Should sell Tropico 4 for ~1€ for someone.

Looks like those two higher value QUBE achievements are SAM-traps because game is broken and crashes before :p

http://steamcommunity.com/app/239430/discussions/0/522728181031302696/

I probably should say this but I'll say anyway: Nice job for $5€ patch.
Do we need to get the Director's cut for the Playfire rewards? Seems that the developers released a "new" version of the game. The achievements for QUBE seem to be the same as the Director's cut.

Really disappointing.

Okay, time for some more rewards. Here's some tips on getting the Chompy Chomp Chomp achievements.

Deathwish

£0.10

Easy one. Just create a battle mode game, set the round time to 5 minutes, and then pick up every poison bottle you see. You can also set the power-up drop rate higher to get this even easier. You're supposed to pick up 5 bottles in one round to get the achievement, but it took me around 10 before the achievement popped up. YMMV I guess.

Purple Bonus

£0.25

Fairly easy as well, just play arcade mode and make it to the second bonus round (really not far into the game). Then proceed to eat every little purple fluffball before time runs out. This isn't mindlessly easy, but easy nonetheless. I got it first try.

Mega Moogy

£0.50

Moogy, not Mooby. This one can be tough. You have to chomp 20 enemies in a row in battle mode, all without getting chomped yourself. There's no easy way to get this, you have to perform well. The first step is understanding how battle mode works. There are 4 monsters, each with a different color, and as you play, you'll get a colored circle beneath your monster. Whatever color that circle is is the color of the monster you need to chomp. Each monster gets one of these, so each monster is going for one other monster, and can only chomp THAT monster. That means you'll always be hunting one monster, and one monster will be hunting you, so you have to juggle offense with defense (staying away from your hunter). The best advice I can give is to set the round at 5 minutes, NO power-ups, and do the sandy pyramid looking level. It's easy to stay away from your hunter here, and that's the focus. You have more than enough time to get 20 chomps, so the priority is staying alive.

The game isn't much to talk about. Really shallow and not that impressive. Just a silly little time waster. I appreciated how quickly the rewards were to get, though.

The purple bonus achievement was the hardest to get for me.. but I kind of suck at the game. I had to retry the arcade mode maybe 8-10 times to get it, so it's definitely not gonna be very easy for everyone.

The other 2 achievements are extremely easy, takes no effort. Having 2 controllers helps a lot though.

DIRTY PIRATE.

(Yeah that'll probably work. Didn't think of that. If you have enough controllers at least.)
That seems like an exploit. If you keep on exploiting the system like that, you'll only ruin the rewards for everyone. Can you not just ask your mom, dad, and maybe a neighbor to come in your room and play with you for a bit? You should really earn the rewards the honest way, IMO.

Not really that hard
There's no easy way to get this
Easy way, along the lines of the Fireworks achievement in War of the Human Tanks where you just stand in a specific spot, use a specific item, and you're done.

I never said it was a hard achievement to get, there's just no "easy button", so to speak. But with the controllers there is, I so I take that back.

Really? I died once on my first arcade attempt because the game froze up for some reason (then unfroze after I died, it was odd), but the very next try I got to the purple bonus round and got it easily. They kind of give you a lot of time to chomp them all, even if you mess up a bit. Did you use a controller?

Yeah I used a controller, and almost every attempt my time ran out. It's possible that you're a lot better at the game than I am, but I expect some others to suck just as much as me so I was putting it out there lol.

I'm still not getting any of the FTP rewards. Not sure why.
Better write up a support ticket.

Seriously though, perhaps it's because F2P games have you make an account and then link that account with Steam. Perhaps that's a necessary step in making the achievements function properly.

Also, you're not banned? That's pretty surprising seeing how people who didn't even talk about using SAM got banned, and you've been one of the most vocal about using it.

I'd get it but ewwwww, other DRM.
I don't think we'll be seeing that one on Steam any time soon. I'm willing to put up with capsule for certain things.

