I know someone else already posted about getting PREY cheap, but there needs to be a thread to tally up all of the discounted prices because there are some ridiculous deals I just found and it will take a combined effort to scan all of Circuit City's games. Anyways, I have just purchased:

edit: Thank you to pcktlnt for making this list alphabetized and coding it for starforce.
To help out my fellow caggers, here is a compiled list of the games that have been listed throughout the entire forum. Do not hate on me if some of the prices may be off, I just copied/pasted. Good luck finding the games. Please, please please please please put the game title and price when you guys list. This way it would help out a lot. ^__^

A few questions were arising that I thought everyone knew. But I will help clarify here just in case.
 • All prices listed below are 50% off. That means, what you see listed below should be what you pay for that game.
 • NEVER believe the sticker price on Circuit City games. If you feel doubtful have the employee/cashier PRICE CHECK the game.
 • Your mileage may vary (YMMV). For example, we know that Sam & Max price checks for 24.99, but a fellow CAG was able to find one that had a sticker price of 19.99, so he/she was able to pick it up for 10.00. Same with someone else and a Deluxe version of Battlefield. Use your best judgment in obtaining a game not on this list.
 • If you do purchase a game, please list the game and price. This way, the list can be updated.
 • Good luck fellow CAGs.
Thank you fellow CAGs for posting your game finds and prices.

Updated PC Game List

List updated as best I can. Can you provide the price and actual title for half-life 2?

I wouldn't mind seeing a trade list. That would be really nice. Could we start it up this week instead, so that we have a chance to purchase and trade. Instead of finding out that someone wanted something and there are tons somewhere else?

well someone did earlier with the last one but it turned into someone's personal trade list thread. Just a general sticky thread for people who want to do fair trades.
Updated CC PC game list

Oh, I see, well that blows. I'm just looking for Guild Wars Collector's, Gothic 3, and Syberia Saga Limited. Sucks that 3 CC's I have been to don't have any of these. I might need to expand my search haha. =(
I still have the GW: Night Fall CE long box from the last run. :whistle2:}
Are you going to keep the game? ^__^
I really don't know. It comes with a soundtrack...and I love gaming soundtracks... People have been wanting it from me since I found the last copy in my area.

lol. I see I see. I guess I'm going to have to try my luck on the CC's that are more than 15 miles away. I have my whole route planned for tomorrow. ^__^

I went there today. I was really hoping The Ship would have miraculously appeared there since the last sale.
I got:
STALKER
Left Behind
Titan Quest
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Titan Quest
Dark Messiah CE

For a little under $30 total.

Some games I got last time that I don't see on the list...

Age of Pirates - $1.00
The Chosen - $8.50
Silverfall - $10.00
Legos Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy - $10.00

I went back and did a return rebuy of my last haul that I had missed the sale on, but figured the prices were low enough. I then promptly sunk that $15 back into CC by grabbing:
STALKER
Prey CE

The CC on Queens Blvd/63rd Drive in Queens still has a ton of Prey:CE, a Darwinia and at least one more copy of STALKER. They seem to be pretty well stocked on a bunch of other titles, but they don't have any more Guild Wars collectors or Dark Messiah.

Gonna check tomorow at work for a few more games. If anyone has any requests pm me with them as I work 2 floors up from a CC. I'll go during lunch and take a peak. If you happen to have available games FT include that too.

Not a whole lot i still need for myself aside from FEAR and the Expansion and Star Trek Legacy all of which should still be in store.
You can get that game for free, here.

http://www.lbgstore.com/

Just thought I would let you know.

I understand that some people don't like Stalker but it is a good game. It is not imbalanced it's RPG like. It tries something different. Think Elder scrolls crossed with Bioshock or something. Not the best analogy but it gives you a good idea.

didn't have a chance to get into my CC today
first thing tomorrow i'll check it out
i got about $70 to blow :p

one i'm looking for most is that Sam and Max Season 1 heh
well someone did earlier with the last one but it turned into someone's personal trade list thread. Just a general sticky thread for people who want to do fair trades.
I hope you don't mean mine.
I tried to make it all official-like, but as I mainly lurk here and don't know who the mods are, I'm not sure how I'd go about asking for it to be stickied. If anyone wants to help me out on that, I'd be grateful.

EDIT: Also, one more title to add to the list (at least for online): Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer. I'm pretty sure it's valid in-store, too, but as I haven't been to my local CC, I can't confirm.

My fellow CAGers, I've been dying to come back and report on my findings. Alas! Here I go.

:D:D:D

* Rayman Raving Rabbids $8.00 (Though, I may return this)
* Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green $5.00

* Blazing Angels 2 $7.50
* Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood $8.00
* Silverfall $8.98
* 18 Wheels of Steel: Haulin $0.42 (YES!!!!)

