Playstation Move Bundle + Game (40$ Value!)
I'm surprised Sony has brought out what Nintendo brought out years ago and act like this is something revolutionary. The Move is highly over-priced and buggy. 100 bucks for the starter pack, but some games require two controllers to play, which is another 50 bucks. For 150 bucks you can almost buy a whole Wii system with games.
i think you can make comparisons to the wii in form, but not in function. The motion not only uses some of the same mechanics as the wii, it also has the benefit of the lit ball end with the camera. It uses accelerometers as well as the camera tracking with the ball lit ends. This allows it to function much closer to what the wii set out to do, but couldnt actually deliver.

I personally think the Move is better than the Wii, not because of the fact it just works better, but because its not meant to "revolutionize" gaming in a sense that control schemes must adhere to a strict code, but more so to give the gamer options that he prefers. Games like MAG and Resident Evil can be completely enjoyed with normal control schemes involving dual analogs, but also have the option to uses something like the Move/Wii if its to the users benefits.

Regardless if the Move is "better", it allows more options for the gamer to make. It gives them choice.
Just a heads up, the Move + Sports Champion bundle is back in stock. Unfortunately, The Fight is still backordered. Meh.
Hmm, looks like it is readying just the Move bundle for shipment for me $71.42. I think I want "The Fight" anyway, but CAGs may want to see if there is an option to cancel part of your order if you don't care for the extra game.

And does "The Fight" require another Move controller or not? I'm sure it probably doesn't, but I've read both ways.

They still haven't shipped mine out yet despite it coming back in stock...

edit: Like turis, mine looks like it's being processed now.

Well, yesterday mine didn't say "ready for shipment" but now it does. Does yours?

Yeah I checked and it does, same $71 amount as you. I wonder how they came to that total anyway

It doesn't require two Move controllers, it's possible to play it with a DS3, but it's MUCH better with two Moves.

I ended up buying another Move controller on Amazon with some credit.

Thanks for the info. They had one Move controller left at Hastings, which I was only in because I was at family for the holidays. They even had a 20% off coupon off controllers. But since I didn't know for sure when my order would ship from Sony, I didn't bite. I'm sure a Wal-Mart around me has them though.

I for one am loving the Move. It really enhances games that use it, and the hardware itself works flawlessly. Sports Champions is great for those who enjoy Wii sports types of games but barf at the cutesy, uber simplistic low rez graphics, and scoff at the lame "waggle" controls that would have been more easily accomplished with a button press. Finally, we have real, honest to god motion control.

At first I was sad about the lack of bowling in sports champions, but of all things, bocce ball, made me forgot all about it. Its just amazing how the simple act of throwing a ball, but with perfect 1:1 arm motions and control, and perfect in game physics feels. if you loft it in the air with an underhand throw- the ball does that, if you crouch and roll it, it does that too- big overhand toss? sure why not? Sounds dumb but its really poetry in motion to experience.

Mine stated Ready for Shipping and expected ship date of 01/04. The Fight is still sold out. I managed to get another controller from Walmart.com. I got luck and seen them back in stock, it's expected sometime next week so I hopefully won't have to wait to long. I'm just hoping they ship the Move bundle soon!!

OK, just an update. I ordered on 12/29, the bundle has finally shipped out on 01/05, the game (The fight) is still sold out. I should have mine on 1/07!! :)

Same.

Guess I'll amuse myself with Sports Champion while waiting for The Fight.

Same here, thankfully my other PS move controller will also be here tomorrow so I'll be able to experience the full effect! LOL

OK, has anyone got there copy of The Fight yet? I got my Move bundle in last Friday but still this morning the game is still on back order.

I ordered on 12/28 and The Fight would have been sent out for me on 1/10 if it wasn't cancelled (some problem with my payment type so they auto-cancelled it.) I'm actually glad they did since I have a huge backlog of games + I don't mind waiting for a better deal for me (like GS's buy 2 Move games for $50.) So I got the Move bundle for $71+$6 tax. Not bad overall.

Just got a shipping confirmation last night for The Fight. IDK why it took Sony so long to restock their own product, but whatever.

I have to say, I like my kinect more than my move. the move was used a ton the first week, but after that, bleh. Sports champ was good the first week, but then i noticed how shallow it is, no personality. I did like heavy rain w/ it though and RE5. But to be honest the kinect is just, better. My opinion of course. Everyone that comes has tried the wii, move and kinect out, and the kinect has won every time.. That being said, I really hope some really really good move games come out so i dont feel so bad about my purchase.

The Fight's scheduled to ship out tomorrow for me.

So far, I'm having hella fun playing that Gladiator battle in Sports Champs.

Yeah I love the Move so far. My fav in Sports Champions right now is Disc golf. Also I tried a demo of "beat sketcher" and it sucked ass

The Shoot is still on backorder for me. I wonder if I contacted Sony to cancel it, would they charge me additionally for the remainder of the Move, or would I be able to keep it for $77 shipped?

Well it might be different for you since you're going to call and cancel, but they only charged me $77 (after tax) as they apparently had some strange problem with my credit card. See story a few posts above.

Yeah mine finally states a shipping date of 1/13 so I"m guessing it will ship on 1/14. I want my copy of the Fight, since I already bought another move controller and it's the only other game i want for Move right now...I"m really digging my Move, don't regret it at all...Disc Golf, Gladiator, and Table Tennis are AWESOME!!!

Dammit. My copy of The Fight shipped on 1/13 and was supposed to get here on 1/15, but I guess due to bad weather the expected delivery date is now 1/18.

Got mine yesterday too and I suck at it big time and so far, I'm not a fan. I did however find some tips from the developer so I'm gonna give it another try when I get home.
This. The move games I was interested in (NBA 2K11 and Time Crisis Razing Storm) don't actually require the move, and play just fine without it. I'm really waiting for something that is a sure-fire buy before I grab either move or kinect. Either that or they bundle move or kinect with a game for much less than the price the current bundles cost.
Not about your post, but about your sig. How are you a Chicago native and a Bulls fan, and you don't know that the Bulls titles were in '91, '92, '93, '96, '97, and '98. They didn't win 6 titles in a row. '94 and '95 were won by the Rockets.