Especially:

Nothing to see here besides an annoying half naked woman who likes to show off her assets. Really...it feels like your playing a hooker. So unless your REALLY INTO HOOKERS and mystery games

No, that's definitely not it--Playfire even detects the achievements. They're shown on the profile page. There just aren't any rewards for the achievements popping up.

Thanks for these...this game really sucks. Played about 5-10 min and I was a broken man. Makes 99 Speartits look Ike Mass Effect.

I've gotten tired enough of waiting for a sale to just pull the trigger on a couple of things...but there's not even a 20% off coupon going right now. Man, so lame. I'm not sure if they'll have another one over the weekend or if it usually takes until Monday.

Two rewards tutorials in one day?! Tower of Guns this time.

Why would you do such a thing?
£0.10
Easy, just jump on hugbots Mario style in the first room. You can soften them up with a gun if it's sorta hard jumping on them. Someone reported having some issues with the achievement popping up, but it worked fine for others, so YMMV I guess.

477470.png

And You Thought Magnetized Loot Was A Good Thing...
£0.25
There's a hard way to do this (the way I did it) and an easy way to do this. Hard way is going through a level normally, making sure not to pick up ANY drop the entire time. This is tough, since there are coins all over the place, cards to level up your gun, health drops, etc, not to mention the very first room has a row of coins that you can only avoid by triple jumping over just right. Louiedog, however, informed me of an easier way, in which you die 4 times or so, then the game will spawn you in a different level that's extremely short, has no enemies, and allows you to skip all the drops. That makes it really easy, but I don't know how often you come across this special level, so make sure to do it right when you have the chance.

477468.png

Yes, Bombots Self-Destructing Counts...
£0.50
The name of this achievement tells you exactly why it's a pain in the ass to get. You have to complete an entire level (the first one, obviously) without ANY enemy dying, besides the boss. Multiple factors make this really, really hard. If you come across ANY room with floating bombots (they glow yellow and red) or the fast ground bombots (plain looking, small, dash around quickly), just quit the level and try again. These guys will ALWAYS explode, and you won't get the achievement. Every level is composed of randomized areas and enemy spawns, so you have to luck into having no bombots spawn to get this achievement. Now if you're lucky enough to get no bombot spawns, you now have to hope that the right boss spawns, because most bosses will spawn enemies who die once the boss dies... so you won't get the achievement if one of those bosses is at the end of the level. You can only get the achievement if the boss is the bull or the wall of spikes. Otherwise you're screwed. This one is tough, but it's mostly luck, so just keep at it.

EDIT: Apparently the bull spawns enemies too. He never did when I fought him, but it's a possibility. I recommend using the Egon's Pride, a machine gun that's unlocked by simply beating the first mission under the "par" time. It's easy to use, fires fast and straight, and does good damage quickly. I always killed the bull boss with it before he could spawn any enemies.

I'll actually play this game some more. It's arcadey, but the gameplay is actually pretty fun. There's lots of new guns and perks to unlock, your weapon levels up and gets stronger and you find mods for it, etc. Seems like a cool little game, definitely worth the dollar I spent on it on IGS before it was Greenlit!

They're waiting for you to pay full price with your pirated credit.

I thought the coupons stopped working with credit anyways, so why wait?

Iirc, SecretSquirrel doesn't either. I have no idea why.

I've never made an account for a F2P game and I've gotten rewards for all of them since April-ish.

I was surprised he wasn't banned too. Either:

A) He's been careful and they can't prove it with his play history

B) There's no actual CAG rat, and everyone getting caught around the same time was a coincidence

C) He's the rat, and wants all the Playfire Rewards for himself.

It's definitely C.

Especially:
Fair enough, but It can't be that bad, right? Or is it bad enough that it would be an automatic aO-rating?

Yeah, I was pissed when I saw they had a new 25% off coupon, but no new 20% off coupon. Not a good sign for GMG going forward.

