Playstation Trophy thread and Platinum bragging

"Demon's Souls wasn't that bad" farming drops over and over is pretty bad to make weapons and having to follow specific sequences (and tendency) to get items/kills needed . I don't know I played that game a lot and didn't get all of the trophys because it almost makes you make different characters and multiple play through with single characters to get the plat. Great game, but not an easy plat by any means even if you know what you are doing.
From what I've heard of Star Ocean, though... ~600 hours? Yikes..
yeah, that game is ridiculous. that and warhawk are the biggest grinds for plat. wkc is pretty bad too.

All of Sony's online-only games are pretty time-consuming to platinum (Warhawk, SOCOM Confrontation and MAG), and that's assuming you even have the skill level to pull out some of the feats required

You mean Warhawk is borderline impossible to Platinum (Unless all you did was stat boost). Socom: Confrontation is up there. Both are hard because they are MP trophies.

I platinumed MW2 and only 1 trophy away from Heavy Rain. I just want to try the beginning with the Move.

Do many of you keep your games after you platinum them?

I have the plat and 100% for Fallout GotY. Amazon is offering 14.50 for the trade. Is there any reason to go back to that game?

Typically, once you 100% an Xbox game or get the platinum trophy, you've done just about every single thing there is to do in the game. Usually, I'd get rid of whatever game I achieved 100% in, but it really depends how much you liked the game and if you think you'd go back and play it again just for fun

In my case it's more about how much I liked the game and would like to go back to it, rather than if I have already platinum it (not that I've gotten that many platinums, mind you). For example, I kepty BC2, but sold Uncharted, because I just wasn't going to go over it again after the two runs it takes to platinum.

i dont keep any game honestly. some i might keep longer, but they will all eventually get traded in. in fact, the only game i kept was 3d dot game heroes because i use the in game creator to make sculptures with wooden cubes in real life.

although most of the games ive platted, i just get used at gamestop, plat within the 7 day window and then return for a full refund. free rental service.

Basically, well looks like I have to start over with trophies my account is banned and such :/ oh well plan to only play games I will inevitably 100%.
Also dude just get the credit for COD: Black ops looks like you can get 48 for it.

i got 37.50 for black ops since i used it to put towards dead space 2. i only bought it $40 off craigslist, so im down for only paying $2.50 to play that piece of shit lagfest.

dont do too many sculptures though since they cost almost $100 in materials.

pictures dont ever really do any of them justice though.

Out of curiosity, how'd you get banned?

still have no clue I am guessing someone reported me for something or other  as I do not really play online much and I do not use jailbreak. I think the only thing I do is share my account with wife and family for downloading stuff (I was a PS3+ memeber )

I should have one for Batman but man those challenge maps are tough to get, uncharted 2...so close, godfather 2 i have almost all other than the online trophies, and I have one platinum in Saw, it was the easiest thing I've ever done
Working on Infamous right now, Shard are going to be time consuming, some of the stunts are hard to get. :(
Infamous was my second one I think. The shards are time consuming. My advice is to try and keep track of how many you have collected on each island, as it makes going back a bit easier. If I remember correctly there are also two that wont show up on your minimap just by doing the scan. One is on top of a really high building and the other is on a piling out in the water, both are a bit out of range if you just run around spamming the scan.

I think my last trophy was the stunt one though, because I had trouble pulling off the air lightning blast then thunder drop combo. In the end I found the best place to do it was from a fairly low warehouse by the tunnel leading to the final island.

Good luck getting it.

I got that stunt already in the warren, haha.

The problem oine I seem to have now is the grenade bounce back, when going to fight
Alden on the tower
there was a spot I could have done it, I just didn't know it was a stunt until I popped up later in the game. :(

youtube the stunt, theres another place where you can do it where they will always respawn.
Just got my 3rd - R&C:ACiT
Really fun game as all the RC games have been. I just wish they would have patched Tools of Destruction with trophies.

Ok I'll join the party... GOWIII first Plat (first one I've tried for) and it kinda pissed me off a little bit backtracking for certain points to do things. I guess I'll have to keep better saves. Anyway it was satisfying to get the the final trophy.

