Depends on the number of entries. For you to have a 1/500 chance of winning there'd have to be a total of 200,000 entries for the bundles (1/500 = 400/200,000). I'd say the odds of even GETTING that many entries isn't good, but you never know.

As for finding the caps...this late in the promotion I'm not sure you COULD get 500 codes from eBay. You sure as hell can't buy that many in stores - here in Michigan, the cheapest I've found regular price anyway is $1.00 a bottle plus our ten cent deposit.

You're probably right. At this point, I want to hold on to a few caps for the two Billy Idol tracks if and when Pepsi gets them working, but I might burn the rest.
 
I'm starting to fear all these vague responses and telling people to contact Microsoft or Sony. It seems you get a different answer and nobody really knows anything. Also starting to fear The Beatles bundle. I was hoping to put all my remaining caps into it, but you can't even choose your system of choice. Can you imagine if it is all random and PS3 users get Wii bundles and vice versa?

The way this promotion has gone, up and down, I would not doubt it.

Even if that does happen, you can always sell the bundle on Amazon or eBay. And can't you go to WalMart and do a no-receipt return/exchange? (Or did they discontinue that?)

I'm a little more worried about them telling people to contact "Playstation" for help. :lol:

Somebody on the official forums is saying "end of this week" for a fix, but I'm not sure where they got that information from - it's a random poster, not a developer. That MIGHT mean that we get a fix combined with an update, or it might just be wishful thinking. At this point, who knows?

The only thing that gives some credence to that is that they've responded to some of the e-mails about Wii points saying that they should have more in by the end of the week (as in, September 4th). Again, though, I'd take any information coming out of Young America with a grain of salt at this point.
 
I got the form letter email response this morning from Young America saying that they'd forward it on to Sony...

So... does anyone actually think they'll fix the PS3 DLC code problem and give us the songs, or does everyone think we're pretty much screwed?

I'm pretty sure the b1g1s are regional. I've bought over 200 pepsis (no, sadly, I'm not kidding) during the promotion and none of them have had b1g1.

Incidentally, I emailed the pepsi/rockband customer service and asked for a replacement code. They declined, but did give me a cap code instead for another chance to win. The email also said I was welcome to give the code to someone who had that system.

Yeah I've only seen the b1g1 ones on the red pepsi rock band caps. Here in Cali, where the caps are all yellow, there aren't any of the b1g1 caps. Funny thing is that the stores here will still take the red b1g1 and allow you to get a free pepsi.

There are also people on the official forums saying that codes people generated for PS3 tracks that didn't work previously (Billy Idol, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, Jet, and maybe a few others) should work now.
 
I, too, can vouch for Billy Idol working on 360. yay!
Now if only my used "Hang You From the Heavens" code could magically give me a second song, lol.

I can confirm this too. I just entered to codes I got for Tom Petty last week, and both just worked for me. Yay!

I was saving two tokens in case I had to re-enter for Tom Petty. I think I am now going to use those on the Dead Weather songs. In both this forum and on the RockBand forums, a lot of people were angry those codes didn't work either. And I mean a lot of people. I wanted to see why everyone wanted those song so badly, so I youtubed the songs. They're not bad at all.

So a lot of people got a different song then they selected. In many cases, those people assumed it was their own mistake, and redeemed again, only to get ANOTHER code for the wrong song. That's why the clamor for those songs was especially loud.

They are, in fact, badass songs though! I still gotta get "Treat Me Like Your Mother" now that it's available. I don't think it's worth fighting for my misused code at this point... the email replies directed me to MICROSOFT technical support and that is guaranteed to be more trouble than it's worth, lol.
 
Just picked up a few 360 songs I had been waiting on. No Wii codes still.

Has anyone played any points today? Are we back to 100% wins or no?
 
if anybody ended up with an extra/unwanted PS3 deadweather code, shoot me a PM and i'll redeem a code for you in exchange. i was gonna get it anyway once it came back up so it's a win-win.

About 2 hours ago I played until I lost and went 26/27. I definitely cannot complain about those kind of numbers.
 
Finally just said "fuck it" and redeemed the rest of my wins yesterday. I was driving myself crazy mulling over which songs to get, so I just went with my gut and picked the ones I was feelin' the most.

All in all I went 84/100, over the course of the entire contest. Thanks to everyone in this thread for helpful info and discussion, it's been a wild ride!
 
If you want to win, I'm telling you that you have to play late at night (like 1 a.m.) Playing at 5 or 9 is going to yield crappy results. I've only lost 3 times playing at 1 a.m.
 
Hmm, still no wii points and looks like there probably won't be any today, kind of lame considering pepsi's tweet and an email I got from customer service saying they should have them back today at the latest.

I did the same today, and finished off a few track packs. I'm still probably going to pick up some codes over the next week, though, so I'm not cleaned out yet. :)

Pepsi said "coming soon" on Twitter, and all of the e-mails I've seen posted by others said "end of the week" - as in, tomorrow. Be patient. :roll:
