Any "input lag" is so negligible that I never even noticed it, nor did it affect me negatively while playing the game. I won't argue that it's there or not, but it's so unnoticeable that it's a poor excuse to throw the game under the bus or blame it for one's ability (or lack of) in the game. Or is that just over principle? Either way, didn't notice it, beat every challenge in a reasonable amount of time. Reviewers like to play up minor quibbles.
I'll be honest with you, I went into the game thinking the worst from comments I'd read. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't all bad.

Control may be somewhat subjective and some people may be willing to tolerate certain inaccuracies more than others, but the deficiency is there. It's enough to make the game less than enjoyable for me. You were a bit more forgiving, and that's fine too.

Also, Monster Challenge Circus is on Steam and the dev said they are getting keys to Groupees, I just hope it happens in time for the play first time rewards.

I took a peek at the Outlast rewards.  All very doable with a guide.  One of them has to be done on speed run (win game on insane mode) but you have youtube playthroughs to help.  2 out of 12 are tied to the DLC so I wonder how they are going to split up the money for this one.

It's that time again, kids (those of you who are leftover from the ban-bomb). How to get the War of the Human Tanks rewards.

Easy one, just win the second battle. If you can't handle how much damn dialogue there is between missions in this game, hold enter to skip through it quickly.

Blindfire

This one takes a little longer. View distance in this game is very short, so most units can fire into grid spaces that are "unknown", meaning they can't see if there's an enemy there or not (unless you use recon abilities to check). You'll need to kill 25 enemies by firing into unknown grid spaces to get the achievement. It sounds harder than it is, you should have this one in the bag after a handful of missions (just repeat some of them in free battle).

Thankfully an easy top tier reward! In the very first mission (not the VERY first battle with the infinite-range battery), when you're setting up your tanks, equip a "Pochi" shock tank with the "Daisy Bomb" mod, and place it in the grid space shown in the first picture below, with one command tank placed in the bottom right corner of the map. Start the battle, and as soon as you can use the Pochi, move it to the space shown in the second picture, then use the Daisy Bomb ("Wide-Range Bomb" on the menu), sit back, and watch.

The game is... okay. Combat is just very shallow for an SRPG, and the fact that every unit dies in one hit only makes it feel even more shallow. The story is silly and isn't engaging at all, so there's not much to hold the game up. Dialogue is pretty awful too.

Even our resident squirrel weeaboo thought it was painfully bad, so don't expect much coming into it... Still, it's not the worst weeaboo game I've played, and the cards are always going for a fair bit if you haven't idled it yet.

99 Spirits is next... Wish me luck.

Doing Fireworks gives also 5 blindfires, so repeating it seems like a choice (save before starting mission).

Yup, that probably works just fine. I didn't try doing blindfires, restarting without saving, and doing them over, so I couldn't say. I got them quickly before resorting to that.

Probably the same way they did it for Strike Suit Zero (where 2 of the 12 were also tied to the DLC, this might be a deliberate way to push DLC sales)

Sweet. I already got the first couple, I'll go get the Fireworks one now.

Cheers Big Ears.

Yeah, I looked into it again and it's actually 14 total achievements. 6 are secret, but this being ported to console actually helps it have PLENTY of video walkthroughs and achievement guides since console players tend to be a lot more into 100% their games.

New rewards:

Available until Monday 26 May, 2014 @ 23:59 UTC:

  • Freaking Meatbags - play for the first time - £0.10
  • Imagine Earth - play for the first time - £0.10
  • Project Temporality - play for the first time - £0.10
  • Transistor - play for the first time - £0.10

No achievement rewards got added to any of the games from yesterday that didn't already have them either.

Imagine Earth, Project Temporality and Transistor are definitely not F2P, but Freaking Meatbags hasn't unlocked yet, so I can't say for sure on that one.

Dark Scavenger is listed twice now for "Play for the first time" rewards, so we'll see what happens there.
Dark Scavenger "play for the first time" is tracking double for me (2 rewards of 10 pence each), so I guess my hunch was right. :p

Yup, wouldn't have been able to get through Strike Suit Zero without guides posted by Xbone owners.

They still may have DLC achievement be rewards, as there were plenty of other Strike Suit Zero achievements that don't require DLC that they could have rewarded. Seemed a deliberate push for DLC sales.

Same here. Can't pull trigger on Wolfenstein even thought I'd have more than enough.

Waiting for a price glitch or something over -50%.

(All my Bethesda games so far are from glitches)

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but did anyone else notice playfire rewards are awarded in regionally equivalent currency? Used to be £0.10 = $0.20 but it seems now £0.10 = $0.10.

Really? The value of my credit keeps fluctuating lately, that might explain it.

If that were the case, that would really suck.

I think that might be completely new for today. I got two dark scavenger and one 99 spirits credits today and .30 british bs was just .30 american cents so maybe they did make the change :(

Nope. It's still converted when transfferred to GMG.

Playfire shows incorrectly in balance before it's transfered.

Edit: Honestly they should have pending balance separately.

Well, for what they pay for them, they probably need to squeeze out every last drop of gametime.

Cos they're DRM Free

(Don't blame me, it's a new sale. I'm just the messenger)

Edit: Oh yeah, they're Capsule client huh?

It took a while for me to notice but this isn't a bad deal with the 25% off coupon...

The Bridge (Steam) $9.99 $3.99 - 25% off = $3... has 95p PF Rewards, 10c GMG credit and 4 Trading Cards
Yeah, I was kicking myself for not grabbing it off the Humble Store for $1.50 earlier because they added rewards recently. Hoping to spoder it to avoid paying the double-dip, otherwise I'll cave because SecretSquirrel's review has me sold on it.

Started playing 99 Spirits while Human Tanks downloads, don't think I'll play past Training Day (unless the other one is really easy). Found Telepath was pretty easy, especially in the first area you can do it.

After you strike a billion times but the gem still isn't powered, the fox guy will give you a clue (it's a tool, toy, etc.) which then you just guess based on this list. If you get a toy it is the easiest, as their is only one he mentions that is a toy in that area (how I got it):

(EDIT: The other option is wait til a boss battle, since apparently they rarely change).

Got the Human Tank achievements thought it was an alright game....will beat it and I enjoyed it though it's a bit shallow. The story is just ok though, so much dialogue haha.

I got all but the .25 one. Thanks to Idiotekque for the handy guide - it really made the .50 achievement a cinch.

Personally, it's not something I can see spending much time with. The strategy is kind of shallow and the dialogue is excessive.

My own tip to add: Hold the CTRL button down when you see dialogue and it'll zip you right through to the next battle.

Oh wow, I just realized how hard that boss is.

What level were you before facing him? My attacks do slivers of his HP at this point, and his unblockable attack does 90% or so of mine.
Level 22 (I could've done it earlier but the boss just would've took longer)

I figured the amount of dialogue wouldn't bother too much, but damn no kidding about amount. I started at least trying to read it and gave up and skimmed through after getting to a battle felt like it'd take an hour of reading dialogue (that might not be an exaggeration either).

Surprised you guys did the Woodsman achievement. I was but when I saw it recommended level 30, I couldn't commit to grinding that many levels in a game I was already getting bored with.

I'm liking the game, actually. Great art, interesting concept, nice music, etc. Sadly the battles are reeeeaally repetitive. Not sure if I'm gonna grind for Woodsman or not, but I'm trying.

I HAD to skip past the story after a while. I couldn't take another "BIG BRO!"

By skipping all that, did I miss the tutorial? I had NO idea what I was doing when the actual game started. I'd like to try and get the achievements, but I have no idea what I'm doing.
