[PC] The Indie Gala Thread

Eh, it's been in two bundles so far, it's bound to turn up in more. The Janus bundle has nothing else going for it.
It's got 3 other games I don't own in it + a multiplayer game that'll go f2p eventually (so 5 total games if you count that). Good enough for me to buy during a happy hour.

Wasn't it just Frithsblessing? I gave him my copy for free.. so he was happy before this bundle lol
No, I wanted it too. So much that so that I'm in the middle of a trade with someone for it :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

I mean, I'm getting a bunch of new games that I wanted this week but that's twice that I've fucked up doing so, so I guess it balances out?

Missing Castle, Ninja Guy, AI War* and Vintage Year. Just spodered Tidalis, so it would have been a +5. 50 cents per game was still too rich for my blood though. Happy Hour here we come.

Wow, this is the 10th bundle AI War has been in, according to ITAD. And somehow I don't have it. I have zero desire for it, but it's impressive to make it into 10 different bundles  that I've skipped.

I only had one game out of the bundle so getting the rest for two bucks seemed worth it to me.

Then I had to enter all those keys and realized how spoiled the one-click buttons had made me.  Sheesh.

Well yeah, they're bundle fodder. That's why we buy them in bundles.

edit: in for 1, probably have an unredeemed Yury, but +5 with a HOG is acceptable.
Usually I don't mind a few bad games in bundles, but a 5/1 ratio is just too much for me to buy.

All the games besides Fat Chicken sound fuck ing terrible.
Eh, Black Viper looks okay, but I agree about the rest.

Ahhhh... some of these actually look interesting to me (mainly Fabula Mortis and Fat Chicken)....what to do...
Find someone with a spare Fat Chicken, unless you really want to go down the indie-multiplayer-only-FPS rabbit hole.

I got Akane for less than a dollar before....so this bundle is less tempting. Fat Chicken looks aight and I still want Yury. Pass though. Luckily at the time Akane cards were selling for close to 20 cents so I earned most of the money to cover it...

Man, I'm not even interested in this for the cards.  I might be excited if Fat Chicken were in a bundle with one or two games I actually wanted.  All the bundle sites have been completely striking out for me for like a month now.  Ironically, since removing my Mooby avatar I only feel myself become more and more like him every day...

Thanks! I don't do multi-player and always forget see if a game offers single-player. Do most multi-player only games at least have bots or something?

So it's true what they say: once you go Moobs, you never go back--because you can't!

Some do, many don't. You have to check the individual descriptions.

The trouble with obscure indie MP-only shooters (and there are a growing number of them) is that the server pops drop to negligible numbers fast (frequently within weeks of release) and you're left with an essentially-unplayable game. Add to that the fact that the devs are usually AWOL, having either moved onto new projects or just generally abandoned the title and it's a very poor incentive to invest in these kinds of games (even a few pennies in a bundle or a few hours of your time).

I was pretty happy with my Fat Chicken and +3 until I saw I had overlooked the fact that Fabula Mortis was MP only. I'm down with any FPS, no matter how bad, but MP only makes me very sad. Oh well. Fat Chicken, +3.

I didn't notice that at first either, but I managed to sell off most of the other repeats so I'm not too bothered by it (couldn't get rid of Yury but I don't expect anyone to want that).

Some of the reviews say you can play with bots, but they're pretty stupid bots.

We should have a CAG session on Fabula Mortis sometime though. It does look like a fun shooter.

After much deliberation I decided to pass.

Fat Chicken looks cute, but from the reviews it's a relatively easy and run of the mill TD game and I already have enough of those.

I think I would maybe bite if Fabula Mortis is guaranteed to be an MP night for CAGs, but from my experience those tend to go:

1.  An hour of everyone logging on, getting ready, DLing installing game.

2.  First match.

3.  Complaining about how much the game sucks.

4.  People slowly leaving to play something else/read the Steam thread.

I'm always there in spirit.
