I know someone else already posted about getting PREY cheap, but there needs to be a thread to tally up all of the discounted prices because there are some ridiculous deals I just found and it will take a combined effort to scan all of Circuit City's games. Anyways, I have just purchased:

  • All prices listed below are 50% off. That means, what you see listed below should be what you pay for that game.
  • NEVER believe the sticker price on Circuit City games. If you feel doubtful have the employee/cashier PRICE CHECK the game.
  • Your mileage may vary (YMMV). For example, we know that Sam & Max price checks for 24.99, but a fellow CAG was able to find one that had a sticker price of 19.99, so he/she was able to pick it up for 10.00. Same with someone else and a Deluxe version of Battlefield. Use your best judgment in obtaining a game not on this list.
  • If you do purchase a game, please list the game and price. This way, the list can be updated.
  • Good luck fellow CAGs.

I enjoy Stalker. It's just a little different, thats all. Like that kid that was different in grade school. You talk to him, hang out, he's not so bad.

I'll totally be unquestionably whoring my CC since NOBODY touched the PC section last time but me from what I could tell.

STALKER is extremely glitchy, but it's not a bad game. I think it really nails the realism and the atmosphere is amazing. The lighting is extremely well done aswell.
I picked it up during this sale, and you're really missing out of you don't try it at least once.

I may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's definitely worth a try.

Yes I liked this game but it does require a higher end machine then listed on the box.
 
Cool, it's listed in this weeks flyer. So I assume we just walk in, and any game that's priced at $20 or less is really half that. I'm going to have to get there this time!
 
With the patches Stalker works perfectly for me so far. I'm loving the game. I'm about half way through. With multiple endings this game is great.

Prey Limited edition was $15 and I passed. I"m going back later today after work to get it now that it's $7.50.
 
I went by last night and picked up Prey LE and Dark Messiah LE. I'll have to go back today and have them adjusted to 50% off. :)

Anyways, if anyone can get me The Ship, Battlefield 2 Deluxe, Battlefield 1942 collection, the EA Warfare Collection, or Guild Wars Nightfall Collector's Edition, I'll make it worth your while.
 
I'm heading out now, but if I can't find one, does anyone have an extra Nightfall CE they'd like to sell? I got two copies last time for myself and my boss, but his son plays, too, and we need one for him.

Also, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was terrible. Worst game purchase I made last year. Nevermind that it required a PC from the future to run while looking ugly as fuck - at least Crysis is pretty for its punishing requirements - but it was simply no fun as you would have to fight multiple opponents with machine guns and x-ray vision with a cruddy pistol and 17 rounds of ammo. I know that someone made a mod that balanced the game to give you a shot, but it was too little, too late. Absolutely no fun in that box. If there was a God code to get thru the particularly unfair parts, that'd be one thing, but there isn't. That some guy had to rewrite the shader code (Float32) to look better and run faster than the devs is a laugh, too.
 
Meh, I ordered Battlefield 2142 for in store pickup, drove out there, and then found out that they only have the Deluxe Edition which is $29.99. And since my order was only for $10 they just refunded my order and didn't give me a gift card :\. Now I feel like ordering 3 copies and going back, getting the $24 gift card, and then buying the deluxe edition for only $6.

City of Villians Collector's Edition, the first cashier was having a hard time finding the price for it, and was going to accept my offer of 10 bucks, but the manager overheard, went over, and typed in a few things, and up popped the price, I think it was around $33.xx if anyone is interested...(sad face)
 
Two questions, if some one could answer them...

1) Is it the same games as last time or have there been some other games marked down that now are 50% off?

2) Is it the same inventory or have some stores been restocked?

There is 0% love for PC games in Meriden, CT. I managed to pick up Call of Juraez, Battle for Middle Earth LOTR, Clive Barker's Jericho (brand new to this 50% off list, rang up $9.xx) and it looks like the same exact PC collection as three weeks ago when I checked. There are still A LOT of cheap titles left there, including Starcraft Battle Chest that I didn't pick up.

If anyone wants to sell me Guild Wars Nightfall shipped PM me.
 
Picked up Rainbow Six: Vegas today. My CC does not have even remotely recent prices on any of their games. RS: V was tagged as $39.99 and I only knew it was $19.99 from the previous sale. Heroes V was marked as $49.99 otherwise I would have picked that up, too, had I known that it was also on the cheap. Company of Heroes was actually tagged at $69.99 (WTF?!?) although I knew that one was on sale, too. What a shitty store.
 
My stores had the same inventory so I think if the titles were not at your local CC last time, they won't be there now. These are closeouts so I don't think they'll restock unless they find some old games in the basement somewhere. I might be wrong though..........Oh yeah, I scored Deus Ex: invisible war for 25 cents (.27 after taxes). There are probably some more hidden gems at CC that just haven't been price checked yet. My local stores are not too keen on scanning stuff for you........

The Monty Python... game or the movie. If it's the game: JESUS! that's like a 12 year old piece of software- there wasn't even a Circuit City when I first picked that up!!!

Anyway, I purchased Resident Evil 4 (pc) today for $10- and it works too, despite systemrequirementslab.com failing my video card!\\:D/

Same here, I went to two today and grabbed random old games seeing if they were on sale. For anyone who cares, City of Villans collectors edition is $33 which is half off the sticker. I tried sam and max at the two CC's but no go at both.
 
Hehe, scrubsy, I posted about the COV CE one page back. Same experience, 33 bucks for it. At first the person scanning it couldn't get the price to come up and was willing to give it to me for 10, but the manager overheard and found the price of the game. =(
 
Oh snap didn't realize GTR was part of it, atleast the newer one with legends that doesn't have starforce, but i heard the older GTR has STARFORCE! So be wary, still a good deal on the newer one.

I did a price check with about 20 games, but ended up getting 4... The other 16 games were 15, 25,30,44ish.

There was this one guy with greyish hair who kept on giving me dirty looks and asked me if I had Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition in my stack. I said no and saw that he was carrying a list from FW and a Hand Drawn LAYOUT map of the store. Creepy.

Anyways that was at the sterling, va location.

I am really starting to think CC is going to push out PC games this year based on this sale :(
 
Half life 2 needs to be added to the list. There were two version I saw, one with HL2, death match. And the other had HL2, death match, counter strike, few other things. I don't know which one is cheaper so you may have to ask.
 
Well, my day was fun... Ordered BF 2142 for in store pickup at one Circuit City... when I got there they didn't have it, so they gave me a $24 gift card (I know they aren't supposed to do this unless the order is $25 or more, but who am I to tell them how to do their job ;-)... besides i did go about 8 miles out of my way to go to this circuit city since that was the only one near me that had 2142 in stock according to cc.com). With that gift card, I bought BF2: Deluxe, Prey CE, Company of Heroes and Darwinia... Net total ~$1.50. Awesome! Thanks OP.

FYI to other DC Metro area CAGs... I did see a couple of copies of Guild Wars: Nightfall CE along with a bunch of other games that are on the clearance list at the Rockville Circuit City... I just tried to restrain myself to stuff I will actually play, and/or stuff that I already have that I want to play online with my friends who are too cheap to buy the games for themselves.