From my previous haul:
* GTR 2 $2.00 (I returned for the below)
* GTR 2: GOTY $10.00
* GTR:GOTY $2.50
* Rainbow Six: Las Vegas $10.00
* Call of Juarez $5.00
* Flatout 2 $7.50
* Beowulf $10.00
* Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel $1.50

Notes:
* Sam & Max: EP1 definitely doesn't apply
* FEAR Gold and Platinum don't apply
* Company of Heroes CE and GOTY don't apply

Questions:
* I was going to pick up the Harry Potter 4-back, but I FORGOT! Anybody get a price on this?

Today I picked up:

-Sherlock Holmes vs Cthulhu (or whatever)
-Silverfall
-Darwinia
-2x Guild Wars Nightfall Collector's Edition (EBAY HERE WE COME!)
-Darkstar One
-Perimeter: Standalone Expansion
-Dirt: Origin of Species (getting returned)
-The Chosen: Well of Souls (getting returned)

Checked on:

-Some other Lovecraft-inspired adventure game. Was $24, no-go.
-Sam and Max Season 1. $24.
-Europa Universalis 3. $27 or something.

They had a couple copies of STALKER and the HOMM5 expansions, also Prey and some other junk I'm sure was under $20. Wasn't about to buy the HOMM5 expansions when I don't even have HOMM5, and I've already beaten STALKER.

Also saw a combo "RPG" pack of Gothic 3 and Dungeon Lords, basically an RPG outhouse, but didn't bother checking the price on it.

If you really want Gothic 3, go buy this for $30 + shipping. Just make sure you play Gothic 3 first, so you're not hideously disappointed after the jaw-dropping brilliance of the first two.
Good haul for me today, 8 purchases but essentially 14 games to play for $33.53 after taxes:
- Alien Shooter Vengeance - $2.19
- Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth - $6.48
- Dark Messiah: Might and Magic Limited Edition - $4.12
- Deus Ex: Invisible War - $0.25 (lol, can't go wrong with a quarter)
- EA Strategy Collection [Black & White 2 + expansion, LOTR BFME, C&C Generals + Zero Hour) - $2.74
- Heroes of Might & Magic V - $7.50
- Splinter Cell: Double Agen - $3.75
- Wizard's War Chest [Contains Evil Islands, Etherlords, & Etherlords II] $5.00

City of Villians Collector's Edition, the first cashier was having a hard time finding the price for it, and was going to accept my offer of 10 bucks, but the manager overheard, went over, and typed in a few things, and up popped the price, I think it was around $33.xx if anyone is interested...(sad face)
Nice haul! Especially Alien Shooter Vengeance for $2 and change!

Updated CC PC Game List

Dang, you made out like a bandit. Thanks for posting the titles and the game prices. I updated the compiled list. I'll normally try and link when I post, unless I forget.

Thanks Midnight Marauder, there are still some games I wish I can find though. ^__^

Updated CC PC Game List

What is the price on Darkstar One? And the RPG pack was either 34.99 or 39.99 or something lke that, I just remember having it scanned and it was not part of the deal.

Here's my haul today at the CC in Riverside (off of Day St.), So Cal:

-Titan Quest: Immortal Throne - $10
-Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts - $10
-Defcon - $8.50 (I was surprised to see this game on the shelf! I've read good reviews. I can't wait to play it! For those who've played it, what do you think?)

I thought I'd try to PM with the BB across the street. I thought I'd get shot down but the manager read the ad and said any PC game priced $19.99 or lower would be PM'ed to 50% off. Woohoo! Again, this is YMMV. Anyone else had luck with PMing w/ BB?

So here's my haul from BB:

-Titan Quest - $10
-Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War - $10
-Empire Earth 2 (Platinum Edition) - $10

There were plenty more games at $19.99 and below at BB but the six games I got today were the ones I've been waiting to get during a sale like this.

$5 even.

Anyone know if the Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War Platinum pack is < $19.99? It was released at $30 so it might have gotten a drop.
-Defcon - $8.50 (I was surprised to see this game on the shelf! I've read good reviews. I can't wait to play it! For those who've played it, what do you think?)
Defcon is less of a game and more a work of interactive art.

By that I don't mean a patronizing "it's incredible," I literally mean it's not really a game as much as it's interactive art. As a game, it's basically a tower defense clone with a few nuances. As a full product, it's a work of art with a single, overpowering, awful (in both senses of the word) message.

If you end up preferring the game to the message, then it's definitely worth $8.50. If you prefer the message to the game, you'll have a deep respect for what it is and what it does, but you'll only get an hour or two of stunned appreciation before you shelve it for good.