Yeah, so Blade Kitten rewards are more effort than they're worth. Whoever decides on which achievements shall give rewards, they decided on some of the most ridiculous, time consuming achievements that the game has.

1. Kill 100 enemies by sliding. Slides aren't usually one hit kills. This takes a very long time, and it's only 10p.

2. Beat the game in under 90 minutes. Yeah, the entire game, it's a speedrun achievement for 25p. Need I say more?

3. Beat an entire level without getting damaged. This is REALLY hard. Levels are very long in this game, and enemies block and attack you all the time. This is a fiendishly hard achievement, and apparently the best level to do it on is the final level, which is just fighting the final boss... So again, you have to beat the entire game to get this achievement, basically.

Not even gonna bother. The game is fun, though the platforming physics are not very good, and it all feels a little clunky. The 30 FPS doesn't help that at all... it's choppy as fuck. I really hope the dev patches it soon.

I agree with all this, and sucks that the playfire achievements are annoying. Game isn't worth playing until 60 FPS is patched in. I lucked out and only paid 51 cents after cards though, but I'll wait until there's a patch to keep playing the game.

My guess is D) There really were "trap" rewards and whether somebody got banned is due to whether they hit those but not the requisite lead-ins.

Wow. 4 50 pence rewards? Sweet. Everything adds up to 3.15 GBP which is roughly $5.30. Glad Outlast won seeing as RE4 had nothing close to a sale this past week (neither did CS:GO, but whatever).

Time to get my money back on the game.

It's too bad they don't give rewards for PSN. It's not uncommon for the rewards to be for games I have on one of those systems. Outlast is a good example. :(

Maybe. Generally though I refuse to double-dip, the only exception being I'll always play FPS on PC rather than PSN. Due to this there have been a number I would have played for rewards but they were on the wrong system.

Remember! To truly earn those rewards you need to play the game in the dark and own/borrow a very friendly cat who likes to jump uninvited into people's lap... Now, If you don't piss yourself, quit the game, and/or throw the cat across the room when the invertible happens... You win! :D

I've never made it far into the game... (nor have I thrown my cat) It's really freaking creepy and I'm not sure why the hell I bought it to play on Halloween.

I was playing Outlast the other night via remote play from my bed. Had the headphones plugged in and was totally immersed when the GF woke up and started shaking me with a look of pure terror. She said that someone was in the house and they were screaming downstairs. Guess I forgot to turn off the stereo downstairs so the game sounds were playing through the system. Whoopsy.

Nice little theory to try to save face and pretend like some CAG didn't do it, but no.

I never did any ones that weren't obtainable to a reasonable degree that a fair amount of other people got and I always got the requisite rewards and made sure I had a reasonable amount of playing time in and that the rewards were spaced out and not all at the same moment. I also didn't go nuts with it either like some people did and I did play some of the games. Really I don't see how they could prove I did it at all and I don't think they could. Someone told GMG certain select people were supposed to be cheating at the rewards, which GMG point blank said to Bruticus, and they just took them at their word.

Also If they were banning people from laying traps it would also be all over other boards but it isn't. Nothing about any multiple bannings on Reddit, GAF, Steamgifts, Steam forums etc etc.

Obviously it's someone here that did it who chose an odd selection of people to pick, some of whom are quite infrequent and/or non-offensive posters.

Obviously it's someone here that did it who chose an odd selection of people to pick, some of whom are quite infrequent and/or non-offensive posters.
In that case somebody might have reported the thread, then Playfire looked over a couple pages and just recorded the names of the posters they saw talking about it. That makes more sense than somebody here picking names out of a hat or having a specific grudge or interest in getting certain people banned.

Here's another far fetched theory from you: There's one thing that can make cheating achievements quite obvious in some cases: Leaderboards. :p

eg. Goat Simulator for Flappy

I doubt they'd randomly ban someone unless it's very clear that cheats was used.
