If they give you crap at the store about this being valid only for the normal edition then just show them the weekly Ad and the "Limited edition" wording is in the picture!! I bought the last 2 copies in my local store!!!

Yeah, I noticed it was the LE in the ad.

I tried when they fucked up with the "Buy it, get FFXI free" deal, but I didn't want to push my luck, but this is a certain win.

Use at BB would work too, I would think.
 
Argh just got back from cc. Took the LE up to the counter and it rang regular price. Lady at CS said it was because I got the LE. Pointed out the fact that it said LE in the ad. She said that it isn't the LE in the ad. Showed her the picture and she that wasn't the LE pictured. Argh I said screw, figured I'd just go back tomorrow.
 
I had just bought the Xbox 360 Premium for $399.99 and PDO: LE @ Best Buy on Jul 1 for $59.99 so when I saw this topic this morning I ran outside to pick up the Sunday paper, then went over to Best Buy and they gave me the difference of $40.00! I was pretty happy to see this, and thanks to the posters of this topic. While I was there I also picked up Kameo for $19.99 price match. So now I have 2 Xbox 360 games and look forward for more great deals.

This is like the third time i can remember where the LE one was pictured and on sale was the regular. When these places learn there are 2 different versions and stop screwing up. At least hopefully people got good deals of of it.
 
Got LE from CC.

Brought two versions together to the cashier and pointed out the picture on thier printed flyer is LE. A clueless lady clerk just overode it.

I went to 2 CC's today and it is only supposed to be valid on the normal edition.. They gave me problems at both about it so I think your statement is wrong.. Either way I picked up the original version for 20 bucks :).

I picked up kameo, I already got PDZ a few weeks ago from the micro Center thing. I knew I should have waited. Oh well. I hope I like Kameo.

Nothing really, I think people just want it because if you can get it for the same price, why not? This was just $20 used at EB/GS a little while ago, so it doesn't have much resale value if anyone is looking at it for that, and by all accounts the bonus disc with it is pretty worthless. I think the packaging for the LE is a little better though, it has a metal case with a clear plastic cover.

Two limited editions left, I got one and he's going to pick up the other one with my ad.

CSM came over to override and said, "How much are we selling it for?" Friend shows her register where it says $39.99, she says, "Sheesh, they're beating us every week!" Then walks away with head hanging down.

I also picked up Kameo for $19.99 as well.

I don't have a 360 yet, but I will soon enough. :)

Finally!!! Someone took my advice! It was tempting to try and get PD0 LE when I was there getting Kameo a few hours ago, but I should put so much on my credit card that I can't pay off

(Our store is very small we hardly keep anything in our stockroom, and the item she was looking for wouldn't be kept back there. She asked me to retrive the manager and I told here we don't have any once more. I feel proud to have finally turned a customer down. :)

Like I posted in the Circuit City thread...PDZ:LE was mine after PM'ing it at Best Buy..it's not your fault that Circuit City is falsely adversting, by not selling you the LE edition.

Although, it is a decently known chain our particular store happens to be vey small. (Just about the only one in the state)

I woulda thought they had a ton in Jersey? Theres one in Norfolk that you can tell is one of the original stores. That place is so damn cramped. I'm suprised that the employees don't fight over elbow room
 
Went to Best Buy to try to avoid any problems. Manager told me that I had to get the regular one. Showed her that you can see the white text on the box in the ad and I was buying the correct one. Argument over, oh my god I am the winner.

I always PM all this kind of stuff at Wal-Mart. As I said, I have a friend that works there and he usually works on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, so as soon as I get the new ads he knows I'm coming in and will get the same deal with my ad. ;)
 
the LE is really stupid, but i like the case. I find it nicer than the CE Halo 2 case, with nicer graphics.

If you think that was a hassle, just wait till you actually try and play the game and get a load of the level design. The cashier will have been the least of your problems.