If you're comfortable with the money:hour ratio of a movie theatre, absolutely buy Defcon, it'll last you at least as long as a feature film and is undoubtedly better produced and executed than 95% of theatrical releases.

If you're not comfortable with that ratio, it's harder to recommend. If you're a hardcore gamer, you'll notice the lack of a significant game to back up the significant artistic message. If you're a casual gamer, you'll appreciate the simpler, easy to grasp game, but the art end of it is such a stark contrast to the casual genre (read: it's crushingly heavy and depressing as opposed to the genre's usual lightheartedness) that you'll find it less than joyful to play.

The W40K: DofW Platinum pack was still ringing up at $29.99 at my CC.
Can you clarify for me, if Defcon and DEFCON: Everybody Dies or the same title?
The game I got is DEFCON: Global Nuclear Domination Game. Well, that's what it says on the box.

I'm finding Silverfall quite entertaining for its price. It requires some heavy tweaking and has eternal load times, but I can't see why it got panned by the gaming press. As far as I can tell it's a solid 7.0-7.5 game as long as you can run it. Maybe it was really buggy on release?

If you have any interest in ARPGs and also have a relatively modern computer (like, 1-2 years old), I'd say give it a shot. Some of the art design is truly inspired -- the "Technology" weapons and armor have all sorts of little steampunk touches to them, it's great.

Also I think it's important to point out that several of these games use the Starforce copy protection, (which could explain why they're selling like crap, cough), an insidious, hyper-intrusive, always-on, driver-based protection that can wreak havoc on a handful of unlucky machines and disable things like burning a CD or DVD, or programs like Daemon Tools or Nero on many others.

The ironic thing is, the majority of games protected by Starforce are so bad that they're not even worth pirating.

Think very carefully before you purchase/unwrap/install a Starforce-protected game. For instance, I bought Perimeter: Emporer's Testament because it was cheap and had a sleek, shiny box. I was about to unwrap it tonite when I remembered the Starforce threat, so I looked it up, and lo and behold, Perimeter: Emporer's Testament has Starforce. Now it's going back to Circuit City.

You can find an up-to-date list of games which use Starforce here.

EDIT: Also, anyone know if Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East is on sale?

Showed up at CC only wanting WOW for the boy, and BF 2142 for myself and a friend. Found WOW no problem, but only saw 2 BF 2142 deluxe editions... no regular ones.
I thought it was worth a shot since the sale tag was right above them. Brought it to the customer service check out and yep, it rang up $74 and change. I told the nice girl that it said that they were on sale for 9.99 right next to them. She went back with me to see, then changed the price of both to 9.99!! :bouncy:

I ordered that game, but even if I know about that, it has not scared me. I have been using Starforce enabled software for years now and nothing bad has ever happened to my computer yet.

I agree with what everything you say about Silverfall. It's not quite as polished as Titan Quest, Dungeon Siege, or Diablo II, but it's solid monster-killing/item-collecting/character-leveling action. A good buy for $8.00

The swinging camera and minimap, though, are possibly the worst I've seen in any game.

I agree with you here... Starforce can really screw things up for your system. Heck I can't even burn a cd anymore using the built in windows cd burner software . Nero is borked and so on. However retailers either don't know or just don't care about what type of protection the title carries. So I doubt the sale has anything to do with this. I just removed some starforce drivers and from the time windows loads to the time I can use it has been decreased big time :)

Starforce and Sony's SecureRom don't work well with DVD burners for some reason. Every time I try to play a DVD PC game either of those two things I have some sort of problem. Supposedly running them on a straight DVD read-only drive cures a lot of the instability.
I got Mask of the Betrayer for $10 bucks.

$10.83 after tax in CA

Hey, its $15 off. That's more than 50% off. :)
$10 for Neverwinter Nights 2 mask of the betrayer. That's a must buy. I'm still on the first games single player but I have to get it now.

Oh I forgot to mention, that I am using a dual boot OS XP Home/XP Pro. Home may be borked with Starforce, but I know Pro isn't :) And people think I am wasting space having two OS' Can you imagine how bad it would be if I had to back up 4 hard drives and not able to burn anything at all!?!?
The Monty Python... game or the movie. If it's the game: JESUS! that's like a 12 year old piece of software- there wasn't even a Circuit City when I first picked that up!!!

Anyway, I purchased Resident Evil 4 (pc) today for $10- and it works too, despite systemrequirementslab.com failing my video card!\\:D/
The movie you silly frenchman!

I just realized i have a bit of problem. I picked up BF2: special forces, but i don't have BF2! They didn't have any copies either. Now i have to find it for a decent price somewhere else.
