Free until tomorrow night:

PS Vita: Need for Speed: Most Wanted

PS3: Mirrors Edge

PS4:  Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare

Overall I thought the keynote was pretty good. DrawnToDeath looks good but they should have saved the Uncharted gameplay till the end. uncharted looks super good. And holy shit Shu is playable in Super Time Force! I thought Shawn layden did much better then he did at E3.

I thought it was good too. If you had your expectations in check then you should have not been disappointed. UC4 look really good to me, although I think it was a little heavy on the platforming in the beginning. Im still not sold on The Order however, the gameplay looked really bland. I love all the indies that were shown with The Forest being the highlight for me. Now have to see if I can get one of those liminted ps4s.

I thought it was a great show overall. I really liked all the Indie support they were showing and I saw a lot of great looking games I'll be keeping an eye on.  It was also nice to see the Vita getting more Indie support as those kind of games are keeping the platform alive.

I liked everything they showed off from a first-party perspective. One thing that I might have missed is more Journey PS4 information. I thought it was supposed to come before 2015 so unless I missed something I'm surprised they didn't talk about it.

Some thoughts from the third-parties.

-Square Enix continues to be a massive troll. They really trolled everyone expecting a remade FF7 and instead we're just getting a port of the PC version. I'm going to buy it, but I got my hopes up for something bigger.

-EA's announcement was shit as I expected. Free Plants vs Zombies is awesome, but I wanted to see a game from them since they have a lot of interesting things in the workshop at the moment (Battlefront 3, Mass Effect, Mirrors Edge, etc).

-The Yakuza 5 announcement was great. I haven't played the series before, but I've heard they're great games and I know a lot of people were hoping for it to get localized.

People in attendance who got a golden wrist band will be able to order the 20th Anniversary PS4 at the event. It's going to be sold by lottery in Japan on the Japanese Sony Store website. No word yet on the USA, but it looks like it will probably be a lottery as well.

If that's the case, then if anyone here gets it would be well served applying for a Sony Credit Card. You get $100 off your first order.

Sadly ea is kissing ms butt at this point for allowing access on xbone. I will I'm happy plants is free on ps4 it's my pick for best overall fps game of the year .

They have nothing at all. I believe their marketing manager said they had nothing to show at the VGA's which was pretty clearly shown by their lack of attendance. It seems like they won't show or announce anything on E3 rolls around which isn't a good approach to be taking.

fucking SE with that troll SMH...The show was solid, but ended on a low note for me, I was expecting something bigger for the closing. I still have faith in The Order even though a lot of people seem to hate it lol That being said I cant wait for UC4!!!

Does xbox have a thing like this? After that showing I think xbox needs a response
Used to have one a few years back, just don't remember the name.

Personally feel like not much was shown. UC4 and Drawn to Death look great though.

Good show. Was boring at first than it got really good, than SquareEnix trolled us with FFVII. I was so hyped when I saw that logo...

I'm liking how battles seem to be more... open now. Or that might just a few battles, and the game itself, is a bit more open with this installment.

In case anybody is a fan of the series its been confirmed that Sony's Santa Monica studio is working on a new God of War game. Going off information on GAF the game has been in production for at least a year and a half so perhaps we'll see it at E3.

I'm kinda iffy on a new GoW... I mean, I loved all of the games, with the exception of the Ascension which felt really tacked on. I can't imagine what they're gonna do for the story but I get the feeling that Kratos is gonna be revived and we're gonna re-play certain events to change history.

Ah well... I didn't get one of the 20th Anniversary Playstation 4 consoles. It's probably for the best since I already have a PS4.
I didn't get one either but honestly, I only wanted that cool box.

how fast did the 20th anv systems sell out?

just seen highest bid for one is 15.1 k on ebay
The website was hammered which made it nearly impossible to check out, so it's hard to say. I got on less than a minute after they posted a link on twitter and I was still unable to check out.

Oh well. Only the last one want too great but even then it was pretty good. Hell it's going to be at least 3 years between games and likely 4. It's not like they are cranking them out every year

They didn't lose them. And they will still make games for sony. Fuse did not do well at all and sunset has sold poorly so maybe its better for them to stick with ratchet and clank lol
so in your words microsoft did not lose bungie for not allowing to make nothing but halo. fuse was pretty awful and sunset has sold pretty well for new ip and teh game is not awful like fuse.

Is there anything that separates the Order from other 3rd person shooters? I haven't read much about it.
Its pretty much your typical third person cover shooter, but the graphics are hands down the best I've seen, the atmosphere and setting are also really great IMO. It seems like the game to hate at the moment though lol Here's a nice gameplay vid from the show.

they need to give GoW a rest, seriously. let santa monica work on something else for christ sake.
They were working on a new IP for four years and then it got cancelled cause it sucked. Bring on some GOW goodness, Im ready.

Wait what studio did sony lose?
He's probably talking about Insomniac.

Holy sweet Mother of God, GoW really needs to go away for a while... The formula has been done to hell and back, and there's been almost nothing added to the series other than graphical upgrades and the mediocre MP from Ascension. If really like to see what SSM could do with their full resources pinned on a new project. And no, all of the games being developed jointly don't count... The work and creativity with those can almost have the entirety of the credit given to the other devs involved.

Bungie was owned by Microsoft. Insomniac was never owned by Sony.

Not a God of War fan, but if they got rid of Kratos and changed mythologies (or how about the general setting?), i might be down to play one.

Hell, just make it Asuras Wrath 2, but make the gameplay parts actually good. I would love a super over the top GoW.