Nice I played it off and on here and there, but I finally cracked down and decided to finish it. Kinda mad though. One of my quests glitched. In the Secret Armoury DLC pack, one of my waypoints to turn a quest in, is inside the armoury.

My first was COD MW2 in December 09.

In order CODMW2, Uncharted Drakes fortune, GTAIV,LBP,GOW1,Demons souls,Resistance2,GOW2,GOW3,Tekken 6, COD black ops :joystick:

Iv got all my platinum's after joining ps3trophies.com for the guides and multiplayer help.

Just scored my 4th plat. God of War 3. I got all but 3 trophies (one of which was the platinum) when I had the game back in summer, but traded it away for Uncharted 2. I picked it up again for $15 at Blockbuster, and once I managed the 1000-hit combo, I knew I was going to get the platinum - finding all minotaur horns was the last. There is such a feeling of accomplishment when you plat a game that isn't one of those "play the main story and get 100% of the trophies" games.

GoW3 was a pretty easy plat. surprised they didnt put a trophy in for beating it on the hardest setting.

i dunno what my next one will be. kz3 was a joke.

My 1st Platinum was Mass Effect 2

Right after countless of deaths I finally beat it on Insanity and that awesome little white gold trophy popped up.

It almost brought a tear to my eyes. First & Only Plat.

It was actually the only game that I felt motivated to 100%

My first plat was Borderlands about 2 months ago. Came close in a lot of games, almost got the Assassins Creed 2 recently but didn't want to look for all the hidden feathers. Oh well, I just wanted to platinum at least one game.

My first was in GOW3 like alot of other people. Second was for Uncharted 1, which was a good amount tougher to get than GOW3. Working on UC2 now, but my Bluray drive crapped out, so I took it to a shop to get fixed.

GOW3 was pretty easy, especially if you glitch the game so you can beat Titan Mode easily and auto max your weapons. The only real trouble I had was the 1000-hit combo. I tried the Hades Claws spam, but couldn't get it to work until this last time I tried.

I"m only 1 trophy away from getting the platinum in Uncharted 1 (can't get it because I lent the game to my brother), currently getting the last 2 in Enslaved, and 2 Combat challenge trophies away from plating Arkham Asylum. As you can see, I'm right on the edge with 3 more games.

1. Uncharted
2. Uncharted 2
3. Assassin's Creed 2
4. Dragon Age: Origins
5. Ghostbusters

I should have the platinum for Burnout but the game glitched and did not give me credit for completing 10 timed challenges.

Fallout 3 and 3D Dot Game Heroes only have a couple trophies left each but need to be started over.

BatMan Arkham Asylum and Assassin's Creed 2 are my only Platinums. My 1st was AC2 and it felt awesome I walked around the house like an assassin.

finding all the tech orbs in enslaved... :bomb: especially stage 5.

people rate batman higher up on the plat difficulty scale cuz of shock and awe extreme, but i didnt find it terribly difficult. took a good number of tries though.

Yeah, the Tech Orbs are a pain in the ass. I mean a REAL PAIN IN THE ASS. The Arkham Asylum ones will be pretty difficult too. I've tried, but I can't seem to do well enough to get the high ranking on most of the combat challenges.
I'm so close getting the Plat in Uncharted 1 (All I have to do is beat Crushing difficulty - which is insanely hard compared to crushing in Uncharted 2) and God of War 3 (I need to find the last of the Minotaur Horns, and figure out how to pull off a 1000 hit combo).
Yeah, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was my 1st Platinum! :applause:
Can't wait to pull at Hat Trick when UC3 drops 11.1.11:D

I had to spend $6 for eyetoy cameras on amazon (cheapest one was in a bundle) to get my platinum on Burnout Paradise. I think I'm going to work on the platinum for COD: Classic next.

I'm almost there on Ghostbusters. I'd have to play through at least 2 more times to get a couple of the trophies.

Plus I have almost all the multiplayer ones to go, and almost no one plays the multiplayer anymore.

To get the online ones, you really need to play with people you know who will follow the gameplan(there are easier ways to beat some of the online missions but people will not follow them ie on the one where you build the pylons on the last one it's 100x easier to win if one person guards the pylon while the others go keep the monster slime things away from it by constantly freezing it and not killing it)
