ZOMG I can't in' wait. I mean, we knew for sure this was coming out ever since Capcom held that contest for fans to show how much they wanted the third game to come over...
Probably the last of the GBA ports, but so what? They're new to us and *awesome*. Best news I've heard all week -- thanks, Scorch!

Why would they have a listing for it already, if they haven't even ported it over yet in Japan?
Gyakuten Saiban 3 came out in Japan on GBA 3 years ago. I don't know if they're putting them on DS in Japan.. if they are, I have no answer for your question.

That's what is confusing, I don't think retailers typically list a Japanese game before it's even released in Japan.
I can only assume that we're getting the port of Gyakuten Saiban 3 first. Perhaps the DS ports didn't sell nearly enough to warrant a release there? Whatever the case may be, I'm ecstatic.
Edit: I wonder how long until GameSpot/Joystiq/Kotaku and the other sites pick up on this?
I was under the impression that Capcom Japan had no plans to port Gyakuten Saiban 3 to DS, thereby forcing Capcom USA to port and translate the game themselves and release it as Phoenix Wright 3.
Why would they have a listing for it already, if they haven't even ported it over yet in Japan?
Listings have been showing up before Japanese anouncements, especially lately. RE4 and Ace Combat come to mind. Capcom is having a Gamer Day on the 12th, so I am betting PW3 will be announced then.

You must have heard wrong, because that doesn't make sense.

Also, the big push right now is for 4. It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to take away some of that push to pimp a remake of 3 which is geared more towards a foreign audience.

Also, like I said earlier, Capcom's Gamer Day is on the 12th, and as Cheapy mentioned, GS4 releases on the 12th. It's probably just a coincidence, but maybe they do plan to announce GS3 DS on GS4's release day.
Someone jacked my pictures and ran to gonintendo.com. I need to learn to watermark my pictures.
It links back to your Court-Records post. Unless someone signed up there using your name.

I'm just saying that I haven't seen Capcom Japan express any interest in porting Gyakuten Saiban 3 to DS whereas Capcom USA seems gung ho about the idea. Capcom Japan's disinterest is what "doesn't make sense" to me. If I've just been out of the loop and there was a confirmation of a GS3 DS, I'd appreciate a heads-up.
I don't really expect this to get rereleased in Japan at this point. With 4 on its way, there's no reason to release 3. I'm not entirely sure why they even put GS2 on DS in Japan, other than to try to double-dip, since there were no enhancements like in the original remake.
Maybe I'm just upset because I recently finished case 3 on JFA.
I hate that ing clown!

Don't EVER insult Moe!! He is the uber overlord of PW, did you not catch his FRESH PRINCE OF BEL-AIR reference? That automatically pushed him into legendary status, everything else just made him even cooler.
PW4 comes out this week in Japan.
It's #1 on Amazon Japan
Sadly, no English option.

thats too bad, i was really hoping for an english option like the first 2

that was the only funny part with moe. in my opinion though, pw2 is a much weaker game than the original, so hopefully 3 is at least better than 2, if not 1.
Excellent. Can always use more PW.

Money. If they're porting something it in America, there is no reason not to release it in Japan.

I couldn't agree more on all accounts. I just started 3 today, so we'll see how that goes, but I'm much more excited about GS 4. The new characters will take some getting used to, but the DS enhancements were great in the first remake, and hopefully they will be even better in this game since it was designed from the ground up for DS.
I can't wait for the US release of PW3. Hopefully they will include a new DS case like in the first one since this is the last game with Phoenix as the main character.
I'm kind of excited about PW4 since the DS case in the first game was fun, but I'm not too happy about new characters. I did see Emma in the trailer though, which is pretty cool.
