Valentine's Day went pretty well.

In other news, one of my co-workers thinks I'm insane, after discussing politics with me for about 15 minutes.
Did you tell them you don't like Ron Paul? It seems everyone around here wants to circle jerk to him.
No, I asked when it gets fun. That's not yes or no. You might as well of said book.
No you didn't.
I played Dead Rising for about 30 minutes. At one point does it become fun?
No. As in, no, it does not become fun at one point.
Did you tell them you don't like Ron Paul? It seems everyone around here wants to circle jerk to him.
I like some of Ron Paul's ideas, but I think he'd implement them terribly and do more harm than good.

I'm more or less libertarian, which she (she's a super-liberal: she got a PhD in something environmental) can't understand/accept at all.
Rocko or Zew (or anyone who has played NMH), how many Beam Katanas are in the game?
I believe there's four counting the original.

Dinner was awesome (because I made it)
Desert was awesome (because I made it)

How is everyone else's night goin??
Holy shit.

First boss in Lost Odyssey squashed me to pieces! This is fucked up. :[
Party arrangement.

Yeah, I moved Jansen and Seth to the back and kept Kaim up front since he does the most damage, but I still got squashed.

Like this:

-start out with full life-
-change formation-
-wait for the enemy to attack before formation-
-250 damage on everybody-
-seth moves to the back-
-attack for 80 or so w/ kaim + seth/jansen healing-
-boss poison attack for 200-
-kaim dead-
-revive kaim + heal-
... and its downhill from there. Guess I just wasn't expecting it and now I need to be more careful.

2/3 ain't bad.
Damn.
The ranked 2 match in No More Heroes has killed me twice. :/
Is that Bad Girl?

Do a lot of dark stepping, and get the fuck away when she falls down. I didn't have any difficulty with it.

Bad Girl was cake compared to Shinobu.

That bitch hit me with her one hit kill so many times.

Bad Girl only got me with the one hit kill once.

Yeah, I had no idea about the one hit kill thing.
Easy as pie now that I know about it.
At first I thought it was by just hitting her, but then I found it you could die from even standing close to her.

Zew, can you confirm how many beam katanas there are?
So far I have had Bloody Berry, Tsubaki+all upgrades and 1 more. Is there another one?

Yeah. I think I died four times.

Once by Shinobu, once by Bad Girl's OHKO.

Spoilers for JFD.

Once jumping your bike over the bridge since I hit B instead of Z, and once from Henry's OHKO.

I got this part of HL2's EP1 that I'm stumped on.

Part 4, after the elevator ride. You squash some bugs with cars, then there's a huge fire, and you have to do some physics puzzle with a long pipe to shut off the gas. I have no freaking clue how to get up there. The pipe drops to much no matter what I try. I even found the slab of concrete to put on there, but it still doesn't keep me up.

Be clever. Put the milk crate UNDER the board.

There's definitely four.

Original, Tsubaki, MK-II, and MK-III.

Stat class tonight was a waste of time. What's the point of showing us how to do things, and just follow it up with "I'm not testing you on it and you'll always have access to a computer to do it for you"?
Two s's in dessert. It's also stressed, backwards.
Look at this $$$$a, coming in the OTT and dropping knowledge.

This was always my argument in HS. When in the real world won't you have access to a computer/the internet/a calculator/etc. Being able to find accurate and relevant information quickly is far more important than memorization.

So you know it, comes to mind.

Why do calculus without a calculator? Or math by hand?

I agree and disagree.

On one hand, I did a year of math without a calculator (by choice), because I knew that it would improve my skills, and I would have to be able to do math quickly. I still can. But I always had a calculator nearby if there was something that required it (mainly square roots)

On the other hand, being able to do math quickly has got me very little in life, other than perhaps being the only person who can calculate a tip in 2 seconds without a calculator, or doing really well on the GRE math (basically the SAT for grad school) which doesn't allow one. Neither is that necessary in my field, the same with all the science crap I learned in HS. I have never needed to know a particular isotope or anything ever.

You're in film though, right? I can't see math being used too much in that field. ;)

Math is everywhere though, and everyone should have at least the ability to do a fair amount in their heads.
Yogurt?
Most definitely.

Everyone in the class should know how to do it. Except maybe for the occasional Education grad student.

Rather than ask us to complete it and learn by practice (for those who don't know how to do an independent T test by hand), she just decides to give us the numbers without actually figuring them out or showing how to figure them out. Then just fills in the answer and says "As you can see. It's the same number I gave you on the hand out. But it doesn't matter because you're not being tested on it. And you won't be without SPSS in academia. Go home"

Most definitely.
I am, but I'm interested in being a producer, which is more the business end of things (pitching and securing funding) so there are some #s involved.

But there are a TON of majors that require almost no math, nearly anything in the arts/humanities/social sciences.
Ah, new Shippuuden is out. I'll watch that later tonight.
Need more mangas.

The anime is boresville.

Wait, so she didn't teach it?
Calculators for the win.
Only sometimes. Go take liberal arts math.

Man, I was just looking at eBay for kicks, and some of that stuff is so attractive, I may have to break down and start using it. If I could get some EMG 81's for

WTF is up with these school shootings as of late?!
The one posted the other day was like in a ghetto area (I think) so it's to be expected,

But still. Jeeze. This is why I'm happy to sit at home and sulk in my own filth.
Next year, $$$$atron.
I took Algebra in college, after taking Calc my senior year in HS. I had a 100 average.
