I know someone else already posted about getting PREY cheap, but there needs to be a thread to tally up all of the discounted prices because there are some ridiculous deals I just found and it will take a combined effort to scan all of Circuit City's games. Anyways, I have just purchased:

A few questions were arising that I thought everyone knew. But I will help clarify here just in case.
  • All prices listed below are 50% off. That means, what you see listed below should be what you pay for that game.
  • NEVER believe the sticker price on Circuit City games. If you feel doubtful have the employee/cashier PRICE CHECK the game.
  • Your mileage may vary (YMMV). For example, we know that Sam & Max price checks for 24.99, but a fellow CAG was able to find one that had a sticker price of 19.99, so he/she was able to pick it up for 10.00. Same with someone else and a Deluxe version of Battlefield. Use your best judgment in obtaining a game not on this list.
  • If you do purchase a game, please list the game and price. This way, the list can be updated.
  • Good luck fellow CAGs.

Dropped by CC and found Stalker and Defcon. I passed on both since I decided I need to save some money. That and my PC backlog is big enough as it is. I need a new PC.

Star Trek legacy $4.60 (paid 40 bucks for it 2 years ago :bomb: , however the modding community is huge for this game!)

TC Splinter Cell: DA $2.62 (paid 15 for it during the CompUSA close out a few months back)

Sword of the stars $8.50

$32.26 out the door. I was hoping for TR:A but it was 24.99, so I am guessing all 29.99 and higher are now 5 dollars off :(

Oh anyone thinking of skipping out on Defcon, well don't. Its a great 2-d game with lots of mods for it. Well worth the price if you can still find it.
 
Dang, there are a ton of games that I would buy at those prices! But my CC has the worst PC section I've ever seen. Absolute lousy selection and tons of old games still marked at $50. I'm not sure whether it's worth a trip or not...
 
Can anyone give info on which Galactic Civilizations games are ringing up cheap? I had one scanned and it rang up full price, but I really want GC2!

The thread title should probably list the actual details of the sale, namely "50% off all PC games $19.99 and under." Not that it really matters since there's only one more day left.

So this even applies to games marked $39.99? I called my closest CC and they have Stalker at that price. Just want to be sure before I head over there.
 
it depends, its just that sometimes the game has sat on the shelf for awhile so they havent remarked the game.

you should really price check all the games you want.

I think I got the attention of the employees when I started stacking 7+ games in my arms :p

Looking foward to more people's hauls to see if I shoul go back and pick up the games I thought might be on sale, like dungeon seige 2, silverfall,the last medal of honor, cnc tiberium wars etc.. They had an Xcom double pack that I should have gotten price checkeed, it was 2 of the newer Xcom games bundled into one.

Nice! mine didnt have the splinter cell though, had quake and rainbow six but I didnt really like them on the 360 so didnt really want to take the chance.

Doom is also for cheaps, as well as, diablo 2 regular edition.

I had to go to two circuit cities before I found good deals.
 
If anyone sees CSS please let me know, I might be interested in buying it, but I don't have any CC's near me.

EDIT: Oh and SC:DA as well.
 
Picked up Stalker and Diablo 2: LOD for $10 each. Very happy.
I may go back if the Dark Messiah LE box is also $5ish.

I'm a long time watcher but first time poster.

My lunchtime haul to CC included:

Railroads ($4)
Stalker ($10)
RE4 ($10)
Spellforce 2 ($4) - been looking for this, was really excited to find it on the cheap
Darwinia ($1.40)
Call of Juarez ($5)

not bad if you ask me...

This is VERY well timed, since I just bought parts for a PC upgrade. I think picking up STALKER, Call of Juarez and Darwinia (someone mentioned this was on sale, but not how much) are a must for me. Battlefield 2142 maybe, as well as maybe Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

i got a laptop last summer and its the first computer i had that i had the money to get pimped out. finally i can enjoy some good pc games with the best graphics.
 
I just picked it up, I'm pretty sure it was 3.50 or 4.50.

I grabbed:

LOTR: BFME
LOTR: BFME2

Both were under $5 each.

As well as:

C&C Generals Deluxe $10
C&C Collection $10

May check back tomorrow morning if other games pop up that meet my interests. The Battlefield 2 collection scanned at $40 for me. Maybe I didn't pick up the right one? If someone sees or picks up an extra BFME: Witch King, I'd be interested, since I grabbed the other two games here...

I JUST saw this thead today and there are about 4 games I wanted that they were sold out of such as Battlefield 1942 pack, Battlfield 2 pack, Battlefield 2142, etc. and they said they don't do rainchecks. :(

that should have read Battlefield 2 *booster packs* collection = $3.50

BF2 DLX (bf2 + sf) and BF2 SF are $4.66. BF2 booster packs is $3.50
so if you can find any of the BF2 titles at your CC you should be able to put together the collection cheaply. that's what i was able to do for $7.16.

No, I wish it was, but it's the one in the big/long orange box with like 5 games. I think I'm going to return it and the Generals collection and just buy the First Decade. It'll be easier than tracking down the random games that the orange collection doesn't provide.

Darwinia is one strange game... I was going to price check DNA but it looked like someone opened the shrink wrap and left the top sticker seal on the box. I have been noticing this quite a bit at my local CC...hmm.

Even if you get it for below 10 or 20 or 30, the First Decade collection is really worth it as you would have had to pay like 50 bucks each when those games came out. For me, CNC is such a great game series that I am glad to pay full price for it.
 
Got Stalker and GW: Nightfall collectors.

Also saw Splinter Cell but the box was beat to hell so I didnt get it.

IL2 Sturmovik might be $10 too. I saw one copy marked $29.99 but two others marked $19.99

And for NYC peeps, the CC on B'way and 80th still has one GW Nightfall Collectors left.

The YYMV games are onesz reported to be manually adjusted, so I dont know if they will ring up for that price for you automatically.
