Found via the price tracker - this is $7 cheaper than newegg (and $17 cheaper than Amazon and matches Amazon's BF price). My wife and I have found some entertainment with this little bundle, although the "walking" games get old within the first few days. Still, if you're interested, there you go.

EEERRRAGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is arriving at my house today! I just bought it for $36 from Amazon! The shipping to return it (since it wasn't their fault) and hassle isn't worth the difference to me.

Nice. My wife is a nurse and we've been curious about seeing how much she walks in a given day compared to me, the IT guy.

Going to have to grab this one soon.

Sweet! I can't wait for Personal Trainer: Breathing, or Personal Trainer: Sitting!

Really, guys- even at $20, do you need to pay for something TO TELL YOU HOW TO fucking WALK? It's absolutely ridiculous that people paid/pay for this at $50.

do you guys even know the concept of pedometers and stat tracking? it's not bad for $20, especially with 2 pedometers

Pedometers help some of us stay fit/loose weight. This game tracks our progress over five years and lets us keep up a friendly bet w/ our spouses on who is doing better w/ their exercising.

Not every "video game" has to be about shooting things.

It's actually fascinating to me how much/little we walk.

I also think people who bag on this walk about 20 feet a day so no need to tell them they're sedentary.

ZOMGZ! There's no zombies in this! Fail!!!

My son actually hid my New Balance pedometer last month, so I've been in the market of replacing it. Might seriously consider picking this up...plus having 2 means my wife can have one!

My wife and I went to a Healthy Living expo last month and ended up getting some little pedometers for free. We've been having a blast w/ them for a month (tracking and comparing each other). The only problem is that they're cheaply made and often reset and loose your info for the day. We decided to pick this up as replacements.

If they made a "The Walking Of The Dead" pedometer game akin to The Typing Of The Dead, it'd be an instant buy for me.

Maybe I just don't know how much pedometers cost or something. I was always under the assumption they were like a couple bucks each. And if a game helps you figure how much walking you do/how much it helps, then I guess this is all right.

I'm just saying that if you want to start casually walking to get more fit, you don't need a game to do that. Getting this game will by no means make you skinnier. It may give you tips for how to get skinnier, but there's this wonderful thing called the internet that will tell you those kinds of tips for free.

Bottom line, I won't ever be getting this. For those who can use the games tips, good for you. I won't try and stop you. Just keep in mind that you do NOT need a VIDEO GAME to tell you how to WALK, or stay fit.

this is as much as a game as personal trainer cooking is a game (no game at all)

there are cheap pedometers that only cost a few bucks but they're not pretty reliable. i found the personal trainer walking ones pretty decent to me, probably not totally accurate but it seems to work. there's really nothing game related in this product, it's all just stat tracking. $10 for each pedometer with some fun stat tracking done nintendo style is pretty decent value. but i dont see why the product has to be slammed with negativity because apparently it's a "video game" that tells you how to walk

Thanks for posting this.

We have this and I want to pick up a spare (my son loses his ped--but we keep finding it).

This is a nifty use of the DS. The pedometers are pretty good and it helps you keep your stats.

I've been averaging over 10,000 steps a day!

Yep, this is a pretty awesome deal if you're in the market for it. Obviously, if you don't care about tracking your walking, it's a bad buy-- but so would be buying Madden if you hated football. :p I'm recovering from knee surgery and it's been nice to have a pretty visible (and easy to use) way to track how much I've been walking, be able to compare, and have some more solid data to talk to my physical therapist about.. Sure a generic pedometer and a spreadsheet could do that but as many have said, these pedometers are pretty good (much better than the generic crappy $5 ones that break) and it's all automatic. $20 is a great price (I bought mine at Target for $25 on clearance) for what you get.

Not for everyone but a good deal nonetheless. (and are ANY deals on this site "good for everyone"?)

Personal trainer walking was free with a dsi purchase in early January at Best Buy. They had a Mario software bundle there. So win win. The only reason my wife takes animal crossing out of her ds is to check her daily steps. These can be attached to a keyring or placed in a purse so its pretty casual.

I'll be making the trip to best buy tomorrow... Been looking at this and been needed a good way to track my steps throughout the day and at work for my workout journal.

Like everything you can pay a wide range of prices. I lost quite a bit of weight using a pedometer that I bought in the past that cost me $50. Although you can definitely find cheaper ones that go for closer to $10. Personally to get two and have the software to keep the statistics, I think this is a deal at $20. I've been hunting them at Target clearances, waiting to find one for $25 so I'm sold on this price.

I don't need a video game to tell me how to walk or stay fit? Wow dude, that's fucking genius. You come up with that all by yourself?

Pedometers range from $10-$100 and some do more than figuring out how much you walk.

This is CAG, where games motivate even the laziest of people to get out of the house just to look for deals. Some people need this type of incentive and friendly competition to get themselves going.

Don't think of it as a video game. Think of it as motivation, which for some people is what's really needed as opposed to say a well-planned out weekly training schedule.

I run on a regular basis, but I'm not going to condescend to people for getting this or say things like "this isn't REAL exercise, you know." What works for you (internet-based exercise) may not work for the people in this thread. And, just based on some of the replies here, it CAN be a game (between 2 people) rather than a serious take on exercising.

And, yes, I'll be buying this for the niece and nephew so that they can see that exercise, at whatever amount and in whatever form, can be fun - just like video games. ;)

You said it much nicer than I did. :)

The key is to not be condescending like Jackieboy. If this pedometer gets people to walk more or if the Wii Fit gets people to expend an additional 200 calories a day, then it's good for everyone involved, including the naysayers. A reduction in obesity can only help the country. So I'm all for any kind of exercise for everyone.

My local Best Buy has them in stock. I might just go and pick one up tonight. And there is nothing wrong with exercise for those bitching that "This ain't no game!"
