Yep, looks like an instant classic, good for Sony and the PS4.

As for remasters, at first glance it would appear that these are being used to fill the void of the missing mid tier developers like THQ, where we might have a Saints Row or Darksiders, we now get a remaster of a previous gen gem. But then I read an article comparing remasters on the 360 to remasters now and there were actually more ports / remasters at this same point in the 360 lifecycle than there are now, though with the 2 Batman games and DMC4 being announced today I think it's getting dangerously close..

Anyway, I don't mind them, especially in the case of Final Fantasy Type-0, which I didn't play on the PSP. Also with GTA5 I think most knew it was going to get ported, and if you could wait you got rewarded for doing so.

 
I dont know of I consider stuff like Type 0, Tearaway or Gravity Rush coming over from handhelds to console the same as a game getting remastered from last gen to current gen.

Some of the Remasters arent really just remasters though if you look it it. DMC, Last of us, Sleeping Dogs, Tomb Raider were more "GOTY/complete" editions that they ported over to current gen as well.

 
im ok with tearaway and gravity rush ps4 ports cuz frankly i think handhelds are dumb and i have no personal use for them. im glad i will get to play those 2 well received games on my ps4.

you should never trade in your ps3 for a ps4 near ps4 launch. thats just fucking dumb. if anything keep the ps3 around just for the free ps+ games. thats what im doing. im holding out hope stick of truth will come out on ps+ cuz thats one of the last ps3 games i still want to play.

So to be fair, I think there are some other quality games on the PS4 as well, they're just not marketed as well.

Question here:

Can the PS4 automatically download stuff in your queue from the OFF state? I know it works from STANDBY, but wondering if I can set it up to download when completely powered down, but still plugged into both AC and Ethernet.

I don't think so. That's what standby is for? What do you have against Rest Mode?
 
I just picked up the GOTY, and Borderlands. Next week we have MLB 15!!! Great time to be a ps4 gamer!! :bouncy:

Is bloodborne worth it now while I'm on vacation or should I try and finish some of the games i haven't had time to play or the inclination to do so?  

 
My Playstation Symbols PS4 faceplate arrived. It's actually really nice looking. Might put the system vertical so it can be seen better. It was available on the Sony Store site for about a week before they had the Blog Post about it. After the Blog Post it instantly was sold out. Will post pics later tonight after I get home.

I hope they do more simplistic designs like that, they actually look good. The game-centric ones they've done so far look tacky to me and create a weird juxtaposition of styles.

I agree. I'd much rather have either colored ones or logo ones. The game ones just seem a little too much.

If I was good at art and modding, I'd take the original faceplate and make a custom one. I think if you cut out a pattern and used some LEDs underneath it'd look sweet.

Agreed. As someone that owns both the PS4 and Xbox One, Microsoft has been steadily delivering updates on a monthly basis, yet I still prefer the PS4. It seems the PS4 updates are taking longer to come out, but they seem to have more meat on them.

This is kind of a odd reason. Maybe the games selection or better hardware, "bigger updates" is a new one for me.

 
He probably means the substance of the update and the Xbox One OS at launch was missing a lot of common things that should have been there in the first place. Same thing with the PS3 during launch when compared to the 360.

Now that theres a beta program Im hoping they'll pump them out quicker. We're still missing a few key features.

I wasn't saying the updates were why I prefer the PS4.

Was also pointing out how some people might think the PS4 is behind in features and such do to the fact they have only had a handful of updates. Where on the Xbox One it's a monthly thing. The Xbox gets more updates, but the PS4 gets less updates with more to them.

Me too, my hard drive is almost full but I've been holding off installing my 2tb one cause I would lose a few phantoms. It would be awesome if we could keep them, even if we cant I'll have to bite the bullet and switch it out.

 
Talking about harddrives has anyone had a weird issue in fifa 15 online where arena is laggy but game is fine? I had a similar problem on mordor once where it was unplayable until i powered off console completely. Kinda worried about ot being a hd issue

What are these phantoms? Is it something you cannot save to the cloud first?

 
I just encountered a glitch in Borderlands 2.  I was looting a box and I couldn't move.  So I had to quit to the main menu.  The annoying thing is that it didn't save where I was so I might be thinking of trading it in if it happens again.  

 
Im such a noob that i didnt know i was supposed to die to that werewolf in bloodborne and for some reason couldnt figure out how to get out of that courtyard. Need to try again tommorow

Only thing left is being able to change your psn id. I understand why they want to limit it, but you can make a japanese account and change the thing as often as you'd like with uncensored words. Or just make an account for each email address if you want to "troll" people.

It seems a little ridiculous that an id needs to be the same across multiple generations of systems.

I agree with you. But I also think it's kind of like your name in an ecosystem. It makes sense on both sides really. I could see why people would want a different name, but I could also see why some people would want the same name acrossed the board.

Don't think they announced a time. The last update hit early in the AM, I think 6-7am EST, if I remember correctly. I would be worried about issues with the update, like the last one. But it sounds like with the update being in beta, hopefully those issues are fixed.

Yeah I am a little worried about the issues from the last one, but I'm also excited about the features coming lol.

Pretty sure it's part of being a Playstation MVP, but that's unconfirmed. There's a form to fill out to be an MVP. It just seems like a lot of info just to maybe be in a preview program. I'm a huge fan of the whole Playstation brand and I can't seem to get myself to fill out the form.

Not a fan of this, now the above bar looks oddly spaced, and my games bar is now cluttered with the store icon, PS Now icon and PS Video icon which is separate from the other video services icon. Oh well it's just nitpicking, not really that big of a deal I spose.

I did enjoy going through and removing all my 0% trophies, was pretty surprised at how many I had. I wish they would have let you remove games up to 5% though, could have really done some cleaning.
