exclusive to my buddies). It was a picture of me as a kid. I uploaded a picture of my setup (contains the Bulls bedding) and within an hour, I'm removing the Bulls bedding forever) and I'll take a pic of it.
God, get over yourself dickbutt.
Are you actually playing it on your computer?
No. P4 and the keyboard are two separate things. Looks like the new keyboard is working!

I had to put like a $200 deposit when getting the electricity turned on when I first moved into my house. I was refunded it after two years.

Bad credit?

Thats awful! I wonder what the failure rate on those is. I recently bought a new Elite for the family room...same thing, on a shelf on it's own. Dust it almost daily. I'm scared now.

I'll pray for a speedy return!
Dirty, crowded, overpriced, offensive, cesspool -- these all are applicable to NYC.
True true.
Loved of all of that grime though.

Yeah LP, I went to the top of the Empire and the Rockefeller buildings.

My uncle-in-law there is actually kind of a bigwig.
His clients include the owners of those two buildings so I went up via private elevator.
Got to tour NBC studios and eat at the Rainbow Room for free.

^what he said^

I mean they don't have to turn nothing on, it is on! Just run my name see I have good credit and let it be. Guess I'll see in a few hours.

Any chance your ex-roomate is cool with you keeping it under the same name? That way you could just continue the payments and you wouldn't have to pay the BS deposit.

LP, google the sentence if you want the skinny on the reference. (It's pretty obscure so I'm impressed anyone picked up on it at all.)

Why thank you #83. It's a breath of fresh air to deal with an OTTer of your quality. What with the meanie mandunces polluting our threads.

My plan for today is to get my 3 star rank on Mario Kart! :whee:

It'll either happen today or tomorrow. Just 3 more cups to go.

Then I'd like to get some decent time trial times posted. Started with Mushroom Gorge and I'm having a bitch of a time with my bike overshooting or stutter jumping on one of the mushrooms over the course of the race and taking a spill.

I feel like the biggest asshole for posting this, but someone would have done it eventually...
:nottalking:
I got nothin' but love for ya, Mana, but that shit is hilarious and very ironic.
